eagleflight nodded at the young cat, eyes sparkling. she had recovered from her emotional breakdown over watertails injuries and hoped wolfstar gave goldenpaw a valiant name, as he was the first cat to help her when she was lost in her own memories of her dark apprenticeship. she wanted to be one of the first cats to call his new name.

Badgerclaw caught sight of Eagleflight. "You're back!" he called while rushing to her. "I thought you left." he muzzled her.
Goldenpaw saw this and smiled. Badgerclaw was not even from this Clan and he had found his own mate. He was surely going to have a great home here in WindClan.

"of course im back, silly! why would i ever want to leave? and where would i go? even if i did go back to venomclan, i could never stay." Eagleflight pressed her muzzle against his. she could sense how happy he was for goldenpaw, and that he was probably looking forward to it more than goldenpaw himself.

"i could'nt lose you either." eagleflight rose up and gave badgerclaw a serious stare. "i could never talk you out of journeying with me, but..." she started slowly. "im worried for you. if something happened...if Scarface got you...i could never forget myself." the shecats eyes grew pleading. suddenly she gave her head a hard shake and looked at badgerclaw. "forget about that for now. its goldenpaw's time now." she purred as she leaned on the tom.

Badgerclaw backed away. "Listen Eagleflight. I'm not letting you go off on your own. If I die, I'll die for you. Don't worry about me." he ended with a purr and many comforting licks.

Goldenpaw let out a mrrow of laughter. "I just don't want to be called something mouse-brained. I'm happy for you Eagleflight. You've found a good Clan and someone to take care of you. I'm sure you'll find this place good to call home." he mewed. "Why is Wolfstar taking so long?" he clawed the ground impatiently.

Eagleflight had her head resting on badgerclaws pelt, her eyes shone with joy. she wondered how goldenpaw could remain so prideful, and she laughed quietly when she remembered her own warrior ceremony. after her tail twined with her mentors everyone shouted her name, which she had forgotten about, so it had caught her completely off guard and she fell off of the highbranch, bringing darkwing with her, knocking adderstar off balance, and squishing the deputy Barkfang beneath the weight of two cats.
