"We're fine,"Foxkit growled, shaking her head to clear away the stars. "Thanks." She started to pad over to the apprentice's den shakily, stumbling every now and then. "Griffonpaw!"she called, looking inside.

"Kits," Poppypaw began, sauntering over to them, "I wouldn't get sooo excited about being made an apprentice," She mewed in an icy tone, "I was supposed to have been made an apprentice, moons ago." She mewed exaggerating the word moons.

Griffonpaw heard his name called before he reached his den. Never the less, he laid down in his piney nest and answered. "What?" he growled, not really wanting to be bothered. He was still extremely upset at Feralpelt and her blindness and how she was overprotective to the kits, who were supposed to be apprentices. He was an orphan, no one cared for him like that. No one still did. His only friend was his mentor, and he only cared for Cinderpaw. Clan life was seeming worse and worse every moon.

Griffonpaw showed his fangs as he turned his head to Foxkit, "I know, I've got the marks to prove it." he showed her the scratches she'd left on his fur. He laid there growling, a fierce glare in his eyes as he waited for her reply. Kits. They always think all they have to do is say sorry and their out of the badger's den, into the never ending fresh-kill pile. Not with me. he thought bitterly, showing Foxkit no mercy.

Foxkit looked up, not at all surprised. For whatever reason, she'd never been forgiven lightly. She and another kit would do the same thing, and while the other kit got off the hook she got punished. "Sorry,"she muttered again, looking out of the den sideways to catch glimpses of Wolfkit and Feralpelt. "Can you train me?"she asked suddenly, looking back over to Griffonpaw.

Griffonpaw pricked his ears up, very surprised. "Train you?" he asked, swiveling his head back toward her way. His eyes blurred with puzzling confusion. "Why would you want me, an apprentice who hardly listens to anyone, to train you, a good-natured kit who wishes to be a good warrior?"

"I want to be the greatest warrior ever, and even leader of ShadowClan! And you're the best fighter that I know of." Foxkit looked determined, her blue eyes sparkling. True, she did think that Griffonpaw was one of the best fighters of the Clan. Not to mention that his mentor was the first blind warrior in the history of ShadowClan.

Griffonpaw took in the compiment, showing no emotion toward it. He lowered his head onto his paws, letting silence run through the den for a few moments. "Very well, be at the training hollow at sunrise. Don't be late." he warned, closing his eyes.

Foxkit smiled happily, nodding. "OK!" She raced out of the den, bouncing happily into the clearing.

Griffonpaw couldn't help but grin a bit as he dozed off, ready to wake early before the sun.
