"Let's go!" Spotpaw yowled to Lonepaw as he stared at her with his jade eyes. They were wide and fear and desperation filled them. He shook his head, and his eyes narrowed to their original size as he started to calm himself. He nodded to his clanmate before he dashed off. Spotpaw followed quickly behind him.

The two ran about, following the flood of cats. They looked for the entrance, but couldn't see it from all the rushing cats. Both were shoved to the side by each and every cat.

They both jumped when a loud howl shot through the air. Lonepaw looked around at where the sound came from, as if it were new from the mixes of thunder and yowls that rang in his ears. There he could see, lighted by the fire was a figure. Lighting struck quick, showing the image for a split second. There he could see him. Yes it was someone. It was... a wolf. And that wolf was in need of assistance.

The pure nature of Lonepaw made him go against what the instinct that yowled to him to leave.

"C'mon Lonepaw!" Spotpaw yelled to him again, more than ready to go now.
"We can't," his voice was barely audible amongst the noises around.
"We can't!? Do you have bees in your brain!?"
"Look, there's a wolf over there in need of assistance, we have to help!"
"Another will get him! We have to go right now!"
"You can go, but I'm going to help the wolf." Lonepaw ran off towards Mud without waiting for Spotpaw's reply.

"What is wrong with that cat?" Spotpaw said before running after him. What's wrong with me?

They both reached Mud, standing a little ways away from his flailing paws. "We're here to help you!" Spotpaw said to him. Lonepaw looked towards her, grateful she came.

"Now just relax so we can-," Lonepaw's words were cut off by a loud boom of thunder, making both cats jump in fright.

Silverstar gasped as she watched the clearing, seeing a wolf stuck under a large branch and, without a second thought, leaped back into the grassy area, darting around burning logs and scrambling cats. Reaching the large figure trapped beneath a near firey wood chunk, she heaved; pushing aganst the heavy peice with all her might, only managing to budge it a few inches. Her mind panicked as sparks flew from the wood. Seeing two other cats race to the bark she screeched at them, loud and booming. "NO! GO BACK TO YOUR CLANS! You mustn't hurt yourselves! I can handle it!" Silverstar whisped them away with her tail, mind screaming at her.

Wildtail bounded over as she saw fire basically engulfing a wolf, though she had no idea what she was doing, and was basically acting out of impulse skidded to a halt next to Silverstar. Though they had never had a good relationship, they would have to unite to save this young wolf. "On three we pull." she meowed turning to the silver she-cat, with determination flaring in her eyes, with a sense of urgent danger and fear also in her gaze.

Mud howled softly in pain and continued struggling,his eyes burning and closed from the heat. His energy was drained,and he stopped flailing. His panting turned to coughing as smoke closed his throat,and his breathing turned raspy. He started pushing with his back legs,to help the voices that had insisted on helping him. He quickly stopped as he shoved his foot into a flaming inferno among some caught branches. He yelped in agony,and imagined his back paw charred and black,with red running along the ground as he scraped it,trying desperately to get away.

I told him someone would get to the wolf! Spotpaw yelled in her mind. "Can you figure it out or do I have to tell you to come on again!" Spotpaw yelled to Lonepaw.

Lonepaw glanced over to her before looking back at the wolf and Silverstar. "Ar-Are you sure?" He stammered.

"Yes she's sure now let's go!" Spotpaw yelled before darting off. Lonepaw took a few steps back, still looking at Silverstar and the wolf stuck on the tree. He nodded his head and ran after Spotpaw, catching up to her soon.

Silverstar held back a hiss as Wildtail came in; she had always hated that cat. Nodding at the reply, the silver she-cat put her paws on the flaring tree. "1. 2. 3." She called, pushing with all her strength, watching as the log rolled off the wolf; then gasping at the poor thing's leg. "Are you alright?!"

The burning bark signed her pelt, but Wildtail used all her strength to move the log a fraction to free the wolf. The grass below her feet, burst into flames. "We must go on, or be burned alive." she mewed attempting to push the wolf to his feet. A full grown wolf separated from the others, in fact, where was their leader Flint, had he escaped the flames?

Mud cried slightly as flames rolled over him,and he stood shakily. "I-I..I th-think I'm-m-m ok-k-kay,"he stuttered,careful not to look at his back leg. "Thank you. Now I must find Autumn."he said her name clearly,but a concealed terror inside him must've broken out,because he nearly fainted,his heart hammering so loudly in his chest it drowned out the thundering crash of trees.

Silverstar nodded to Wildtail, flicking her tail impatiently. Her back leg stinged like a thousand needles; but she didn't mention it. Her silver fur plastered to her body, the she-cat leaped to help this wolf to his feet. "Good luck."

"Why is StarClan doing this to us." she murmured to herself, before envisioning her kits in the same position as the wolf, but already dead, before she could save them, or worse lost and alone. She closed her eyes to block out the pain, padding away from the wolf and ThunderClan leader.

