Training again..

[Wolvine]

Deathpaw licked his lips, savouring the fish's blood. He examined his claws, one of which had peirced a scale. He watched it sparkle for a moment, then rose to his feet, a bone still clamped between his jaws. He began to look around, searching for an apprentice, preferably Batpaw, or even better his mentor, Arcticsplash.

[Naruto]

A loud yawn echoed around the empty clearing as a huge black cat waltzed out of the apprentice den, stretched, and padded over to the fresh kill pile. The tom spotted Deathpaw near it with... a bone in his mouth? Really. These mentors need to do something better than teach these idiots how to be barbarians.he thought, giving the pile of prey a curious sniff.

Finding nothing interesting, he padded past Deathpaw, looking like he was heading out to the forest. When, in actuality, he was just gonna sit in the middle of the clearing and think. His favorite past time.

[Wolvine]

"Batpaw." Deathpaw growled through the bone. "Train with me would you? Tigerpaw is too wimpy and thinks I'm an idiot for not falling into her pathetic trick. I'm sure you'll be more of a challenge."

[Naruto]

Batpaw looked at Deathpaw, bored. "Why should I train with you?" Then he thought about it. Meh. It would pass the time quicker. But he wanted to hear the tom's reasons for asking first. Then he'd decide. I mean, he didn't really care but... EH!

[Wolvine]

"To get stronger and to get my revenge." Deathpaw meowed simply. After their discussion, he hoped that Batpaw would think that he simply wanted to challenge Shadowclaw.

[Naruto]

"Meh. Fine."he said in an uncaring voice. "I don't care about your petty reasons. Where do you want to train?" He cast a golden-eyed scowl in Deathpaw's direction. This. Was. Tiresome. And. Troubling. I mean seriously! Why couldn't this idiotic cat go find his mentor to play with? Why must all of the younger cats bother him?

[Wolvine]

"Didn't I just tell you? No matter what it takes, I must get stronger. I'd even slit a Starclan cat's throat if it ment getting at them..." The troubled young cat gave an angry hiss, watching Batpaw with undisguised loathing.

[Naruto]

"Yeah yeah. I didn't ask why you wanted to train. I asked where." He didn't even care that his Clanmates was practically glaring at him. I mean, Batpaw was at least six moons older than Deathpaw by now. He was supposed to be a warrior. But the leader wouldn't get off her butt and do any ceremonies! Honestly, he didn't care about his position. Yeah, you know that foolish dream that all the kits have at one point in their lives to be "The best warrior in the forest"? He'd long since abandoned that idiotic notion. It was just stupid ambition and lies. And the warriors always told you to try your best to fulfill your dreams.

So what? Even if you try your absolute best, you will never reach that dream. You know why? That's the way this world worked. If you can't realize that and still insist on making idiotic promises to do something or have a dream, all your gonna do is hurt yourself. I say suck it up and deal with it. "If your gonna vent like this every time you misunderstand something, then you need to leave me alone. I have no desire to train you and the only reason I said yes was because I'm feeling generous today."he snapped, narrowing his eyes.

This was irritating him to no end. But whatever. Deathpaw had his reasons for wanting to train just as Batpaw had his reasons for everything he did.

Deathpaw shrugged and rose to his feet, flexing each claw, before giving a sigh and shealthing them. It was a shame. ANother day prehaps. "Up."

[Naruto]

Batpaw snorted. "Fine." He turned away, eyes already distant with memories. Like the day when his sisters and he had gone out of camp to catch some prey for their ailing mother. And the day that he got sick off the herbs in the medicine den and had to stay in the nursery for a quarter-moon. Good memories. But they were nothing but that. Just images of the past that brought either pain or happiness.

It was never both. He couldn't fathom why. But he knew this; the memories that brought him the most pain were those of which he had awoken to find his beloved sisters dead. And his mother. At the time, he had cried for his loss and questioned how StarClan could be so cruel as to take everything away from him, all at once. He still didn't know the answer.

[Wolvine]

Deathpaw began to circle Batpaw, looking for a weak spot to lunge at, tense incase the apprentice lunged first. His eyes narrowed as he remembered the pain he had felt through the moons, how he had kept going all that time, just to have his heart broken by that stupid she-cat.

[Naruto]

Batpaw stood, towering over the younger cat. "I know I'm not your mentor but if your opponent's bigger than you you should probably attack first."he said in a monotone, twitching his tail.

[Wolvine]

Deathpaw gave a grunt. "Fine." He turned and stood tense for a moment, then suddenly leaping silently toawrds Batpaw.

[Naruto]

Batpaw felt paws strike his shoulders, and, formulating a quick strategy in his head, reached over to grab one of Deathpaw's paws in his jaws. While he was distracting him with his head, he moved his paws to bring them up into the soft flesh of his belly, claws sheathed.

[Wolvine]

Deathpaw gave a yowl as teeth clamped around his paw, put wasn't distracted. He darted to one side, then aimed a ram at Batpaw's legs, hoping to overbalance him.

[Naruto]

Batpaw tumbled to one side by the unexpected attack, his teeth still holding Deathpaw's paw firmly. He yanked upward;in a serious fight this could dislocate an opponent's shoulder/paw and cause them to be incapacitated. Or slowed. Meh.

[Wolvine]

Deathpaw hissed, feeling pain seep through his shoulder. Amazing. Good thing this isn't a real fight... He growled, suddenly having an idea. He lurched forwards, aiming for Batpaw's throat. He wouldn't be able to defend himself unless he let go of his paw, allowing him to move freely again.

[Naruto]

Batpaw saw the tabby lunge for his throat, and let go of his paw, using his own front paws to skid backwards. Then he kicked out with his hind paws, aiming for the lurching apprentice's face.

[Wolvine]

Deathpaw came to a halt, and raised his own paws in defence. Then he fell flat against the floor, crawled over till he was practically under Batpaw and lurged up, hoping to strike his chin. His shoulkder was making him slower, and a little more clumsy. He was a disadvantage.

[Naruto]

Batpaw leaped backwards, feeling a paw slide past his whiskers. Then he whirled, swiping out with a huge paw to cuff Deathpaw's face/ears.

OOC:I just noticed. This is the first time I've ever RPed a fight with BP. He's pretty good. XD

Now... annoying Spotpaw, or good ol' Lonepaw?

Lonepaw eyes widened when he looked over at Batpaw and Deathpaw. What were they doing!? Fighting!? Why!? Where they in their little disputes again or something!? The orange furred cat quickly padded over to them, trying to figure out just exactly what was going on. He stopped a tail-length or two from the, looking between the two.

"What are you guys doing!?" Lonepaw exclaimed. He'd totally jump in and try to pull it apart but.... c'mon, Batpaw was huge!

[Naruto]

"Training,"Batpaw growled, leaping away from the fray.

"Oh." Well, his thought was... outrageous now that he thought about it. "Well, you two looked like you were in a real fight 'er something." He twitch an ear as he made a quick though, forgetting to ad what he was going to say next. Something about... er... yes! "How come you two aren't doing that in the training hollow like you're supposed to?"

Batpaw snorted. "Since when have I followed the rules?"
