Laying Down(Sparrow)

Griffonpaw lay in his nest, hunger clawing at his belly. He refused to eat, not with so many other not eating, he wasn't going to take food from the ones who need it more.

Cinderpaw saw one of the elders trying to get up to go to the fresh-kill pile. so she got up and brought a shrew to the elder. the elder thanked her then resumed her spot. she also got a glimpse of Griffonpaw she barely knew him and she thought that by now they would be friends considering they were both apprenticed at the same time. they have never really talked except for a hello or tilt of the head. except when they were on patrol he cared very much for his clan and would give his life to protect it. he fought very well for a apprentice his age he always looked out for shadowclan, Cinderpaw gave him an admiring tilt of the head he was a great cat for not eating and letting the others eat.

ooc: um, griffon really bad at huntin and I'm pretty sure no one wants their cat to be mates wit him. xd

Griffonpaw acknowledged Cinderpaw's gaze and he stood up in his nest. He decided he would find out what this cat wanted from him. He stalked across the clearing, straining to do so, but his will was still strong. "What do you want?" he asked, a glint of anger in his voice.

cinderpaw instantly felt the burn of his eyes in her pelt and replied "im going on a patrol if you want to come." she tried to sound as casual as possible.

Griffonpaw considered it. The Clan could always use more prey. "If it's a hunting patrol, I'm willing to go." he spoke, no emotion in his voice.

"we will leave now then?"asked Sparrowflight trying to match the non emotion his voice held

Griffonpaw nodded to Cinderpaw, starting to weakly walk out of the clearing. He walked slowly, but denied to himself that he was sick.

[Naruto]

Icy blue eyes stared at the two cats from across the clearing,Cloudfrost's sensitive ears picking up everything they said. He grunted,standing up and trotting over to them,his long fur hiding his stringy muscles and lean build. "Griffonpaw,I've been hoping to do some training. This snow isn't getting any better;we might as well train in it." His extremely sensitive nose picked up the sour tang of sickness clinging to his apprentice's pelt,but Cloudfrost didn't say anything.

"Fine." Griffonpaw said sourly, though he considered Cloudfrost his best friend. "We're goin on hunting patrol. Would you like to come?" he strained with the last couple of words.

as cinderpaw waited for cloudfrost to answer she was sort of distraught she had thought it would only be griffonpaw and her "yes,would you like to come?" she asked him.

[Naruto]

Cloudfrost fixed Griffonpaw with a stern stare before saying,"Sure."

Griffonpaw nodded before struggling on. "I'll lead." he mewed.

[Naruto]

"Where are we going,then?"Cloudfrost mewed,waving his tail to bar Griffonpaw's way. "You can't lead a patrol before knowing where your going now can you?"

Griffonpaw stifled a slight hiss. "WolfClan border. They eat deer, that means they'll live their small prey alone. It'll come over here and we can get it." he growled, he wasnt' dumb.

[Naruto]

"Just don't trespass on their territory like last time. I wouldn't be able to stop them if they caught you." He dropped his tail and stalked after his apprentice,twitching his ears.

[Goldenstorm]

"I've left that behind me Cloudfrost, maybe you should too." Griffonpaw growled back. He stopped and whipped around to see if Cinderpaw was still following.

[Naruto]

"But of course. I'm just making sure my apprentice doesn't get hurt."Cloudfrost mewed sincerely,blinking. "Ack,this stupid cold weather is giving me a headache,"he muttered under his breath.

Cinderpaw was concerned "if they argue like this than they would never get any work done." she thought. As the three of them became closer and closer to the territory of Wolfclan, Cinderpaw was thinking of Griffonpaw "why did i say i was going on a patrol?!" she said while watching the grass."i should have gone hunting myself! me and Griffonpaw barely know eachother and im asking him to a patrol,but at least im not alone." she told herself

Griffonpaw's head was starting to hurt more and more as his pelt was fever warm while he felt utterly cold. "Okay, we're here." he muttered, his hunger seeming more and more alive. "Start hunting." Griffonpaw spotted a wandering rabbit in WolfClan. It was coming into ShadowClan terrtitory, he hid himself. It hopped right over the border and he attacked. He pounced onto the hindquarter of the rabbit, his aim was off. He clawed into the rabbits cottonball tail and hooked into it. He was able to drag it further to him and bite into its neck. The rabbit was dead, but it felt like he was too. Griffonpaw lay beside the rabbit, the scent flowing through his nose. It made him hungrier, but he refused to have it. He lay there, panting with his eyes clamped shut.

Cinderpaw was alarmed he was acting strange "are you okay Griffonpaw?"she asked smelling the sickness of his breath

[Naruto]

"Griffonpaw? What's wrong?"Cloudfrost mewed,blinking as he came around the corner. The blind tom had managed to catch a thin shrew while the two apprentices were hunting;Signaling that he wasn't as useless as everyone though he was.

[Goldenstorm]

Griffonpaw was still panting. "I'll....Be....Fine." he gasped. He stood, sharp pains running through his legs. He winced as he reached for his rabbit. "Let's keep going." he continued, breathlessly.

[Naruto]

Cloudfrost almost protested but he thought about it for a moment. It would be a good way to teach him a lesson.

Griffonpaw looked as if he was getting weaker and weaker, before she could not stand it any longer Cinderpaw said "Griffonpaw stop your not fine we have to get you to the medicine den!"

Griffonpaw felt a slight rush through his body as he whipped around and growled at Cinderpaw. "What makes you think I'm not fit?" he began a quick bout a coughing as he finished the short sentence.
