Mosspaw's Dream {Laddaustein only}

[Mosspaw]

Mosspaw quickly fell asleep from his exhaustion of today.

His Dream:

Mosspaw was in an empty camp, and it looked abandoned, except the single cat sitting in the center of camp. He stepped forward, and saw that he didn't recognize them. "Who are you?"

[Laddaustein]

Stealthclaw smiled and turned around. "I am Stealthclaw." he said. The moonlight filtering in hit his face at just the right angle to reveal a thin scar going across his face. I am lucky I managed to walk this dream... he thought before examining Mosspaw. "I watched your fight. You fought well against my former mate, along with the warrior." he said, nodding.

[Mosspaw]

"Thank you, Stealthclaw, but why have you come to me in my dream?" Mosspaw asked, stepping backward one step, then sitting down. "Are you of Starclan?"

[Laddaustein]

Stealthclaw shook his head. "No. I am not of StarClan. However, I am here with a request." He padded forward, his scar still glowing slightly, and he said, "I need you to keep an eye on the cat you fought. I... I will not be able to, as I have other things I must work on..." His amber eyes burned like charred wood.

[Mosspaw]

"It will be difficult, given that I am of a different clan, but I will try. I will not be the first to strike if we face off, and I will not strike unless struck. You have my word. But I only have to ask, if you aren't of star clan, then where are you...?"

[Laddaustein]

Stealthclaw looked away for a moment. "You may not trust me... but I am of NightClan. The very opposite of StarClan... However, I am not like the others of NightClan, for I only seek to protect Silverpelt, my former mate and the cat you fought. I... I was forced into NightClan for my hatred of WindClan and of ThunderClan... However, you are not like the others of WindClan. I actually may trust you, given enough time." he said, answering Mosspaw's question and then some.

[Mosspaw]

"I see. Again, I will try my best, but I cannot keep her safe forever, but I will try. Thank you for choosing me, but again, why would you pick me? If you hated Windclan, then why would you choose me to defend your former mate in Shadow Clan?"

[Laddaustein]

Stealthclaw turned and padded to a puddle of water before murmuring something and appeared to be looking at something in the water. "I chose you because of your courage to defend a clanmate... No cat I have seen, even now, has just lept into a fight like that. I knew you were different. However... I do not ask that you protect her, just watch her. There should, and I emphasize should, be a hidden area near the border that leads to the area she spends her time outside of the camp. I do not know if it still exists..." he said at last, sweeping away the water and looking back at Mosspaw.

[Mosspaw]

"What do you want me to do? Just watch her?"

[Laddaustein]

Stealthclaw nodded. His voice lost the power that it had before as he said, "Just make sure... that she appears happy... If you see her at the WindClan border... tell her that I watch over her when I can, and that I approve of her choice within ShadowClan... She will know what I mean, if you tell her that..."

[Mosspaw]

"Alright, but why would I find her near the Wind Clan border?" Mosspaw was trying to make sense of what he was saying, but he couldn't. The words were shoved into his mind, replaying over and over. "I will see that she isn't upset, and give her your message."

[Laddaustein]

Stealthclaw smiled, and his voice still hasn't regained the power it had before, and he said, "She will be running patrols near there for a while, if only because she is loyal to ShadowClan now, and she'll keep an eye on the border because she views other cats more of a threat than the wolves of WolfClan." Stealthclaw started to fade and he said, "It is nearly time for you to wake. Have a peaceful sleep until then." and he disappeared, letting the scene fade away also.

Mosspaw awoke, attempting to see what Stealthclaw had told him, and wondering why he had chosen him over any other cat that he had seen? He shook his head to clear it, then left the Apprentices Den, enlightened.
