Smoketail leaped forward, claws sheathe, to push Curseflight out of the way. "She is not a rogue!"he snarled, turning so that he was facing the warrior. "If I remember correctly, you were born in FireClan and made a warrior there." He felt claws slide through his thick fur, completely unaffecting him.

"There is nothing in the warrior code about defending your Clan with your life. Curseflight has different ideals on this, but that does not mean that she has betrayed this Clan nor the warrior code. You need to think before you speak. She did nothing wrong. It was uncalled for, yes, and we could have avoided this. But she did not break the warrior code at all."

My my, it seems he can rant. Curseflight observed, being pushed out of harm's way.

Fernbreeze leapt out of no where knocking Badgerclaw backwards onto the ground. "I have been watching." She mewed, "I have been watching this whole ordeal." She continued stepping backwards. "I was following this rogue and it is true that she was hunting on our terriory." Ferbreeze padded over to the bushes behind the dead rogues body. She then pulled the limp body of a rabbit from behind it, one bite had been taken from it.

She lay it down and continued. "Then Curseflight came in." Fernbreeze mewed giving Curseflight an icy glare. "The warrior code does say you must defend the clan at the cost of your life, but hers," She motioned at Thunderfeather, "Should never have ended. Badgerclaw shouldn't have given the the rogue so much respect but he was noble enough to realise that one rabbit from a clans territory, shouldn't cost a rogue or loner its life."

[Goldenstorm]

Badgerclaw nodded thanks to Fernbreeze, then he turned back to Smoketail, his claws slid back in, though he was still furious. "It is part of the warrior code. A warrior cannot kill others to win his battles. Curseflight has done exactly that, and now I have two witnesses on my side." he mewed strongly, a stern face upon his head.

[Cheesles]

"But," Fernbreeze mewed silencing Badgerclaw and giving him a menacing glare she turned to him. "You should never have attacked Curseflight or given any respect to that rogue. Was she a clan cat, a relative of some sort? or even a friend?" She hissed at him. "I think not. You were being too friendly with that outcast. Like Curseflight said that rogue was hunting our food and had betrayed her clan, she deserved no respect from any clan cat," Fernbreeze mewed angrily turning back towards Cureflight, "and yet she still did not deserve to be killed." She mewed.

[Naruto]

Smoketail frowned. Being deputy is complicated... Once again he wished to be a regular warrior...sleeping in the outer circle of the den (Though he didn't miss that much), and just following orders. But now he was making orders. He sighed. "I agree with Fernbreeze. For now, since you have both disobeyed the warrior code, you will be on apprentice duties for the next moon."

[Cheesles]

Fernbreeze nodded to the deputy. "I am glad I could be of some use." She mewed.

[Goldenstorm]

"What? She kills a cat and gets a moon of apprentice duties? Are we trying to encourage cats to kill one another?" Badgerclaw was outraged. He hated murders, ever since his mother, Clayshard, had been killed by Nightstar. That is why he felt he had to make that rogue, though he said warrior, feel better about herself and try and reassure her. Now, he was standing right next to a murderer and she was getting a sentence so light it could be used for a cat who had wandered onto enemy territory.

[Cheesles]

"Yes and you reacted in a bad way." Fernbreeze mewed. "You attacked a cat from your own clan."

[Naruto]

"Yes. I will bury this cat and go back to the Clan in a moment. But first...." He drew a line with his paw in the dirt. "Badgerclaw, I agree that what she did was wrong. But I can do nothing more severe than what I have alread. She was doing what she thought she was supposed to for her Clan. And then you attacked her. You both have that punishment for now, and I'm telling you both-no, ordering you both, to keep quiet about this. We do not need war amongst our Clan, when it is already weakened from the attack by DarkClan."

Smoketail blinked. He mainly wanted them both to stay quiet because the cats of WindClan might have varied opinions and try to attack either one or the other. Curseflight would most likely be killed by her own Clanmates if the word got out, and Badgerclaw would be ridiculed for being non-WindClan born and attacking a Clanmate.

[Cheesles]

After most of the cats had gone he padded over to Smoketail.
"You were the cat I talked to the other day weren't you?" She asked.

[Mosspaw]

"I do not see your reasoning for this, Smoketail, look at this cat." Mosspaw pointed his nose at the body of the rogue, bone sticking out of the flesh "Does that look like Curseflight was really trying to chase this cat out of our territory, or are these the wounds that we make on our prey? I respect your word, but I will never accept Curseflight as a clanmate." He felt the fur on his shoulders prickle, but he let it lie flat. He left the clearing, not heading back to the clan, but for the river, he wanted to be anywhere but a clan with a traitor in it right now.

Bladgerclaw sliced his paws through the air and sent out an infuriated hiss. Apprentice Duties! He snarled in his thoughts. He had to let himself settle, though he didn't imagine he could. He stalked away, going for the WolfClan-WindClan border. Maybe he'd get lucky and see the same wolf that helped him travel from his home, FireClan, to WindClan.

Smoketail sighed. "I am not the leader of this Clan. I cannot exile this she-cat. I can do no more than I have already."he mewed tiredly, looking down. He wanted to do more for his Clanmates, instead of bringing conflict about them.

"Yes."he replied to Fernbreeze, not looking up.

"Oh I'd like so say sorry, I was, a bit rude." Fernbreeze mewed shuffling her paws.

[Naruto]

Smoketail looked up. "No, it's fine. I'm used to it by now. Not many cats like that I'm deputy,"he said flatly.

[Cheesles]

"I don't mind as long as it is someone responsible, like you." Fernbreeze mewed shyly.

[Naruto]

"Oh, thanks."Smoketail mewed, standing up.

[Cheesles]

"Ah wait!" Fernbreeze mewed standing suddenly, "Ah maybe we could go hunting sometime?" She asked.

[Naruto]

"Sure."Smoketail meowed, looking at her fondly.
