Just a Talk

[Naruto]

Raindapple trotted into the woods,not caring who followed her. She raced past all the scenery,stopping at the moss covered roots of a humongous oak tree. She hopped onto one of the roots,feeling the bark damp on her pads. Rain was still pouring down,soaking her fur,but she didn't really care. She ducked under a thick branch that was low-growing,stepping into a small hollow in the tree. It was dry in here,and she shook her fur,water flying. She sat inside the trunk of the tree for a while,her mind swimming with memories.

Blossompaw saw Raindapple "hi raindapple! what are you doing?" she mewed

[Naruto]

"Hm?"Raindapple murmured,looking up with a distant look. Even in the shelter of the tree trunk,she was still being sprayed with dew drops from the rain striking the ground so hard. "Just remembering. You know,they found me here when my mother died."she mewed,flicking her tail for the young cat to come in out of the rain.

[Persephone]

Blossompaw looked at Raindapple she didnt seem as happy as she usually did "so did your mother die too? how?" she asked

Branchpaw was on one of his annual runs. He didn't care if it was raining, or storming, he just wanted to run. The water soaking his pelt and weighing and slowing him down made a challenge for him. If he could run as fast as he could when he wasn't so heavy then who knows how he would improve! It would be great!

He glanced to the side and saw a tail disappear under a tree. He stopped quickly, throwing some of the collected water off of him just so it could be replaced quickly by new, fresh rain. He flattened his ears and narrowed his eyes. A loner no doubt. He stalked over to the tree quietly, his hackles raised. As he got closer to the tree he smelled the cats scent. It was a familiar one. Wasn't that... Raindapple?

"Raindapple, is that you in there?" He then noticed Blossompaw. How had he not seen her? "Uh... hey, Blossompaw."

[Naruto]

"I wasn't always a ThunderClan cat. My mother and father were rouges,but they wanted a better life for me. As my mother crossed the thunderpath bringing me here,she was hit by a monster,and she died."Raindapple swallowed,her throat suddenly tight. "I...I crawled here with help from my father. I used to visit him,but lately he hasn't been around." Grief flashed in her eyes briefly,then she shrugged it away and forced a smile. "But I'm glad they brought me to ThunderClan."

She smelled the new apprentice,Branchpaw. "Oh,hey. Yeah,it's us."she winced when her voice came out cracked and rough,like she'd been wailing at the stars.

[Persephone]

"HI branchpaw" she greeted

"Raindapple, I understand...my parents died when Mountainpaw and I were just kits..." she mewed quietly

[Naruto]

Raindapple nodded. "It's fine. But I'll never know if Oliver's alive or not. Not knowing is worse than grieving."she mewed.

[Member]

Branchpaw winced at Raindapple's cracked voice. He stuck his head into the dry hollow. He say Raindapple there. She didn't seem to happy. He also could see that the hollow was a little small, maybe he shouldn't go inside. He brought his head back out, feeling the rain drop on his head again.

"Hey, Blossompaw." He listened to what the two cats were talking about. "I'm sure the cat's fine." he mewed.

Leopardstrike appeared and said hi to all three cats.

"Hello Leopardstrike," Branchpaw greeted, raindrops falling off his whiskers. He shook himself, spraying the water on his fur around, but the rain soaked it again, making his actions pointless.

Blossompaw looked at LeopardStrike "hi Leopardstrike" she greeted

Raindapple jumped at her best friend's voice. "Hey,"she mewed,trying to make her voice stable and failing. "Come in,Branchpaw. There's more room,if I scoot over here." And she pressed her fur to the side of the tree trunk.

"Should you guys really be out in such a storm as this?" meowed Leopardstrike questioningly sitting outside of the tree trunk, shaking off droplets of rain and nodding to each cat as the greeted him, but his gaze lasted a little longer on Blossompaw, the same adoring stare, but he quickly shook it away. Hawkfrost had told him such emotions were worthless, and if he wanted power he would have to focus on being a loyal cat and putting himself in favor over Rainpelt with Silverstar and all the other Clan cats.

"Not sure. It's a good place to talk,though."and Raindapple smiled,somewhat forced. "Come on in."

"You sure?" He said with a tilt of his head, "Okay then." Branchpaw crawled under the hole and into the dry hollow, making it wetter. He squeezed in next to her, pressing his body against the wood so he wouldn't take up so much of her room.

"I don't mind it. I actually preferred it." Branchpaw looked over at Raindapple. Can another cat fit in here?

[Naruto]

"I'm sure we'll all fit."Raindapple mewed confidently,making her already small body tighter to fit in her friend.

Leopardstrike inched into the hollow. He was a big cat, (Not as big as Flamestar), Sucking in his extra MUSCLE, he squeezed into the hollow beside Branchpaw. "So... What now?" he muttered under his breath, his thick wet pelt, clinging to his sides.

[Persephone]

Blossompaw entered, she hated geting her fur wet "thank you"

[Naruto]

"Let's just talk,"Raindaple suggested lightly. "We are all young,warriors or apprentices. We hunt and fight too much....we should just relax a while." She suppressed a purr as Leopardstrike entered with Blossompaw.

[Member]

"I can relax when he gets his big butt off me," Branchpaw grumbled under his breath, now squished and uncomfortable. He squirmed a little, trying to get himself in a comfortable spot. He pushed Leopardstrike to make temporary room for himself and found a comfortable position.

[Persephone]

Blossompaw looked around the little hollow now it was a bit crowded "about what?"

[Naruto]

"Well,about our pasts. About our futures. That kind of thing."And Raindapple shrugged.

"well, what do you want to know..? I could tell you anything XD" Blossompaw asked
