Foxkit blinked in surprise but turned to Griffonpaw, growling.

Griffonpaw stood proudly. "You're making a really bad move." he growled, warning the kits. He bared his teeth once more and his claw began to slide out, ready to slice into the flesh of the cats. Then, regaining himself, his put his claws away. His teeth would be just show in this fight.

Wolfkit laughed. "Mouse-brain. I know more about fighting than you think." He lashed his tail, thinking of a plan. Griffonpaw wouyld have to attack first. "Come on over cowardly snake! Take a swipe, bite my head off."

Griffonpaw laughed. "You honestly don't think I'm that dumb. I mean, of course I could take you, but that's the first thing they teach you. Not to attack first, of course that's only if you had a mentor. I guess no one really cares if you're here or not." he smiled, examining his paw.

Foxkit felt rage explode in her belly and stalked towards the apprentice silently, narrowing her eyes. NOW! While he's distracted! She leaped at him, yowling with anger.

Wolfkit yawned. "I won't be tricked by your pathetic attempts to anger me. That one one of the worst taunts I've ever headed." The tall cat grinned, showing his sharp teeth.

Griffonpaw ignored the cat's ignorant mew and whipped around and laid on his belly, hearing Foxkit. He kicked out with his hind legs, trying to send her on the ground, his aim was usually accurate, he'd beaten Cloudfrost many a time.

She felt the breath whoosh out of her lungs as she was thrown on the ground and lay, winded, for a moment. Then she got back up, eyes blazing with determination. "I won't lose!"she squeaked, narrowing her eyes.

Griffonpaw jumped back onto his paws, sitting down. "I won't fight you, but I'm not going to get my fur clawed out by a couple of fur-balls." he spat, ready for another attack.

Foxkit threw herself at Griffonpaw again, this time pushing with her backpaws to propel herself forwards twice as fast. She tried to duck underneath the older cat and grab one of his front paws in her teeth.

Griffonpaw crouched down, letting his forehead show at Foxkit. Hopefully, they would headbutt, but no one ever wins with a headbutt.

Wolfkit shot forward, fear for his friend giving him even more speed than usual. He ran around to Griffon paw's back and lept up at the apprentice's neck, hoping to diveret his attaention away from Foxkit.

Foxkit hit Griffonpaw head-on, feeling pain flow through her body as they head-butted. Wolfkit was too late by three or four seconds, so they hit. She fell to the ground, her head swimming.

Griffonpaw shook his head violently, trying to throw off the pain in his head. He rolled on the ground, aiming to squish Wolfkit and get his grasp off him. He jumped back up and faced the two cats.

Wolfkit gave a cry as the weight of the apprentice crushed him. Doing his best to stay on, he heared a crunch. The next thing he knew, his body was as if on fire. He whimpered and aimed a weak slash at Griffonpaw's neck.

And angry growl erupted from the throat of Feralpelt. She stood behind Griffonpaw and opened her jaws to grab him by the scruff and throws him to the side, where he'd, if she did it as she'd always practiced, lay stunned for a moment, giving her enough control over the situation. Rage flooded through her, she was almost ready to rip Griffonpaw to shread and kill him on their own soil, but she wouldn't, she couldn't.

She, Feralpelt, was very protective of the kits, they always seemed to come first, though, she had no kits of her own, and she didn't want any either, especially not mouse-brains like this rampaging about! She wasn't sure what was happening, nor was she updated. She hadn't seen the beginning, and neither owuld she see the very end, because she would stop it. The first thing she saw was Griffonpaw rolling over one of the kits! He could crush them under his weight! He could have killed Wolfkit! And she wouldn't have it.

Griffonpaw went limp as Feralpelt hurled him away. He rose to his paws, snarling "You're taking their side?!?" he growled, furious. The kit, as he had said, was seven moons old, his roll would have no effect on him. He stay standing, outraged and proud with his fur bristiling, his fang stuck in a snarl and his claws digging into the soil, making slots in the earth.

"Griffonpaw!"Cloudfrost mewed sharply, stalking over. He waved his tail in greeting to Feralpelt and went to stand in front of Griffonpaw. "You're pride will eventually be your downfall. If you ever get in a fight with a kit, a she-cat will defend them. Especially orphaned kits."

Foxkit looked up, her eyes burning with pride and sorrow and anger all at the same time when Cloudfrost said she was orphaned. All she'd ever heard was that her parents were killed in a horrible accident.

Wolfkit fell off Griffonpaw's neck and looked up at Feralpelt, giving her a small smile. He stood up and looked over at Foxkit. His friend seemed sad. "Whats wrong?" He asked, padding over.

Feralpelt hissed at Griffonpaw, rage in her larger than that of an angered fox. "Do you have anything up in you thick skull!?" She spat at him, snarling. "You were fighting kits!" She dug her now unsheathed claws, wanting nothing more than to rip off the other cat's ears. "In weather like this we have no time for your stupid quarrels! What if you killed one of them! They haven't learned fighting and defence like you have, Griffonpaw!"

Griffonpaw couldn't believe what he was hearing, he stood up to Feralpelt first. "Are you blind? First, not one fang touched their fur, and my claws neatly sheathed the whole time. Plus, they are right, they're plenty old to be training, I've done no harm!" he growled, then he whipped back to Cloudfrost "I can care less what she thinks, their not the only orphans, I didn't know my parents either you know." he snarled. He turned around to the apprentices' den to head to his nest "This whole Clan has lost their minds." he spat under his breath.

Feralpelt snarled feircly. Couldn't that brat see that he could have crushed Wolfkit into oblivion! Well, not oblivion, but the point still stood! That apprentice was out of control! Someone needed to tame him, his logic was flared into places that made less sense than there were prey in the clan. She shot a quick glare at Cloudfrost before turning towards the kits.

"Are you two okay?" She asked them.
