A grey tom appeared out of the bushes, scenting the air. Quick as a flash, he climbed up a tree and sat, watching below. Earlier he had rolled in a dead fox he had found to mask his scent. Thistlefur's plan semed perfect.

ooc: did Thistlefur return to tc or something? that a little confusing.

Barkfur was patroling, again. Boredom seemed to be where ever she went, and with Frostheart, Fellmoon, and Silverstar on her tail, she couldn't visit Thistlefur. She picked up the scent of dead fox, I should check it out, Silverstar will want to know of it. She raced ahead to where the heart of the scent lay and looked around. Where is it?

[Wolvine]

Thistlefur looked down, tingling with exitement as he saw the she-cat. "Psst! Barkfur up here!" He called softly, hoping she would hear him.

[Goldenstorm]

Barkfur jumped as she looked up and saw Thistlefur. "Thistlefur!" she gasped quietly. She jumped into the tree, climbing up to his limb. "You stink." she purred.

[Wolvine]

"Sorry! If I came without fox on me then that cat would recognize my scent." Thistlefur purred, pressing his head against hers.

[Goldenstorm]

"I'm just messing with you." Barkfur pressed her head into Thistlefur's shoulder. She backed away, "There's some news I couldn't tell you the last time..."

[Wolvine]

"What is it Barkfur?" Thistlefur whispered, love plain in his amber eyes.

Barkfur looked back in his amber eyes, her soft, gold eyes on his. "I'm expecting kits." she mewed, almost a whisper.

"Really?" Thistlefur's eyes widened, purring.

[Goldenstorm]

Barkfur nodded her head, happy Thistlefur was content with having kin of his own. "I'm not sure how many, but I know I'm expecting." she purred back.

[Wolvine]

Thistlefur licked Barkfur's head, purring contentedly. "Shame I won't be able to see them grow up though..."

[Goldenstorm]

Barkfur thought. There must be a way he'll be able to see them. "I'll have them in the set." she meowed sternly, determination biting at her. "That way, you'll be able to see them, and help me name them. Then, I'll bring them there every moon, you can check up on them."

[Wolvine]

"No. It's too risky. It's best if they grow not knowing their father, that way they won't be able to spill the beans." Thistlefur meowed, though it broke his heart.

[Goldenstorm]

"I'll make them promise. I'll let you see them when they're kits, we'll name them, and I'll tell them when they're warriors." Barkfur promised. She wanted Thistlefur to see them more than anyone.

[Wolvine]

"Of course." Thistlefur touched her nose. "But what about your clan mates? What will happen if and of them find out?"

[Goldenstorm]

Barkfur looked into Thistlefur's eyes. "I don't know, but I'll make sure no cat will ever know, no one except us and the kits." she promised, she rubbed her head on under his chin.

[Wolvine]

Thistlefur purred yet again. "What about that other cat? If he finds me in here then he'll know somethings up."

[Goldenstorm]

"No need to worry about Fellmoon. I'll just tell him I was at the creek. I'm going to need to wash this fox scent off of me anyway. You'll sneak off without him knowing and we could meet again some other time." Barkfur suggested, her smile ear to ear.

[Wolvine]

"Yeah. Guess so." Thistlefur licked his mate's ear.

Barkfur purred, she turned and licked Thistlefur's cheek. It was warm and soft. She saw that they were near a nest, it was strange because birds did not lay their eggs until winter. Never the less, Barkfur took the two eggs in there and gave one to Thistlefur. "Here, try it." she prodded it to him, not dropping it over the limb.

"What am I ment to do with this?" Thistlefur asked, staring at the egg blankly.
