Training what a chore...

Rain fell from the sky, making everything damp. Bengalbelly's brown fur
was darkened now, making the stripes on his body and on his head barely
visible. His green eyes were narrowed, making him look angry and
threatening, not saying he wasn't angry. The right words may have
been... slightly irritated.

Bengalbelly came to a stop and spun around to face his apprentice, Heatherpaw. "Okay, I'm going to give you a choice today. Do you want to learn how to hunt, or fight?"

[Naruto]

"Fight,of course. I wanna be able to hurt other Clan cats,like Maplepaw."Heatherpaw replied.

[Member]

"You want to hurt your own clanmates?" Bengalbelly tilted his head. Wow. He shook his head then. "It doesn't matter. You probably meant something else.. maybe." Bengalbelly grunted before swiping at Heatherpaw's head with a sheathed paw.

[Naruto]

Heatherpaw squeaked as the paw caught her head,and she retaliated by swiping upwards with a sheathed paw.

Bengalbelly dodged Heatherpaw's swipe and jumped to the side of her. He tried to ram himself into her so he could knock her over. After that he could finish it if Heatherpaw didn't react quickly enough.

Heatherpaw could almost see Bengalbelly's paw coming,so she ducked and lashed out with both her front paws and bit down on whatever was close enough.

Bengalbelly tripped over Heatherpaw when she ducked down, but quickly found his footing. He felt a pain in his tail and looked back to see Heatherpaw biting down on it. Bengalbelly pulled it from her jaws and flipped and around and swiped at her side.

"Is this really all you can do!" Bengalbelly growled. "Maybe I was right from the start."

Feeling anger sweep through her,Heatherpaw threw all her strength into a swipe aimed at her mentor's paws. She huffed as his paw caught her side,and her eyes blazed as she leaped,flipping over to kick with her strong back legs.

Bengalbelly jumped back at Heatherpaw's swipe at his paws. He felt her hind legs make contact with his face. He step back and shook his head, letting out a grunt before looking back at her with narrowed eyes.

"That's what you can muster up? An elder on his way to NightClan could have done better than that."

[Naruto]

Heatherpaw snarled angrily,warmth flooding into her frozen limbs. "RRRRRAAHH!"she spat,batting at Bengalbelly's head and simultaniously at his paws. When he fell,she would be ready to rip his belly to shreds.

Bengalbelly growled as his head was being furiously batted at. He couldn't see at all, all he knew was that his head was getting hit and his paws. He was starting to loose his balance, if he didn't do something now he would fall over. Quickly, Bengalbelly pushed forward and swiped his paw at Heatherpaw's stomach. This move should unbalance her, after that he could get her.

[Naruto]

Heatherpaw hissed,and fell awkwardly to the side. She rolled over,to protect her belly,exposing her back.

Bengalbelly Placed his paw on Hetherpaw's back. He pressed down on her so she wouldn't be able to get from under him so easily. Not that she could anyways, he was much stronger than her at the moment.

He bent his head down next to her ear. "Don't let your enemy get in you head," he whispered before stepping off of her. "Training is over," he turned and started padding off to camp. He stopped after a few steps and looked back at her. He then added, "Get some sleep and practice on calming yourself, you won't win any battles if you get angry and attack blindly like that. You're a good fighter, but if you get like that over a few insults you'll get nowhere." Bengalbelly continued on his way to camp, his ears pricked, ready just in case Heatherpaw decided to do some sort of surprise attack even if he said the training was over.

Heatherpaw gasped,and glared after her mentor. He's right,though,she thought angrily,her tail lashing. Her limbs felt like stone,and she dragged herself back to camp,exhausted. "I'll meet you at sunhigh if you want more training,she said,yawning loudly. She ducked into the apprentices den before he could object,for some sleep.
