Ferretflight sit under the cave, gazing out into the territory. Snow covered everything. It looked beautiful, but was the harshest thing she's ever been through. It was like a rose.

[Naruto]

"Beautiful,isn't it?"Shadefall mewed,padding out behind Ferretflight,a shrew in his jaws. He set it down beside her. "Wanna share?"

[Goldenstorm]

Ferretflight was somewhat startled when Shadefall sat beside her. "Um...yes. It is. Sure, I haven't eaten today. You can have first bite."

[Naruto]

"Thanks. I'm starved."Shadefall purred,crouching to take a small bite. "Your turn."

Ferretflight purred back as she took an even smaller bite out of the shrew. She managed to swallow and leaned lightly against Shadefall.

[Naruto]

Shadefall purred again before taking another bite. "You can have the rest."he said,pushing the shrew towards Ferretflight with a shy smile.

Ferretflight decided she wasn't hungry. She clawed to her side. "I'll save it for later. I'm not hungry anymore." she mewed, slightly embarrased.

[Naruto]

"It's fine."Shadefall assured her,smiling gently. His gray eyes moved out to the white scenery before him. "The snow is beautiful but deadly;just as you are."he said,a little bit embarrassed.

Ferretflight let out a mrrow of laughter. "I bet I could beat you." she gently padded Shadefall's shoulder with her paw.

[Naruto]

"Oh yeah? Wanna bet?"Shadefall mewed back,just as playful. "Wait,at what?"

Ferretflight stood and walked around Shadefall, letting her tail trail on his back. "Everything." she smiled.

[Naruto]

Grinning,Shadefall leaped to his paws. "Nope! I'll beat you at everything!"

[Goldenstorm]

Ferretflight flashed over to a circle in the main clearing. "Try me." she challenged with a playful grin.

[Naruto]

Shadefall bounded after her,crouching with a smile on his face. "Bring it!"

[Goldenstorm]

"You asked for it!" Ferretflight darted from side to side, first going after his left side then his right. At the last moment Ferretflight aimed to charge into Shadefall. Then she bounded her short legs up to leap gracefully onto his back. She wasn't sure of her aim.

[Naruto]

Shadefall hissed playfully,leaping out of the way and digging into the dirt with his back paws to fling himself at Ferretflight and hopefully knock her down.

[Goldenstorm]

Ferretflight could feel the wind knocked out of her lungs as Shadefall pinned her. "You win." she breathed.

[Naruto]

Shadefall grinned. "See. I'm so stronger than you. Bet I'm faster too!"he boasted,stepping away from the she-cat to let her up. His eyes gleamed,and he waved his tail excited.

[Goldenstorm]

Ferretflight leaped up beside him. "I guess, I was just being easy on you." she nudged him.

[Naruto]

Shadefall laughed. "I coulda beat you with one paw tied behind my back!"

[Goldenstorm]

Ferretflight yawned deeply. "Keep dreaming Shadefall. I'm going to take a rest. It's been a long day for me and my new apprentice. You can come if you like." she slowly padded away into her sandy nest and fell asleep.

[Naruto]

Shadefall followed after Ferretflight,curling up in a nest beside her's and falling asleep.

Ferretflight fell asleep warm and purring. She finally knew what she felt towards Shadefall, she'd fallen in love.

MINOR TIME SKIP

Shadefall woke,yawning. He moved from beside Ferretflight,careful not to wake her,and went to stand outside the den,his head swimming from the night before.

[Goldenstorm]

Ferretflight stretched, feeling the warmth move from beside her. She opened her eyes to see Shadefall moving around in the den. "Hey Shadefall." she murmured.
