Goldenpaw the warrior

[Wolfstar]

The sun set slowly over the Windclan camp. In the dusk, many cats conversed or padded in and out of the camp. Wolfstar couldn't help but enjoy the scene. Right, lets begin. Wolfstar took a breath and called out the words. "All cats who are old enough to catch their own prey should now gather under the Highstone for a Clan meeting."

Foxtalon twitched an ear as he walked into camp, a scrawny rabbit in his jaws. Just in time, he thought as he walked over to the fresh kill pile and dropped his catch. He sighed as he looked at the few pieces that lay along with it. Catching prey was hard enough, but leaf-bare still came, promising even harder times. He knew that many would starve this season.

He padded away from the fresh-kill pile and took a seat where he could easily see their leader. There was a meeting, but of what? He wasn't sure.

Skimbleshanks and Lionpaw padded over to the Highstone to wait for their leader to speak.

OOC: I thought you were inactive so I send a PM to Naruto, Lionpaw is also old enough to get his warrior name. ^^"

Watertail heard Wolfstars yell from the clearing, he marched over and sat close to Wolfstar, it has been 6 moons, he suspected Goldenpaw's warrior ceremony. He licked his recently healed wounds, paitiently waiting.

Pinepaw was was sorting out herbs in his den muttering about ticks. When Wolfstars call rang through the camp. Pinepaw looked up at the cats gathering around him. Pinepaw stopped what he was doing and walked near Watertail. ''Good luck'' he whispered. Pinepaw could see in Wolfstars eyes that Watertail's apprentice was turning into a warrior. Pinepaw sighed. When is Grayfoot going to give me my full medicine cat name? I've been doing the duties for ages while that lump of fur does nothing.

Smoketail sat beneath the HighRock,his amber eyes shining. He was privileged to be Wolfstar's deputy,and he was proud of the new warriors that were to be made today. He went over the names in his head. Goldenpaw,Lionpaw,and Vixenpaw are all twelve moons today.

Goldenpaw had been sitting beside Badgerclaw discussing important Clan matters when they heard Wolfstar's call, imediately interupted. They both silently padded over to sit below the Highrock, not knowing what the meeting was called for.

Lionpaw watched how the cats gathered and looked out for Mintpaw. She was also 12 moons old and he wondered if they all get apprenticed today. It was time and he would like to hunt with his friends as a true warrior of Windclan the next day.

Mintpaw skirted into the camp with a mouse dangling from her jaws after hearing Wolfstar's call. She quickly tossed it onto the fresh kill pile and then looked around for Lionpaw. Spotting him she trotted over to him and sat down, wrapping her tail over her paws.

[Mosspaw]

Mosspaw left the Medicine Den, and headed for the highrock. "Yay! My first meeting!" Mosspaw jumped with excitement. He ran up to the highrock, skidding to a stop next to Mintpaw. "I'll sit here!" he said joyfully. "Maybe there's a new rogue in the clan territory... or DOGS coming from twoleg place! Or a surprise attack, or a large band of EVIL kittypets coming to eat us! Rawr!..." He continued on for minutes on end, then he stopped, since he ran out of ideas.

Goldenpaw, seeing the young apprentice hoping for the worst for the Clan, decided to say something "Calm yourself, Mosspaw. The Clan is doing bad enough as it is. We don't need hope that new problems will pop up. Whatever it is, Wolfstar will tell us and what we'll need to do about it if it is bad."

[Mosspaw]

"hey, i never hoped for it, I just THOUGHT it might have HAPPENED " His fur felt hot as he said this. "and isn't it best to assume the worst has happened?" Mosspaw grinned. "hey how old are you now? I never saw you in the nursery, so you must be ANCIENT! probably about 100 moons by now!" Mosspaw assumed.

[Goldenstorm]

Goldenpaw smiled, ignoring the first part of Mosspaw's words. "I'm 12 moons now. I've been here before you were even born. If anyone is 100 moons, it's Wolfstar. Right, Badgerclaw?" Badgerclaw was just listening "Yeah, Wolfstar is one of the oldest leaders ever."

[Mosspaw]

"woah... 100 moons?! Wait... how old are you badgerclaw... you must be like 50 moons if you're not 100!" Mosspaw said in amazment

[Goldenstorm]

Badgerclaw laughed until it hurt, tears coming to his eyes. "No way! I'm actually younger than Goldenpaw. I'm 11 1/2 moons. FireClan made me a warrior before I decided to leave."

[Mosspaw]

"woah... you became a warrior and you are 11 1/2? cool!" Mossheart said. "I wonder if a leader can live for a million moons, since Wolfstar is 100, and leaders get 9 lives, that must go up to a million! Do you know, goldenpaw?" Mossheart was starting to enjoy this more and more.

[Naruto]

"Hey all,"Birchpaw mewed,his eyes bright. The much younger tom waited for his sister to appear at his side before he sat down,tabby pelt fluffed out against the chill.

Vixenpaw laughed. "Finally,we get to be rid of you in the apprentice den!"she meowed,prodding Goldenpaw's shoulder with one paw. Her dark amber eyes gleamed with happiness for her friend,though.

[Goldenstorm]

"I don't know Mosspaw. I don't think they live for millions of moons though. Think about it. An average leader will probably loose 6 lives out of his or her 9. If she or he is careful, and leds their Clan right, they could probably live to 140 moons." Goldenpaw suggested. "Stop that Goldenpaw, I hate when you start thinking like that. It makes me feel like a mouse-brain." Badgerclaw complained, nudging Goldenpaw hard with his paw.
Goldenpaw laughed at Badgerclaw, then pricked his ears at Vixenpaw "What?"

"Oh c'mon! Are you already so old that you're going deaf? Or do you have thistles in your brain?"Vixenpaw mewed playfully,wrapping her bushy red tail around her paws.

Morningflower went over to sit beside Skimbleshanks. His red tabby pelt was sleek and clean like it had just been groomed. She gave her white chest a lick and sat down beside him. She cleared her throat to get his attention.

[Mosspaw]

"What? Hes leaving? aww i just made friends." Mosspaw mewed. "Maybe Goldenpaw will be my mentor! I sure hope so, he would be a good mentor!" Mosspaw started bouncing. "and then I'll be able to be the worlds best apprentice! I'll become leader, and take Goldenpaw to be my deputy! and we will be the strongest duo ever!
Ooh, and you too, Birchpaw! You could be the... uhh... Medicine cat! and Badgerclaw could be the apprentice Medicine cat! And we'll all live in a tree!" Mosspaw continued on about his future about the well planned future, and assigned each person a position, and figured who would have kits, who would father them, who would be there when they were born, what the names would be, etc. etc. etc.

"No come on Vixenpaw! What did you say?" Goldenpaw really wanted to hear her again, just so he could be sure.

[Naruto]

"Fine if you're gonna be such a kit about it."she rolled her eyes. "I said that we'll finally be rid of you in the apprentice den!"
