"He did?"she mumbled,hurt in her voice. Heatherkit was puzzled;why would he leave? He'd always acted as though he'd like her. "My belly hurts,"she whimpered,uncurling slightly to show the huge gash in her stomach.

"Yeah, but he said he'd come back," Bengal lied, trying to get Heatherkit to perk up, "he was going to find where Clovernose was, since she'd been gone so long." What happened to her? His sister? Where had she gone? Was she coming back? Would she make it back? It was all so confusing.

Bengal's eyes widened as he he saw the gash in Heatherkit's stomach. It was horrible, and it looked nasty, like it cause nothing, but unbearable pain. He was probably right. "I'm sorry I did that to you," he said glumly.

No, it was Bengalbelly who did that, but he didn't want to tell Heatherkit. He didn't want her to know that her own uncle would do something horrible like that. Wait... Bengalbelly had said that they were the same cat. So, if he was Bengalbelly, then that meant that he, in fact, did do it. That fact only made him sadder.

"Huh? No,you didn't do it."Heatherkit mewed fiercely,her eyes gleaming. "Some huge tabby did it. I saw him. But it wasn't here..."she trailed off. "Hey,did you figure out what Raven said? And if we're kin?"

"That's good to know," Bengal belly said, trying to sound cheerful, but his voice was still drenched in sorrow. "I did actually!" Bengal suddenly pipped up, his excitement back again. When he realized how loud he was being he lowered his voice. "I did! I know what she meant! You aren't the original. There's another cat who... I didn't get the name of. I just assumed her name was Heatherkit," Bengal shurggued before continuing on, "she looked just like you. Only she was way bigger! She was nice too, but... she had to leave." Bengal saddly nodded his head. "And we are! We are related! Isn't that cool?"

Heatherkit's eyes widened. "Really?"her voice was full of joy. She struggled to her paws before collapsing with a high-pitched scream.

"Yeah, really!" Bengal said happily! He jumped when Heatherkit screamed, and her went closer to her. "Don't get up, you have to lay down and rest." If she kept getting up she'd hurt herself, and badly.

"Okay." He looked around in the dark area. He didn't want to leave Heatherkit here by herself, but he didn't want to disappoint her. He step away from her a few paces. "Bengalbelly!" He shouted out, "Come back! Heatherkit wants you! Be-"

"What?" Bengalbelly grumbled out of no where. Bengal jumped at his sudden appearance and jumped a little. He looked at the larger cat with surprise.

"Uh... Heatherkit wants you."

"Bengalbelly!"Heatherkit squeaked in relief. "I'm so glad you came." A chill sent shivers through her body,and she cringed as her wounds reacted. But her eyes gleamed with affection for her friend and uncle.

Bengalbelly walked over to Heatherkit, his eyes softening. He lay down next to her and wiped his tail gently over her. "Don't strain yourself," he said gently, "now, what did you need me for?"

Bengal looked at Bengalbelly oddly. Why was he being so nice, so gentle? Just a few moments ago he was cold, not even bothering to help Heatherkit in her time of need, in fact, seeming to want her to die. Was that a different Bengalbelly? Or was he just faking it all?

"Mean cat? What mean cat?" Bengalbelly tilted his head in his curiosity. He honestly didn't know what she meant, not at all. "No, I haven't actually," Bengalbelly said, some sadness in his voice.

Bengal walked up next to them ad lay down with them. Bengalbelly shot somewhat of a glare at him and narrowed his eyes. This made Bengal's ears fall back again. To his relief, Bengalbelly just grunted and looked back at Heatherkit.

Heatherkit looked up,admiration in her eyes. "He tried to kill me,but I was too fast for him. Bengal helped."she said,casting a glance at her friend.

"He did!?" Bengalbelly's pelt bristled and he lashed his tail,
growling. "I'll find that cat and rip him into bits so small even the
birds will have a feast off him." He narrowed his eyes coldly before he
looked over at Bengal. "I'm glad he was there with you then. By the
way, when did you meet this little hero?" He asked.

Bengal's pelt was hot with embarrassment. He knew it was just him complementing himself, but it didn't feel that way.

"He is, is he?" Bengalbelly smiled before he looked over at Bengal and then back at Heatherkit. "So... how are you related to us?" He said in a playfull tone, as if he didn't believe Heatherkit.

"I.... I'm uh..." Bengal trailed off, not wanting to finish the sentence. He wanted to tell her when Bengalbelly wasn't there. It's kind of weird saying that he was Bengalbelly if the tom was right there.

"Well, I'm uh... I'm.." Bengal didn't know how to say this. It was so weird! So unnatural! Not even he would believe it! What if she didn't believe him? Well, that was a chance he had to take, now wasn't it? "I'm.... him," Bengal finally said, pointing a paw at Bengalbelly.

Bengalbelly was silent.

Bramblepaw stood in the real world looking at his slob of a mentor slumped on the ground, unable to wake up. "Some people get nice mentors that help you hunt and stuff, but I get the crazy mentor that talks in his sleep and beats me up constantly. This is why I'm always crying in my sleep, and probably why Heatherpaw did what she did..." muttered to himself, he had a strange habit of talking to himself for a very long time.

The words echoed in the dark void, bumping off the walls and through Bengal's ears. Where was that coming from? He looked around quickly until he saw another cat. It was Bramblepaw, Bengal knew for some reason, but why? He looked back at Bengalbelly and Heatherkit, to see if they knew what was happening, but they were gone. Where were they?

Bengal jumped up quickly and looked back at Bramblepaw. He was griping. A feeling of irritation filled Bengal's body. He twitched his ear and growled at the cat.

Bengalbelly's eyes slowly opened. He didn't remeber when he started, but he found himself growling. He looked up without moving from his nest and saw Bramblepaw.

"Stop being such a complainer," he growled before getting up. He got up and stretched before glowering at Bramblepaw.

"You're raiding WindClan at nightfall, not me." Bengalbelly growled at her. How could she just come in here and order him around? She had no authority over him! "As you can see, I have an apprentice to train. So go ask someone else," Bengalbelly finished before he waved his paw dismissively.