"Thanks,"Mud murmured,half way gone. He limped towards the exit,wobbling. He turned his head,rasping,"Get out..you have to go quickly.."before padding off in search of his sister.

Autumn escaped the island,running full speed to WolfClan's camp. I can't think of him hurt,she thought frantically. But images still stuck behind her eyelids every time she blinked. Mud scarred for life,black fur scorched. Or even worse-dead.

Jayfang then guide his clanmates to a safe distances. "Lets go!" He said. He then started to floow his clan. I hope our camp isnt flooded or worse..... on fire.

Shadowclawsat in the pouring rain. Thunder and lightning lashed around him. Fire burned every tree and the sky was pitch black. Shadowlcaw glanced at the fleeing cats around him and then up at Shadowstar. She hadn't moved. Shadowclaw knew he had to run now or he would die. Suddenly a burnt brach fell from a tree above him. The branch was large and glwing with embers. It landed on his hips as he pulled himself to a standing position to flee. It was to late. He was traped under the flaming-hot-log-of-a-branch. He yowled in pain as the his legs gave way and the log rolled over him. The embers singed his fur. He yowled in his mind
"Starclan help me!!!!"

Moonfur was nearby and heard Shadowclaw.He moved the log enough to let Shadowclaw escape.Then he ran after his leader.

Shadowclaw yowled his thanks after the warrior but he found that he couldn't move his legs. The log had crushed a small part of bone just above his paw.

Rainpaw was still yowling for Leopardstrike,terror surging through her limbs. She noticed Shadowclaw's awkward position. She raced over,her own troubles momentarily forgotten. She made a grab at his scruff,hoping to be able to pull him away from this place.

Lonepaw and Spotpaw ran towards the entrance as fast as they could, jumping over cats bumped to the ground or fallen trees. They were getting closer to the exit, but every time they were few tail-lengths away the boom of thunder would crack in the air followed by a flash of quick lightning. It caused the cats around them to panic more, changing directions or just running faster.

As Flint recovered from his fall, he looked around. Apparently Wolfclan had already retreated back to the camp. Without hesitating, he ran in the direction he assumed the Wolfclan camp would be. There was too much smoke to tell where anything was.

Hawkfire limped with the Thunderclan warriors, trying hard not to fear the howls of terror and confusion behind him. Don't think about it. You'll make yourself go back. Don't think about it. This is all a dream. A very bad dream. I'll wake up any second now...

Mud howled in pain and fell,his injured leg sticking out behind him awkwardly. "Flint,"he rasped his leaders name with his last full breath. Then the world grew dim,and he saw darkness fringing his vision. No...But it was too late. He was too far gone. He sank with a cough into unconciousness.

Jayfang was still looking for any cats/wolves that were trapped and spotted one. He ran to Mud and pick him up with drag scruff and started to run slower now with the extra weight.

Lonepaw and Spotpaw raced around. What are we doing? Spotpaw thought, Are we just moving in circles? Spotpaw stopped herself quickly. She watched as Lonepaw ran a tail-length ahead of her before stopping himself and looked back at her.

"What are you stopping for? You yell at me to keep going and then you stop!" Lonepaw yowled to her.
"We can't keep going like this," she said back to him, "we're moving in circles!" Lonepaw looked around him. They had been running around a lot. By the looks of it they were back in the middle of the Gathering spot.

Thunder boomed loud again, and the flash of lighting showed Spotpaw's hopeless eyes and heaving flanks. Lonepaw looked from her to locate the exit. It was behind them. They were moving away from it the entire time!

"We've just ot to move in a straight path. We can't shift when the other cats do." Lonepaw nodded his head in response to what she said. He pointed his tail to behind him, showing her the entrance. Spotpaw nodded to him.

"So we know where we're going now?"
"I think so," Lonepaw replied, his voice airy.
"The c'mon!" Spotpaw shot off in the direction with Lonepaw coming right behind her. Another flash of boom of thunder came followed by a flash of light. Just as usual cats changed direction in their fear, but Lonepaw and Spotpaw kept pelting on.

Soon enough the two shot through the exit. When they got out of the burning area they both sat for a second, catching their breath. "C'mon, we have to keep going before the fires start to spread," the she-cat mewed.

"Alright."

The two dashed off again, running in the direction of their camp, hoping to find some safety their.

Mud faintly felt teeth in his scruff,felt himself being dragged. He whimpered slightly,the sound hoarse and barely audible. His throat felt dry and cracked;when he breathed,his breath rasped like sand through his throat,making him wince. He could barely open his eyes,and when he did,his eye sight was bleary and black tipped his vision. His leg hurt like it was covered in fire ants,and his traveling across rough ground wasn't helping. He tried to stand,just once,but the pain overwhelmed him and he fell limp,darkness threatening to engulf him again.
