Smoketail dipped his head, lightly embarrassed. "I just asked, because it's not my place to take complete control over my Clan when one cat dies." he mewed quietly.

[Cheesles]

"But yes it is your place if the leader dies." She mewed. "So why are you so hesitant?" She mewed quietly.

[Ace]

Redstar sniffed the air. Past the overwhelming scents of all the clans, his nose picked up the distant smell of rain. He looked up, and not surprisingly, the clouds in the distance were a threatening dark grey. "Smoketail!" Redstar called out, his voice above everyone else's. "Take some cats and bury Wolfstar here. You'll have to mourn along the way. We shouldn't stay here much longer." It pained Redstar to leave this place. It had, after a while, become his home. He journeyed to this territory, and now he was journeying away from it.

Redstar faced the other leaders. He accidentally caught Silverstar's eye...and it looked like her brain went on vacation for four days or something. Redstar coughed and ignored the strange look. "I think I should lead on behalf of all the clans. Any objections?"

[Bumblebee~*]

All of Bee's charries agreed, except for Ravenfeather because she's too busy being an arsewipe somewhere else in the clearing.

Sparrowkit nearly gagged. Fernbreeze was Smoketail's mate... but really? Too much PDA going on. Ick.

He rolled his little kit eyes at Berrykit. She was such a stickler for rules, and when she wasn't doing or saying something stupid, she was crying and stuff. It made him want to pawnch her cuff her across the ears sometimes. Normal kits spoke their minds and didn't give a mouse tail what anyone thought. Maybe she wasn't a normal kit. Huh.

[Goldenstorm]

Goldenstorm ignored Berrykit for the moment, deciding fights between the kits, were meant for only the kits. He sat down and silently mourned, thinking. A single question came to his mind and he quickly rose to his feet and padded briskly to Smoketail. "Smoketail, I have to speak with you." he mewed seriously, How was Smoketail going to get his nine lives? How was he going to appoint a new deputy if you had to be a leader to? Why is it that WindClan has to go through these problems?

OOC: *cough* WE SHOULD KILL SMOKETAIL! YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! 8D You know, to test if he got his lives yet. XD

Cedarkit suddenly felt herself being pulled into her sister and then suddenly force-joined to agree that Smoketail was cool to be the new leader. Whoa. She liked him in all, but that didn't mean she had to be dragged in. She jumped away from her sister, looking at her with a slight frown and took her paw to lightly hit her own the head.

"Berrykit, you're such a silly cat," she mewed with a little giggle. She pricked her ears at Redstar's crazy mew, not understanding half of it. Just that there was rain or something and they needed to bury and lead or... soemthing. Anyways, it didn't matter, he said rain which was super fun! But also uncomfortable.

"Hey, Otterkit, can I use your big, fat, body to shield me from the rain?" She grinned at him, almost as if her question was of the utmost innocence.

Oh StarClan rain. Let's get away from the rain with Redstar! Please, please don't let it touch our fur! Goodness, it's just rain. It's not like they would be tied down because of rain, honestly. Rain didn't cause a force field to come up and trap them all to die. Goodness, Redstar, it's just rain, and if it was going to rain it was going to catch them anyways. What a mouse-brained cat!

Littlestar sighed. He just wanted to leave already and he was getting irritated because they hadn't moved yet and now because it's about to rain then they were going to move! Goodness! Maybe he was just trying to force himself to leave because he loved this place so much, but standing around after all of the crap that happened just for this wasn't going to fix anything.

He padded up to Redstar, non-too-happy and said: "Yes, yes it's all fine," in a tired voice, "let's just go." He waved his tail forward towards the exit, ushering Redstar forward.

Kestrelpaw groaned loudly. OH, STARCLAN! Not only were his injuries irritating him, all itchy and stuff, but he had to stand in coming rain. "Can we just go already!" He mewed out loud, "Who cares who leads? Aren't the stupid cats who already went there supposed to lead anyways?" He growled. "I'd be an elder before we got out of here!"

