A sigh once more shook through her silver-grey pelt. She lay down once more, head resting on her paws, and closed her eyes, letting the sounds of the buzzing Clan lull her to sleep.

Melodykit waved her tail in greeting at Luckykit. Her whiskers and tail twitched with amusment. She padded over to her sister, a small grin on her face. She sat down comfortably beside her sister with a small mouse. "You should really learn to loosen up." Melodykit mewed. If any other cat had said what Melody had said in the way she had said it, they would have had there ears clawed off. But there was a certain barrier between them. One that meant they would never hurt each other, no matter how annoying the other became. Melody knew that and sometimes toke advantage of the safety.

A cream kit watched the the others talk. His tail curled and flicked at a fly that landed on his head. He crouched and padded silently forwards, a stalk impressive for that of such a young cat. Sealkit eyed his victim warily, making sure he wasn't spottted. Then he lept with amazing silence towards Melodykit, drooling hungrily.

OOC: Heh. Cannibul cat eyes his next victim.

Joykit sighed. As if she didn't know that already. But her sister was just being helpful. "Yeah?" She mewed, managing a small smile. She would make more of an effort from now on, but it didn't mean she would be all hyperactive like the other kits. Her life was a lot more peaceful this way, and she could save her energy for more useful things.

OOC: This is before we're apprenticified and before Joy meets Soul. =]

Whitekit sat beside the fresh-kill pile, looking at a skinny mouse fondly. Her mouth watered, but she wasn't sure if she could have it or not. She decided to chance it and snatched it up quick with her small, needle-like teeth. It dropped at her paws and she nudged it experimentally. Eventually she gave a shrug and took a small nibble. She spat it out. "Gross! Too much fur." she growled gibberish. She looked at the thing, its furry body covering its delicious flesh. "Hmmm." she flicked out a singled claw and buried it just beneath the skin at the mouse's neck. She tried hard and pulled it back, the skin ripped and she could feel her claw coming towards her. It slipped out just at it's hindquaters. "Okay." she gave a questioning eye, trying to figure out what to do next. She grabbed the fur in her jaws and pulled back while she had a paw on the other side. It moved back a bit, but not much. She figured it was enough. She buried her jaws in the pink flesh and chewed. "Mmmmmm. This taste good." she purred in her foreign language.

Joykit heard the commotion coming from a small brown kit at the fresh-kill pile, and she watched with bored eyes. She seemed to be fighting with herself over a piece of fresh-kill, speaking in another language that sounded like gibberish. She rolled her eyes and got up to pad to the pile. The scent of the torn-open mouse was making her hungry again.

Joykit padded up to the pile, saw a small sort of bird and picked it up delicately with her teeth. Then she padded back over to her sister and lay down, dropping it at her paws. She tore into it, savoring the succulent taste of the fresh-kill. She licked her muzzle clean and looked up to see Luckykit. How does she understand what she said? She thought, impressed and weirded out at the same time.

Goldfeather walked slowly into the clearing, savoring the feel of sun on her fur. She streched one creamy paw upwards to get the leaf that had stuck behind her ear. She padded softly toward the fresh kill pile and picked up a thrush between her teeth. She stopped and looked toward all the groups of cat around her. I guess it's time to get to know some people. She walked over to a kit struggling to eat a mouse. "Umm."Mousebrain, you should know who she is! Icekit....no. Creamkit, nope that's not it either. "Whitekit!" she suddenly yelled. "Sorry, do you mind?" Without waiting for a response Goldfeather streched out in the sun and began to eat the thrush.

As Fangheart padded out of the warriors den and out of camp, he scented a thrush. He pricked up his ears and crouched into the hunters' crouch. Then he slinked forward.

Whitekit nodded, "Yeah. D'you want some?" she raised her sunny eyes to the older kit, "I can share if you want." she smiled at her friend.

ooc: and just so things are clear, whitekit is a brown tabby. her warrior name is gonna be Whitewhisker cause she's gots white whiskers. xd

Whitekit smiled and pushed her skinned mouse over. "Try it, it's great." she purred in her foreign language. "Then we can make our own Clan! I'll be Whitestar, leader of PineClan and you can be my deputy, Luckytail." she sprang to her paws, ready to play, forgetting her hunger.

Fangheart pin-pointed the thrush then pounced, making a direct catch. He then brought it back to camp and put it on the fresh-kill pile. Then he sat around watching the kits playing.

Whitestar thought, "Hmm..." she thought. Then her sunny eyes shone through with a great idea. She leaned over to Luckytail and whispered in her ear. "Let's go hunt outside." she smiled, excited with the though of going outside of camp for the first time.
