"Is that what this is about? My warrior ceremony? Great StarClan, this is amazing!" he yowled. He was so exciting, heat in his paws and butterflies fluttering in his belly. "This is great Goldenpaw, now you can join the warrior den with me!"

[Mosspaw]

"I dont want Goldenpaw to leave, i dont have any other apprentice friends!" Mosspaw complained. "Maybe I'll see you when i become a warrior! I should be training anyway, if i want to catch up with a cat 6 moons older than me!"

[Goldenstorm]

Goldenpaw laid his tail on Mosspaw's sholder. "It's okay Mosspaw, you'll catch up. I plan on staying in the warriors den for a while."

[Mosspaw]

"Alright, but you'd better watch out! If you ever slow down, I'll pass you, and you'll never catch up! I bet that once I get a mentor, I'll catch twice as many rabbits than you'll ever catch!" Mosspaw boasted. "And when I become a warrior, I'll catch three times as many! You wait and see!

[Goldenstorm]

"Yeah sure. You keep dreaming Mosspaw." Goldenpaw nudged the cat lightly with his shoulder.
"You know, Mosspaw, if you don't have a mentor now, you should be looking for one." Badgerclaw suggested. "You'll get nowhere near the warrior den if you don't have a mentor."

[Mosspaw]

"How am I supposed to find one, I'm barely an apprentice!" Mosspaw meowed. "and besides... I don't know many apprentices, let alone warriors!"

[Goldenstorm]

"Well, to start, you already know two warriors." Badgerclaw said, thinking with his head tilted up. "Me and Goldenpaw."
"Hey, it won't be Goldenpaw for long, thankyou." Goldenpaw spoke up.

[Mosspaw]

"I have an idea!"
"Goldenpaw, I can be your apprentice, if you don't mind!

"Sure, but only if Wolfstar allows it. I'll have a word with him today, sometime after my ceremony." he smiled at the young apprentice, proud of his enthusiasm and boldness.

[Mosspaw]

Yay! Thank you Goldenpaw, I won't upset you!

"No problem, Mosspaw. Anything to get an apprentice to get into the warriors den." Goldenpaw said, sitting with his tail wrapped around his paws.

"I wonder what your warrior name will be."
*thinks about possible names*


"Goldenclaw, Goldenheart, Goldenpelt, Goldenstripe, Goldenface, Goldenmane, which one is the best? I guess Starclan will decide, but still, I can't wait!

[Goldenstorm]

"I know, I want my name to be something like....." Goldenpaw looked up and thought. "Something like Goldenstorm or Goldenfire. Or Golden... yeah, that's all I got." he sighed, still quivering with excitement. He was going to be a warrior! "Hey Badgerclaw, were you able to pick your name?"
"No, but my leader gave me a good name to be proud of. Don't worry so much Goldenpaw, he won't name you anything as bad as Goldenmouse. He'll probably call you Goldenrabbit."
"Hey!" Goldenpaw yowled.
"Just kidding." Badgerclaw laughed.

[Mosspaw]

"Well I hope that Wolfstar isn't SOO old that he calls you Goldendove or something!" Mosspaw laughed
"Now I'll be an apprentice with a mentor! Now I hope there isn't a dog attack!" Mosspaw thought. "I just hope that Wolfstar understands how badly i need a mentor. I won't be able to touch another blade of grass if i don't get a mentor soon!"

"please try hard to convince Wolfstar, even if he says no, okay?" Mosspaw stared at Goldenpaw with serious eyes.

[Goldenstorm]

"Calm down Mosspaw, Wolfstar is a reasonable cat. I'm sure he'll see things my way." Goldenpaw layed his tail on his to-be apprentice's shoulder.

[Mosspaw]

"Alright Goldenpaw." Mosspaw mewed, more relieved now. "But what if-" he cut himself off. "Wolfstar will see it our way" he repeated to himself. Mosspaw sat quietly, awaiting any words from anyone.

"Now that that's settled. This can't be just my ceremony. Who else do you think is ready?" he asked.

Mintpaw replied, "I don't know, but one thing is for sure. The apprentices den is getting a little crowded. Also Mosspaw Goldenpaw would be a good mentor. Just be glad that, unlike Lionpaw and me, you'd probably not end up with a mentor that fights 24/7 with another warrior like Firenose and Silverfang." She laughed and placed her tail on the apprentice's shoulder. "I swear, we hear more bickering than we train."

[Mosspaw]

"I sure hope that Wolfstar feels the same." Mosspaw mewed."Now then, when will this meeting get started, so it can end already? I'm waytoo anxious to have a mentor, and I'm sure that Goldenpaw feels worse than I do, since he's the one becoming a warrior.

"Yeah, unless I find someone to fight with." Goldenpaw added.

[Mosspaw]

You want to fight, Goldenpaw? for the first and last time as equals? until I become a warrior, that is.

"I'm already bigger than you as it is. Plus, you don't know a lick of fighting moves, I wouldnt' try anything yet Mosspaw. Wait until your a warrior."

[Mosspaw]

"I can climb a tree! Then leap off and pounce on you! It would be a problem-proof plan! Wait... You'll have to spar with me when you're my mentor! and if i surpass you then, I'll be twice as good!" Mosspaw boasted proudly. "What do you figure the first thing you'll train me in will be? I'm already good at stealth, no reason to practice that EVER, maybe you'll teach me to hunt first!

[Snigger]

Mintpaw chuckled at Goldenpaw's earlier comment, "You're not trying to imply that as anything Goldenpaw? About not having anyone to fight?" She crouched and wagged her hindquarters like she was going to pounce on him. "Last time I checked we're about even."

"And I could take you on any time."Vixenpaw mewed,narrowing her eyes.