[Naruto]

Smoketail nodded to Redstar. "I support you being leader, currently." he meowed, flicking his tail over his mate's ear affectionately before prowling towards Goldenstorm. "Yes?" he asked, yet at the same time he looked around, star-lit eyes searching. "Birchfoot, take Mintleaf and Badgerclaw to bury Wolfstar," he ordered. "If any cat has anything to say to our old leader, go with them. Minkfur, can you please speak the ancient ceremony that will guide his soul to StarClan?"

[Goldenstorm]

Goldenstorm took a breath before speaking to his deputy, "Smoketail, how will a new deputy be named before next moon rise if you cannot receive your lives? I'd hate for WindClan to be the ones to break an ancient tradition." he frowned, a sticky situation they were in. Or so he thought.

Badgerclaw looked up as he heard his name, the tom nodded and rose to his paws. Sadly padding over to the body of Wolfstar. He sat beside, it whispering something that he could barely hear, then waited for the others to arrive.

"Ouch!", Berrykit mewed. "That wasn't necessary!", she meowed to her sister. Then she began to laugh at the joke Cedarkit made about Otterkit.

Minkfur nodded to Smoketail. "Of course I do. Ain't I da medicine cat for that?", she meowed and padded to a quiet place where Wolfstar should be burried. There she waited for the cats who burried Wolfstar.

As everyone has gathered shr rose to her paws. "We gathered here ta guide our clanmate, friend and our beloved leader to 'is final journey ta StarClan.", she mewed. "Wolfstar 'ad a long live. He was a great leader and made our clan all strong and good. He lead us through cold leafbares, through times of hunger an' need. Now it is his time to rest with 'is friends and family. May he has da rest he reserves." Then she sat down and waited for the cats to burrow the old leader.

[Naruto]

Birchfoot dipped his head. "Yes, Smoketail." he murmured respectfully, moving over to where Wolfstar was and just barely hearing the old medicine cat's ceremonial words. "May you rest in peace," he murmured.

Smoketail blinked at Goldenstorm's question. He hadn't thought of that. Wolfstar's death was so sudden... "It cannot be helped," he meowed, flicking his incredibly long tail. "We must put the welfare of the Clan first. Many leaders before have foregone the deputy ceremony had something happened to the deputy. I do not plan on dying on the way there, but..." his eyes flashed. "I will announce the deputy after I see who is able to be deputy."

[Wolvine]

Otterkit looked down at his thin body. "Don't worry Cedarkit. You have enough blubber to keep you warm even if it started snowing. Your like a walrus!" His reply was in the same innocent tone.

[Member]

Cedarkit would have been properly angry if she knew what he'd said. "What's a walrus?" She asked, not knowing what the thing was. She frowned then. Maybe if was a big fat thing. She swiped a paw to cuff him on his silly little ears.

[Wolvine]

Otterkit sniggered. In reality he didn't had no clue, but he wouldn't let Cedarkit know that. "Its this huge fat thing with big teeth and very little brain. Its really slow and dumb, but its hide is so thick its impossible to kill it."

Cedarkit glared at Otterkit angrily. Mouse-brained cat. "Well at least you'll never beat in a fight," she mewed, flicking him in the nose with her tail. Psh. She was invincible. He'd never hurt her! He never could!

[Wolvine]

"Yup. Lucky fatty." Otterkit smiled.

MUSELESS

"Shut up, Otterkit!" Cedarkit yelled out. He was such a poop nose. She jumped at him, hoping knock him down at something and then wrestle his ears around with her jaws of fury. But then she felt a little self-conscious, which wasn't an every day thing. What is she actually crushed him? She'd be known as the fattest cat for the rest of her life.

[Lynx]

"Cedarkit! Otterkit!", Berrykit mewed. She stepped between both an put on paw on Cedarkits head and one paw on Otterkit's bottom since it was the nearest thing she could get from the other kit. "Stop it please! We will travel a long, long time! We will need our energy! Maybe we even get apprenticed during the journey when it takes so long!", she meowed.

