Re: ... Art I did this morning...
I'd recommend not having all of the edges blackened, only the ones in the back. In most of the wolf/dog art i've seen where it's looking up, it's looking at the moon, so the front of the head/chest would be normal, where the back would be darkened.

I agree with Mosspaw. For once. Prolly never happen again... but yes, I agree with Mosspaw.
And she looks very... feline. Also, if you have female characters, try to give her a more feminine look. Not neccesarily eyelashes and stuff like that, but you can also use more delicate features... a more slender, graceful pose, etc.
But it's pree good! :DD

Mmmm.... Yesh. The eyes seems rather masculine. Its a bit bold. Maybe try slimming it a little bit, using thiner lines?

Haha I disagree with Wolverine for once, or... yeah. I think that you should use thicker lines, with that same style.

Re: ... Art I did this morning...
Those lines are already the thinnest they can go. X3
But maybe you should use slightly thicker brush around the eyes? The features themselves need to be more feminine, and maybe not as sharp as a male's.

Re: ... Art I did this morning...
ALRIGHT LET'S DO THIS.
Okay, the first thing I notice is the border around the wolf. It looks like you just ran the airbrush tool over the edges. It may be shading, it may be decorative, I can't tell. If it is shading, it's really off. Things don't just get dark around the edges. And the lightsource would be very inconsistant. If it's just a decorative border I really don't think it adds anything to the overall image. It's a little confusing.
I disagree with everyone else about making it more feminine. X3 I could tell it was female even without knowing the name. Making the lines around the eyes thicker would look like eyelashes. >< Making the eyes themselves thinner, in my opinion would just make it look more masculine.
ANATOMY! This picture (not trying to be rude, honest) shows very little understanding of wolf/dog anatomy. I recommend looking at pictures of wolves, muscle structure of wolves, anything that would help you learn the underworkings of such a creature.I am by NO MEANS an expert on the subject, I'm still learning myself. ><

Re: ... Art I did this morning...
No offense, I didn't understand a word of that really XD. I don't know why I put the airbrush around it, and thank you for saying it looks feminine and the last bit, no offense but I don't want to be a freak about drawing, I don't want to be a genius about every single inch and stuff, I just want to draw like I do.

The WHOLE POINT of critique is so you can get better. If you don't want to get better, then don't ask. >I

Re: ... Art I did this morning...
... *PWNches Amber* Whoops. Bad aim. ^^;
ANYWAYS. Cheese, let me dumb it down for you.
By "the border around the wolf", she means the airbrush tool that you surrounded the wolf with. We don't know if it's shading or a drawing style, but shadows don't go all around the edges of something.
The light is coming from the moon right? And she's looking at the moon? Yeah... the shadows wouldn't be on her face. That's what she means by "inconsistent lighting".
And well... if the airbrush is just for decoration, it doesn't add much to the picture. In our opinion. It's cool if it's your style, but it doesn't really do much for the picture.
And the feminine thing... well... I still think she looks like a male. XD
Anatomy... like the structure of the wolf. I suck at it too, so yeah. Look at pictures of wolves... muscle structure... skeletal structure... and stuff. Your picture doesn't say "wolf" at first glance, so just work on studying how wolves actually look like.
WE'RE NOT FLAMING, CHEESE. IT'S CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM, SO USE IT WELL! *flails*
