Waiting For The Journey Ahead(Eagle)

Badgerclaw waited outside, in the cold, flexing his claws in the frozen moorland. He knew that he was going to find the lost Clan with his mate, Eagleflight. He was growing eager now. Badgerclaw didn't want anyone else coming with him, especially Goldenstorm. He wouldn't be able to bear the loss of a good friend. Whenever danger came about, he would protect Eagleflight, but he knew that Goldenstorm wouldn't sit and watch.

eagleflight walked up and dipped her head, then sat down beside him. "its time isn't it?" her mate nodded and she looked over the horizon. a silence seemed to last for a while, then she pointed to a cliff ridden mountainside beyond the moorland. "there. thats where my clan is."

[Goldenstorm]

Badgerclaw stood. "Let's go."

eagleflight turned back to look at the clan shes grown close to, then dipped her head and padded after him.

Badgerclaw smile at the way Eagleflight calmly took on great challenges. "You better show the way." he fell behind so that he was standing beside her shoulder.

eaglefligh stopped for a moment to look at the area. "we'd better take the path along the stream, that way we'll save time and energy."

Badgerclaw nodded agreement and waited for Eagleflight to start moving. As they padded along the path, he decided to stir up a conversation. "How long do you think it will take to get here?" he asked. He wondered if they could run there.

"hmm... a total of 3 sunrises, one to get there, one to look for cats, and one for bringing them back." eagleflight said after some thought.

meanwhile sparrowflight was back in the forest around venomclans remains ''nothing, no kill.its leafbare and i need to eat!

sparrowflight spent most of her life searching for clues of the survival of venomclan nothing yet though. she remembers most of everything . most that is. as she recalls no one survived, not a cat
nor a littermate she has lived in the forest almost all her life. almost 2 days after her apprenticeship her clan was raided by scarface everyone died her mother,her father, her sister. her sister eaglepaw, was killed by a cougar during the raid. she would give anything to find someone from her old clan.

"But it is leafbare. i love the forest but i must flee no one is here and there is no more prey.It is decided i must leave the forest in search of civilisation of other cats."sparrowflight said to herself."it cant be that hard."she told herself " ill travel north to the mountians it is overteeming with prey" sparrowflight added.

Badgerclaw considered a whole day. "What if we ran there? We could cut our time getting there in half, at least." he suggested. "We could stop whenever we get tired and catch prey. We could probably get there today."

"oh, i see now, yes, if we ran we'd get there in time!"
(time lapse, were looking over the cliff ridge on vc territory.)

Badgerclaw halted to a stop. "Is this it?" he asked sternly. He would have to prepare himself for the worst. If there were mountian lions when Eagleflight was around, they were most likely still there.

"well... we'd better stay away from that ridge, thats where they used to come out from." Eagleflight tilted her head back and asked MoonClan to keep Scarface away if he was here. As they walked through the trees, Eagleflight could feel that scalding, one eyed gaze that she knew so well where ever the pair of cats went. when they reached a thin stream, a brown blurr shot out at them, bristling and ready to fight.

right as sparrowflight was about to leave venomclan territories she saw rustling in the bushes and a strangly familiar scent in the air and then sparrowflight said with caution "who is there?'' and there was no answer and no choice but to attack whatever was in the bush

Badgerclaw was well aware of the gaze burning on his pelt and charged at the brown blurr running out of his gaze. He found another she-cat, but attacked. It could be a rogue looking for trouble. He quickly aimed a strong tackle at the cat.

she took the hit making a thud on the ground she said "stop you are on venom clan territory "

eagleflight stepped between the bristling she-cat and the spitted tom and boldly replied "i AM Venomclan." when she saw the shecats face more clearly she immediantly fell apat and pressed her head against the shecats flank, "oh, its you, sparrowpaw! ive missed you so much! its me, eaglepaw! im eagleflight now! are there other members left?"

Badgerclaw calmed himself, letting his neckfur lie flat. "Sorry." he mewed.

sparrowflights eyes were wide with amazment there she was eaglepaw all grown up sparrowflights eyes were glazed with tears as she collapsed into a dark blackout when she woke up she saw two cats standing over her and she noticed that she was coverd with herbs on all of her wounds as she tried to choke out the words "its you all grown up" eagleflight interrupted and her face was serious and yet still soft with shock clouding her eyes eagleflight said "we have come to take you to a better place where the cougars cannot find you."

"Heal first. We will bring you when you are well." Badgerclaw mewed sternly. He rested his tail on her shoulder like a mother with her kit. "We found some cat, Eagleflight. There may be more cats."

"no there are no more cats i am the only one i have lived here alone for three moons."sparrowflight added with sorrow.

Badgerclaw looked down. "Just rest, tommorow at sun-high, we leave for WindClan." he meowed.
