Kit hunting (Nightpaw|Cloudkit)

Smallpaw burst through some trees, and she stopped. She shook out some leaves, and waited for Nightpaw to catch up... The moon was barely rising, and the sky was clear. "I wonder where Cloudkit is.."

"She probably smells a little like Graypelt." Nightpaw murmured to himself sniffing every leaf they passed and breathing in the scents of the forest, when he finally caught up with Smallpaw he had no trace of the kit. "I can't find her trail, she must have been gotten farther than where Graypelt said she was." He looked around a pure white she-kit should have been easy to find in a forest, especially in Greenleaf. He breathed in the scent again but any scent of the kit was drowned by prey scent and forest scents.

Cloudkit ran through the forest, she was chasing after a grasshopper.
"The darn thing is so fast." she murmmerd to herself while running harder and harder. Suddenly somthing sharp hit her paw, in shock she tummbled over and got a good look at her paw, a thorn was in her paw. Cloudkit wailed and wailed for somone to come and help her.

Smallpaw pricked her ears at the sound of crying. "Nightpaw! Come on!" She bounded off towards the noise. It grew louder and louder untill she was a few tail lengths away from a white kit. "You must be Cloudkit!" She mewed, moving over to see why the Kit was crying. "A thorn! Here, let me get that!" Smallpaw studied the thorn for a moment, the grasped it in her teeth. She pulled, sliding the thorn out easily. "Are you okay?" She mewed, spitting the thorn out.

Nightpaw instantly unsheathed his claws as a reflex to any call or scream, as he raced out of the forest and into a clearing where a white kit was sitting. Nightpaw sighed, he thought they would have a little time to fight to save this kit, but just a thorn wasn't exciting. "I'll carry her." mewed Nightpaw, the black warrior padded in front of the medium-sized kit and bit into her scruff hauling her up. "She's just like Graypelt described her."

"Hey what are you doing with me? How do you know Graypelt, He is my friend." meowed Cloudkit, she wonderd who these strange cats were, thinking for a moment, she relized that they must be Clan cats like Graypelt.
"What are your names?" she asked.

Smallpaw chuckled. "I'm Smallpaw, and this is Nightpaw." She mewed. She trotted along Nightpaw's side the whole time back to camp.
