Telling the clan... [OPEN]

Shatteredpaw bounded into camp, the mouse in her jaws. Her eyes stretched wide with worry and her tail twitching anxiously. "Riverclan! Thunderclan have been hunting on our territory!" She mewed, her tone full of heart wrenching dispair.

Shadowstar appeared out of his den at the sound of the new apprentices voice. "Shatteredpaw, how do you know this?" He yowled.

"Me and Deathstrike found the mouse on their side of the border, it reeked of their scent, but also ours!" Shatteredpaw answered, putting the evidence carefully on the ground.

"It's only one piece of prey, where is Deathstrike now?" Shadowstar mewed again, trying to fight off the urge to find who really did this.

"I think he stayed behind to guard, in case the cats came back!" Shatteredpaw mewed.

"Yes but it is only one piece of prey!" Shadowstar repeated, his tail twitchibng with impatience.

A tabby she cat steeped forward, her deep blue eyes blazing, "One turns into more!" She mewed defiantly.

[Wolvine]

Deathstrike padded into the clearing, remains of a rabbit reeking of Thunderclan in his jaws. He dropped it at Shadowstar's paws. "I actually saw them kill this one, before I fought them off." There was a wound above his eyebrow that was bleeding (one he had inflicted himself). "There was two of them, so it wasn't too much trouble."

Raincloud padded forward, just getting done from sleeping after the night of silent vigil she had kept. "Now wait, let's stay calm." she meowed sternly, but calmly. She turned to Shatteredpaw, "Could you catch any individual scent on the prey?" she asked, her eyes serious and concerned. She didn't want the Clan going into battle if they didn't need to, though she loved a good wrestle.

[Wolvine]

"Raincloud, she has hardly learnt to tell her own clan mates appart from scent alone.Now you expect her to catch traces of cats she hasn't even met?"

Lonestripe walked out of the warrior's den, a yawn escaping his lips. He walked over to the crowd of four, seeing what the hubhub was. Something about... prey stealing? Why would ThunderClan want fish? He walked closer and saw that the prey found was that of a rabbit. Myeh. He was a warrior code fanatic, but... really?

"Um, guys, you can calm down. We don't even eat this anyways. Who cares?" Meh, he was too tired to deal with this anyways. "And, it's just a rabbit. ThunderClan barely even eats this. If it's anyones, it's WindClans. ThunderClan likes to eat squirrels and mice." It seems like Shatterpaw was making a bigger deal out of this than it really was, but... eh.

Raincloud almost growled, she looked at Deathstrike, struggling not to glare. "Well do you recognize the scents, Deathstrike?"
Without waiting for a reply, she turned to Lonestripe, listening to his opinion. "True, but if we let any Clan get away with just a single rabbit, then they'll go after more, and then they just might get bold enough to take some territory. It all adds up, Lonestripe." she mewed.

Mm. Myeh, that was true. "Well, that's true. But I'm a little surprised there are rabbits even over here." But this was no time for suprises! Wait, weren't they leaving anyways? Who cares if they tried to steal territory? He opened his mouth to say it, but then closed it again. You know, that was probably not the right thing to say. Man, he felt weird today. This whole... tired thing must be affecting him. Maybe it was the new warriorness.

Actually... speaking of warriorness. What about Orchardpaw? If any of the clans got news of what happened to her then maybe they'd percieve them as weak? But... then again, they had the most prey, and were doing the best. There ribs didn't show.

"Wait, but why would they even try to take our territory? Aren't they all leaving soon?" They said something like that at the Gathering. "And, besides, we're doing the best. Why would they even try?"

Raincloud thought, analyzing his thoughts over. Why would they try taking on the strongest Clan? She thought deeper, Speaking of which, Lonestripe is right, what are rabbits doing over here? I've never scented one in the territory. Something's starting to seem a little funny...
She narrowed her eyes at the ground as she thought, but moved it away, she would have to solve this issue on her own, she couldn't bring it up to Shadowstar, not with all the problems he was already facing.
She looked up, a bold look in her eyes as she looked over to Lonestripe, "Do you want to go check out that prey with me? I could use an extra nose." she mewed, desperate to find some other cat that wasn't Deathstrike to confide in. Maybe if she had another trustworthy cat on her side, she wouldn't be facing the tom alone, though she knew she could take him.

Lonestripe pricked his ears, feeling himself wake up more. Go with her to solve the mystery of the foreign prey? Mm. That title needed capitals. It sounded like a real case. Like the Harely Boys or something. Yeah. The Case of the Foreign Prey. Sounds catchy.

"Sure, I'll come." He grinned. He might as well find the bottom of this citation.

Raincloud nodded, a smile forming on her black muzzle, it's white blaze scoring across her nose. "Thanks." she mewed, trying not to seem too grateful, but she was.
She turned to Shadowstar, "We'll be back with news." she meowed strongly. She went back around and started padding for the Entrance, she figured Lonestripe was intelligent enough to know that he was to follow. In fact, he was one of the smartest he knew, possibly because he was one of the few he knew in the Clan.

Wait, they were going to go now? Didn't they want more information? "Uh, yeah," Lonestripe said in an unsure tone as he looked from Shadowstar to Raincloud. He followed after he soon, going towards her in a fast trot before slowing down beside her.

So... they go where now?

OOC: No its not. If TC is hunting on RC territory, where theres Rabbits that originated from WC, there are rabbit on RC terrtory. HA!

OOC: Ever heared the expression 'breeding like rabbits?' They'll only leave their warren when it becomes overcrowded, and even then they don't tend to go far. So there should be bunnies all over the forrest -.-

ooc: That's where the cats come in. Predators keep their numbers down, and rabbits tend to stay in their natural habbitat which means they would most likely den close to the WindClan territory, no where near the ThunderClan territory. Thought ThunderClan has a few rabbits it's nowhere near as much as WindClan so it wouldn't be likely that ThunderClan territory would become overcrowded, so they stay there.

OOC: I'm not saying TC would have loads of rabbits. I'm saying the areas around WC would have a good number of bunnies; not increadibly common, but not rare either. They can be found wthout much effort I'm sure.

ooc: rRght, but if they're in RiverClan, then they would stay near the WindClan border since they like they're natural habbitat.

OOC: ANd since there's so much rain and all of the animals left for some reason because of that AND because animals are smart so they all left when they sensed the earthquake was coming except for the cat for some reason which puts a hole in the plot, then yes, the rabbits would be very scarce, virtuallly nowhere, and most likely, the last ones all live in WindClan if they ever came back, which I doubt, but they did to explain why they aren't all dead... :3
