Cinderpaw felt anger go through her but of course she was still worried"i think you are very fit, but you are panting and coughing!"she said trying not to yell.

Griffonpaw could barely manage a growl as he turned slowly around and limped to his rabbit. He reached down, but he felt his whole body fall. He shut his eyes and let the black waves fall over him, it was either black waves or waves of pain, he couldn't tell.

"Griffonpaw? Griffonpaw!"Cloudfrost hissed,rushing to his apprentice's side. The smell of sickness hit him like a claw to the face. I should have made him stay!he yowled mentally,but he remained calmer on the outside. "Griffonpaw,can you hear me?"

Griffonpaw moaned in his sleep. Giant badgers were chasing him in his sleep and they were gaining. They curved fangs hanging out of their lips along with spit and blood. Their claws as sharp as steel, the color of flint. They had menacing ice cold eyes looking hungrily at him. He kept running, but they were gaining. He could feel their breath on his tail as his energy was draining them. He had to stop and then...
Griffonpaw woke up with a cold shiver as he let out a faint yowl. He lay there, panting, hoping badgers wouldn't come for him.

"We need to get him to camp. He's got a fever."Cloudfrost hissed urgently,grasping Griffonpaw's scruff in his teeth. "Cinderpaw,you get the prey. We have too many sick cats in camp to not have any food!"he added before she could argue.

He dragged him a few tail-lengths before the much weaker cat was exhausted. Griffonpaw had a large build,and even if he hadn't eaten much in the past few days,he was still heavy enough to exhaust a full warrior in no time.

Cloudfrost ignored the hunger and exhaustion that flared brightly in his head and slowly dragged his apprentice closer to camp,his eyes blazing with determination.

Griffonpaw let out a hiss as he swatted a paw in the air. He was still groaning, but he was concious now. He could probably limp back now. "Get off." he groaned. He stumbled to his paws, failing twice. He leaned onto Cloudfrost's shoulder. "Let's get out of here." then he thought. "Where's Cinderpaw?"

Griffonpaw just grunted, pulling slowly forward. Hoping Cloudfrost would stay behind him. He stopped and let out some more coughing. He had to warn Cloudfrost to stay in the Medicine Den for a few days. If Griffonpaw was sick and Cloudfrost smelled just as he did, well, he didn't have to piece the rest together.

Griffonpaw shoved into Cloudfrost before he could continue his sentence. "We're staying away from everyone, including the kits." he mewed instead of growling. "We've got to make sure we're the last two with this. The Clan can't afford to loose good warriors, future or past." he ended, his mind flooded with pain and worried thoughts of the kits and elders.

"Yeah," Although no one would know or care if I died,he added bitterly in his head. He kept padding forwards,pawsteps uneven and heavy. Cloudfrost padded into the medicine den,and memories of sitting in here while the medicine cat drilled him on what herbs to use,as well as when he'd told his old mentor he didn't want to be a medicine cat,flooding through his mind. "Make a nest....I'll get some herbs..."

Griffonpaw grunted as he sloppily padded around. Disoriented, it became difficult to do normal duties. He put to messy dens together, one for him, one for Cloudfrost. "Done." he muttered, collapsing in the den with a mixture of exhaustion and pain flowing through his head, showing no sign of stopping.

Cloudfrost grumbled;his sight wouldn't do him any good with finding the herbs,and he could barely smell anything. But somehow he managed to find tansy and the other herbs he'd need by touch and hearing;not an easy feat. "Eat these,"he grumbled,dropping them at Griffonpaw's nest.

Griffonpaw sniffed at the herb given to him. "Uggh. You gave me parsly." he pushed the green herb away. He struggled up to his paws. "What herbs do we need? I've been helping to gather the herbs lately."

Cinderpaw hurried quickly back to camp as she put the kill on to the freshkill pile she saw movement in the medicine den, she quickly ran into the medicine den. Griffonpaw and Cloudfrost were laying in their nests. she decided it would be better if they rest. she saw the nests were a mess as she picked up the loose moss. she decided she would get the rest of the herbs that they needed after she rested she plopped lazily into her nest exausted and fell asleap

Griffonpaw saw Cinderpaw come into the Medicine Den and pick up their herbs "Get out now! You can't get sick!" he yowled, hoping to scare her.

Cinderpaw flinched scared because she did not know Griffonpaw was up. "i have only been helping and i have been taking precautions!i have been going in for short periods of time and not breathing in the medicine den air." she said trying to be rather quite because she did not want to wake Cloudfrost.

Cinderpaw left before she took in much of the contaminated air. she decided to go to the moorland to hunt on her way out she heard the birds in the distance.to far away to catch so she just listened to them. she then saw a rustling in the bushes and pounced she caught a thin rabbit. by the time she went back to the clan it was almost night. she wondered if anyone knew she was gone.

Cloudfrost groaned and got up,feeling his way around the den to the pile of feverfew he'd had layed out and taking several stems in his mouth,chewing them and wincing at the bitter taste. "Still aint used to that...."
