Wandering Kit

Swan stumbled through the forest, scratches covered her body and every one of her ribs showed underneath her silver pelt. She panted heavily from exhaustion. Her home was days of travel away and Swan had only caught two mice the whole journey. Swan was a young kitty-pet that was forced to run away from her home because of abuse from her owner. She sniffed the air and hope filled her eyes as she scented cats. She ran swiftly toward the scent and suddenly found herself running straight into the middle of a camp. Her grey eyes grew wide as she noticed how many cats there were around her and how big they looked compared to her. She crouched low, her lean but strong muscules flexed underneath her as she prepared to protect herself.

ooc: Swan is a kit, but had just turned six moons, so she can be an apprentice.

NightFire scented the kit another kit? a loner? she sniffed again no,its a kittypet NightFire searched for the kit,she finally found her
this one looks worse than the other one,I better fetch NightLeaf
"Hi my name is NightFire,im a Thunderclan warrior, you dont look well....I will fetch our medicine cat....please stay here" NightFire mewed and ran to fetch NightLeaf

Nightleaf ran towards the kit."Hold on I need to get some herbs."He ran back into the medicine cat den.After a few minutes he showed up with some juniper berries,cobwebs,marigold and poppy seeds.Without saying a word he started using the herbs.After he finished he told the kit to eat the poppy seeds and sleep in the medicine cat den.

Swanpaw backed up, fur standing up on end. "Why should I trust you? You could be feeding me poison like my owner tried to do!" Behind her guarded eyes, gratitdue shone brightly.

NightFire gasped, " it tried to kill you???" she mewed,really surprised but she couldnt think on the kittypets accusations

Swan looked at her curiously. " Shouldn't clan cats be used to hearing that? I know that clans never trusted trusted twolegs." She had heard alot of rumours about the clans.

"its true that we dont trust twolegs,still, its the first time Ive ever heard that a twoleg tried to kill its own kittypet....but....how do you feel what did it did to you?" NightFire answered,still very surprised

Swan's eyes became guarded again. " Before I answer your questions and feel safe near you, can you answer one question for me?" She asked. "Does this clan hurt or hate kittypets?" She asked, slightly frightened of the answer.

NightFire searched for the right words "Whitestar is a good leader and he wouldnt hurt any cat unless it is a threat for the clan, still, some cats dont feel comfortable with kittypets, but they wont hurt them" when she finished she hope she was right.

Swan easily saw the small doubt in Nightfire's eyes, but she decided to trust her. "Ok." She sighed and looked at Nightfire. " My twoleg was not... right... to say in a nice way. He abused me and tried to kill me a few time times from bats to poisons in my food. It all started a moon ago when the female twoleg died...'' Pain filled her eyes as she recalled her love and care for the female twoleg. She quickly shook herself. "I think he was angry with himself... he had to take it out on someone..."

Swan looked around her, captivated by the forest's beauty. "Nightfire, I do not wish to go back to my owner, but would your leader honestly allow a KITTYPET into her clan? I would love to join if... I would be... accepted..." She winced as her wounds stung sharply.

NightFire remembered Lillykit, Whitestar had let her join the clan even if she was a loner..." im sure WhiteStar will let you join the clan, and the rest of the clan will learn to like you, if you show loyalty to Thunderclan, a warrior doesnt need to be clanborn to be strong and loyal" she mewed "by the way,whats your name?"

Swan eyes glittered with happiness and hope. "Thank you for those kind words." At the moment, she was actin way older than her age. "My name's Swan. I got that name because of my one white paw, even though im silver everywhere else."

NightFire presented she was 6 moons old,, and she really liked Swan, so if WhiteStar let her join the clan,she hoped she could be her mentor

ooc: my keyboard stopped working so i didnt get to finish my last post. sorry for double posting, but im just gonna finish it.

"Tell me your name." Swan said softly. She winced again and sat down to lick her fur, realising that there was a huge wound on her stomach and blood was pouring from it. She looked blushed, but then shrugged. "Its ok, this wound is nothing. Im used to stuff like this by now." She looked at Nightfire's shocked and sighed. "Ill go to the med den. Tell me your name if you visit me there." She ran off to the med den, leaving a trail of blood. She looked back at the trail of blood and muttered, "Stupid bat,' under her breath. She entered the med den.

ooc: Sorry I just noticed it's under Swan's breath. How would Snowfur be able to hear it?

Snowfur walks into the clearing. She sees the new cat. She starts to growl. Then, she realizes that Nightfire is treating the cat like a visitor. She stops growling and takes this chance to make friends. She runs up to cat, then slows pace and helps her to the med den. "Who are you? You're bleeding heavily. Let me help you," Snowfur offers.
