The Chase to Freedom

Badgerpaw saw that the tom was hot on thier paws "Keep Going! Head towards FireClan!" hopefully Heatherpaw would listen. He sped up and stopped completely. He batted the tom who was almost three times his size while he ran past Badgerpaw. Badgerpaw turned around and sped rapidly towards Heatherpaw. "We have to keep moving, this won't stop until we get to FireClan." he blurted out in a yell.

Heatherpaw nodded,terrified. She suddenly wished she'd never met this tom,never even seen him in the clearing yesterday. Now mother and father will hate me,she thought,tears blurring her vision. "Follow me!"she yowled,a slightly broken tone in her voice,as she raced around brambles and leaped over obsticals.

Bengalbelly raced after the two cats. He dug his claws into the dirt with each stride, making him o faster. His speed had increased over the moons when he was younger. Now it was really coming into play.

His green eyes were a blaze with fury. How could she have done this? Bengalbelly ran faster, getting closer to them. If he couldn't get the FireClan cat, he was going to get her.

Heatherpaw panted,but didn't dare stop running. I'm a traitor...she thought in dismay. Before today,all I had ever wanted was to be the greatest warrior the forest has ever seen.

[Goldenstorm]

Badgerpaw heard her voice crackle, his voice choked. He realized what pain leaving her clan must cause. He sped up until he was leap to leap with her. "Are you sure you want to leave?" he asked, gasping.

"I have to. They'll kill me if I go back,"Heatherpaw gasped back,looking into his eyes. Sure,she was a traitor. But at least she would have a chance to live. She would have a chance,if she got away,to be a warrior and leave the past behind.

"Alright." he looked into her eyes keeping her gaze. He could smell a new scent, a familiar scent, FireClan! "Come on! Were here!" he started yowling asking for assistance, he wasn't sure if the tom was still chasing them, but he didn't want to take the chance.

Bengalbelly got closer and closer to the two cats. He got his claws ready to tear at the flesh of both cats. This was how it was now. She was a traitor to him and the rest of the clan. How this had happened he wasn't sure, but whatever it was, it didn't matter now.

[Naruto]

Heatherpaw howled for help,feeling her mentor-no former mentor gaining on them. "Keep running!"she called to Badgerpaw.

[Goldenstorm]

"I think he's stopping!" he knew that they had already crossed the border and it was more than likely that a patrol had heard their yowls.

Bengalbelly was now in good range of the too cats. He could jump for one of them and get them square on. Who to get though, that mangy FireClan cat? Or Heatherpaw? Why would he even want to get her and bring her back? She wants to leave, and as much as he wanted to tear into Badgerpaw he didn't seem like the priority anymore. He would just go for Heatherpaw.

Bengalbelly leaped for Heatherpaw, his claws outstretched. He was going to get her and drag her back to camp, then wahtever happens after that, happens.

[Naruto]

Heatherpaw yelped as claws slashed her flanks and back. "Keep going! I'll be fine!"she yowled to Badgerpaw,begging with her eyes for him to go. She could feel her blood spreading on the rain soaked ground,and could feel her legs slowing down. She couldn't go on.

Bengalbelly felt his claws dig into Heatherpaw. He growled and dug them in deeper. He wanted her to feel the pain, to suffer under his claws. He ripped them out and raked them down her back.

Heatherpaw yowled softly and whirled,her eyes full of pain and anger. She batted at Bengalbelly's head,her claws unsheathed,and kicked at his belly with her back paws.

Bengalbelly growled as Heatherpaw assaulted him. He pushed himself forward to unbalance her and swiped his paw at her feet. When she fell over she'd have a little harder time getting on her belly so quick, she'd be exposed just enough time for him to go over and get her.

Maplepaw hissed leaping out of the underbrush and landing in front of them prisoner Tom. Badgerpaw. "So... This is what Pyropaw meant, pulling on that traitors heart, and throwing her into love for you. She has no place with us, and must die, and so will you. You're just lucky that Nightstar isn't here." meowed Maplepaw, her fluffed up naturally, and pressed into a crouch her teeth bared, and tail twitching wildly. She would enjoy killing this pathetic tom.

[Naruto]

Heatherpaw hissed in pain,terror plain in her eyes. I never meant for this to happen! a tiny voice in her mind hissed. She pushed with her back legs,trying to get away. But her terror was soon erased with rage,and she curled up,snarling,so claw at Bengalbelly's head. She felt blood spatter her fur,and she kept clawing.

Bengalbelly jumped bavk. The blood on his head trickled down his face as it was washed away by the rain. He flicked his ear and rushed up to Heatherpaw about to throw in a full blown tackle. He stopped suddenly and threw his paw under her to penetrate her stomach so he could rip through her.

[Naruto]

Pain exploded through Heatherpaw as Bengalbelly's paw caught her belly. She felt all her strength fade as the blood flowed,and she coughed weakly. She looked down to see a deep gash staining her ginger fur. Her vision blurred,and she lay her head down,suddenly to tired to move. "How did this...happen..?"she rasped in confusion,her eyes reflecting the pain in her small body.

"You never listened to your mentor," Bengalbelly snarled, rage, anger, betrayal, and most of all hate filled his voice. He wanted her to just die already, but he also wanted her to suffer for an eternity under his claws. He hooked his paws deep in her stomach and pulled back towards himself, making his claws rake down her stomach.

[Naruto]

"Ahh!"Heatherpaw screeched,curling in on herself to protect her belly. Her ginger fur was splattered with bright red blood,and her vision swam as she batted feebly at him. "You think I didn't try?"she hissed,her strength gone but her temper flaring. Agony as he pulled made her scream again. "Help!"

"No, you didn't try. Instead you quit and tried to run." Bengalbelly growled when she batted at him, not at all did it hurt, she was too weak to hurt him. The action just infuriated him more, and made him want to see her in shreds. "But what you didn't know is that you can't escape your mentor, no matter how far you go."

He ripped his claws from her stomach when she curled up and he slashed at her sides and legs. He wanted her to feel every scratch and cut she got. He would make every attack slow so the pain would increase. Nothing would be quick.

A slightly bleeding and limping Nightstar trotted into the clearing, ignoring his daughter and they stopped but still trying to escape prisoner, his pelt was sleek but there was dark red streaks of blood and a gash on his head. "Well, well, what do we have here?"

[Naruto]

She glared at him,all the pain from her parent's deaths and from being rejected bright in her gaze. "How much do you think I endured?"she snapped,thrusting out with her back paws in a sudden burst of strength. Hopefully it would knock his paws from under him,and counting that she wasn't dead by then,she could be on him in an instant.

She stopped dead when she saw Nightstar,laying limp on the ground as she panted,that sudden burst of energy leaving her exhausted. She screamed again when Bengalbelly slashed her legs,and the sound pierced the air like icy claws.

"How much do you think I did? How much do you think any other cat did? You think you have the worst life! You think everyone should pity you and agree with your reasoning all because of what you went through!?" Bengalbelly winced at her sudden burst of strength when she kick him, but he kept his claws dug into her so he'd stay still. If she had another one of those stored into her she'd only be hurting herself. If she pushed him back then his claws would be pushed back and just rip into her more.

He twitched his ear when he heard Nightstar's mew, but didn't answer him. He was too angry, too focused on Heatherpaw. He didn't want to answer him anyways, he didn't want to talk to anyone at the moment. He just wanted to rip into Heatherpaw and hear her pain. Almost as if it would calm him down, but it only made him angrier and more wanting to kill her, to make her suffer.
