Foxtalon stood in the clearing. Those DarkClan cats were leaving, though, there wasn't a clear reason why. They weren't run down by their strength and forces, he knew that, only a fool could think that. But what was it? Was Nightstar scared away by his brother's size? Probably not, then what?

He should be glad they just left, but the question bugged him and tugged at his fur. What... are... the reasons?

A heart shattering shriek broke the quiet of the end of the battle. Blindly a small light brown tom struggled out of the nursery, with two huge ears that flopped at his chest. Tears streamed down the small kits face, even for a currently mute, and blind kit, he knew something was wrong, the scent of DarkClan was in the Nursery and the warmth of his sister's pelt was gone. The smell of blood and death was everywhere and it frightened the youngster.

The small blue kit waddled after her older brother, Cobrakit. Azurekit wailed in chorus with her brother, the scent of her sister, Celestialkit had vanished. Gone. Halostep would be so mad, she was scared of the reaction her mother would give off. But this was her sister, gone and no where to be seen, did .... The evil Clan that Halostep talked about once take her? Or was this just a bad dream that her mothers gentle touch could fix?

Silverfeather leapt out of the shadows. She was three moons pregnant and she didn't want to risk her kits. She bounded over to her mate and licked his cheek. "Are you ok?" She mewed desperatly.

"Yeah thanks." Silverfang sighed and looked over at the body of Flowerpetal. "Well sort of." He blamed himself for letting the cat die. At least most of them where safe.
