"Eat it Furball." Barkfur teased. She poked her egg with a claw and the shell broke off like a plastic cover. Inside, the yolk was frozen. "Never tried it this way." Barkfur reached down and licked it. "Try it! It's really good!"

Thistlefur looked down at the egg and gave it a lick. "Not exactly my taste, but not unpleasant."

Barkfur looked at her mate with her jaws dropped. "How do you not like eggs?" she asked, her mew full of surprise.

Barkfur gave an unpleasant face, yet she smiled. "Don't remind me." she laughed back at him. She looked around, the sun was sinking. "I should go." she quickly mewed. "Meet me here again in two suns." she gave one last look at him and climbed down the tree, landing gracefully. She quickly stepped her way back to camp, though she wanted to stay with him.