[Cheesles]

Nightfeather padded over to where Wolfstar lay. He pressed his nose into the leaders fur. Cold had already taken hold of the dead leader. Nightfeather mumbled a few words of prayer and then straightened up, nodding respectfully at Smoketail. He stepped back to let other Windclan cats pay their respects, he wished to help carry the leaders body to where it would lay forever.

Shadowstar nodded sympathetically at Smoketail, he knew that he was very reluctant. But Shadowstar knew that Smoketail would be the leader that Windclan needed, he was strong hearted and loyal. He would make a great leader.

Ivykit sat down, her stomach ached, and her head spun. She had been this way for some time, but wasn't bothered going to Minkfur, she was far too busy. She lay down, and licked water from an old puddle beside her. The water tasted foul, dispite being fresh, but she knew it would help her, hopefully.

Suddenly her eyes rolled back, she slumped to the floor, her breath was quick and shallow, hardly breath at all. Pain, worse then ever, stabbed her abdomen, she began convulsing violently on the floor.

Hazelspirit instantly rushed over, not caring wether this cat was from Shadowclan or not. She watched, there wasn't much she could do. She tried to hold Ivykit down, to prevent her from seriously hurting herself as she fitted. But was struggling. Then suddenly, the kit was still. Ivykits breathing was slowing, and then stopped all together. Hazelspirit turned, looking at the cats that had gathered. "She's dead..." She mewed.

Silverfeather fell in silent grief over her daughters body. She tried not to show her sadness, but the way her ears were flattened, and the way her paws twitche no cat could misread the signs of grief in the she cat.

[Lynx]

Minkfur shook her head. "Dis day took too many cats already. Maybe it's a bad omen of StarClan not to go?", she wondered loud.

[Goldenstorm]

Goldenstorm nodded, "Very well Smoketail." he nodded his head, adressing his new leader appropriately. He might not have his nine lives, but he was deputy for a reason. He thought up something else, a situation he thought important.
"May I suggest that the strongest warriors walk with the queens? Who knows what we'll come across out there. I wouldn't want to risk loosing any kits." he mewed, thinking of Berrykit as he switched the subject. He wanted her as his apprentice, she was bright. He didn't want to loose her before her training, or after.

[Wolvine]

OOC: Yeah he's totally reacting to the death of a kit isn't he? XD

Otterkit looking in shock at Ivykit. He padded over cautiously, his fur on end. He didn't care about Wolfstar, but his own sister... It was too much for him. As he reached the body he began to sniff at her face, hoping against hope she would wake up, even though she no longer breathed. He knew she was ded, but he didn't want to accept it. As soon as Minkfur said the words he spun round, a furious light in his eyes. "Starclan or not, I am going on this stupid journey. If it wasn't for it Ivykit would still be alive! I can't let her have died for nothing!" His voice cracked, but Otterkit wouldn't wail. He wouldn't whimper or cry. She was dead, nd though it pined him there was nothing more to do.

Silverfang padded over to his mate, giving her a quick comforting lick. Grief
was clear in every one of his movements, and his eyes grew blank as visions of dieing cats emerged. They fell off cliffs, where savaged by foxes, mauled by badgers, illnesses that ate at one's inside... Too much pain. Too many deaths.

Wolvine looked at Ivykit's body and laughed. "I DIDN'T LIKE HER ANYWAY!"

Hazelspirit noticed a slight rise and fall in the kits chest, but decided not to tell the family, she didn't want to get there hopes up. But she hoped Ivykit would do one thing..

"It'll be alright Otterkit." Ivykit mewed, weakly raising her head and looking desperately into his eyes. But instead of being filled with fear, they were fill of hope. Then her eyes closed and her lay and her breathing became completely still, she was dead....


OOC: I'll do the others later...

Smoketail blinked, his eyes shining with grief. "Or maybe it is a sign that we have stayed too long already?" he meowed. He flicked his tail towards the kits that tumbled and played, then to the queens and elders, who sat together discussing the days of their youth when nothing was complicated. "More cats will die the longer we stay."
