Heatherpaw trotted over to the others tiredly. Her fur was sticking up in all directions,and burrs were still stuck in her orange pelt. "Hey,guys,"she yawned. "What's up?"

"Nothing really," Featherpaw said as she looked back at Heatherpaw. Her ears flew up and her pelt bristled some when she looked at the apprentice. She looked absolutely horrible! Fur sticking out, a tired look, and burrs in her pelt! "Are you okay, Heatherpaw? You look terrible!"

"I'm fine."another yawn."Bengalbelly had me training." She shrugged as though she didn't look like she'd fallen in the river. "It's not as bad as it will be tomorrow. I have another training session at sunhigh."

"Well, whatever he was training you to do he could at least have thought about not ripping your fur off in those brambles." Ugh, Bengalbelly, that cat. He was such a grump. He was always angry and irritated about SOMETHING. Just yesterday she tried to have a conversation with that cat... well, it didn't end well. "With the way you look, I wouldn't advise it. You look so tired you'll sleep right through the next two Gatherings!"

Featherpaw twitched an ear when Badgerpaw began to speak. She turned her head to him and growled a bit before looking back to Heatherpaw.

"It feels like I've been wrestling with a tiger,"Heatherpaw mumbled,her tail twitching. She turned her hazel eyes on Badgerpaw. "Why are you worried?" She turned again,a little startled,to Featherpaw. "Well,I want to be the best warrior I can be. I figure Bengalbelly's helping me acheive that,no matter how hard he trains me."she shrugged. "I wish you guys could train with me."

"Not even the best warrior can operate if he's so tired he can barely think." Featherpaw brought herself to a sitting position and sighed. "I wish I could train with you all too, but as a medicine cat apprentice I must learn and train without you all." The only apprentices she could come close to training with were the medicine cats from the other clans, but that was just it, they were from other clans!

"You should have your medicine cat look at that pelt of yours. It looks like you have a gash running down your flank." Goldenpaw flicked his tail, pointing to the cut on the she-cat. "Afterward you should talk to your leader about your mentor, that's just me." he said looking down at his paws, he felt a little embarrased, he had no right to talk at the moment. "Nevermind, I have no right to speak here. I'm a prisoner for StarClan's sake. Sorry." then he made his sorrow vanish and he layed down into a curled ball. Hopefully he was making allys in this 'clan'.

Featherpaw looked at Heatherpaw's flank, she couldn't see anything from where she was sitting. She looked quickly to Badgerpaw, growling. "No, you don't have any say in this, so be quiet you stupid cat!" Featherpaw was calm all the while. This cat seemed to be the nosy type so far.

Heatherpaw grunted. "Did you not listen earlier? I'm stuck with him,and he's stuck with me. Oh,and that's just a scratch."she said,nodding sleepily to the gash on her flank. "And I don't need any herbs. Save them for a cat that needs them. I'll be fine."

She sat down,her eyes bright. "Maybe Bengalbelly will let us train with you,"she murmured,motioning to Pyropaw and Maplepaw. "He was only trying to help,"she growled at Featherpaw,shocked to hear herself say it. She held her tongue and glared at the ground,embarrassed.

Badgerpaw sat up, his fur bristling with fury " You have NO right to be bossing me around. Your just an overgrown piece of crowfood. If you were a real medicine cat, you would have clearly seen that gash running up that she-cat's left flank. Your no better than a newborn kit." He grunted then layed back down. He figured this the way he was supposed to be treated, but he felt strongly about this 'Heatherpaw' she seemed so trying, yet she got no where. He wished he could help.

"Let me check it anyways," Featherpaw mewed, you could never be too sure. She stood up and padded over to Heatherpaw and looked at the cut. It didn't look bad. "Probably just got it caught on some brambled and cut yourself. It doesn't need any herbs, but clean it real good so it'll stay that way." Featherpaw didn't want her to up and get an infection. This rain was enough to get the whole clan sick, and infection would just make it worse.

She looked at Heatherpaw with calm eyes when she snapped at her. If she had one, she'd raise an eyebrow right now. "Heatherpaw, charming as this cat may be, don't go off and start making friends. He's still a prisoner."

Featherpaw looked to Badgerpaw, unfased. She just tilted her head. "As I said before, it's not a serious cut. And why do you care so much?"

"Is it any of your business?" Badgerpaw replied sharply, he could not he was being treated like this by a medicine cat. He could understand harsh words from any other cat.

"You're fine," Featherpaw gave Heatherpaw a reassuring flick of the tail on her shoulder, "it was a simple mistake." She looked back to Badgerpaw and lay back down. "Yeah... it kind of is." She answered back. She was he clanmate, she was a medicine cat apprentice, ti was... kind of sort of her business. Just about six percent.

Heatherpaw opened her mouth to protest,then shut it again,thinking otherwise. Heatherpaw would have to pay Badgerpaw a visit later to see his motives. Why would he try to protect me..?

Badgerpaw looked at Heatherpaw leaving the den, then looked at the medicine cat. He opened his mouth as if he was going to say something. "Well... uh.. Oh, nothing." he curled himself back into a ball of misery and sorrow, with his head on his paws and his tail neatly over his nose.

Featherpaw lazily rolled to her side. Bored, bored. She needed something to do, and Ripplesong seemed to be taking a break from her training. There didn't seem to be anything to do, but collect herbs. The only thing that had her do something was talking to the prisoner, but what fun was that if he was so snappy?

"See you, tomorrow," Featherpaw mewed as she watched her friend leave.

This time he was sure that the she-cat was gone. "How can I even trust you? I don't even know you." Badgerpaw said. His face still expresed sorrow and pain, but his eyes narrowed and showed anger and distrust.

"Who said anything about trusting me?" Featherpaw would tilt her head if it wasn't laying flat on the wet ground. Her side was going to be all muddy now, oh well, the rain would wash it off. "Anyways, I don't know you either, just that your name is Badgerpaw and you care about the well being about the cats of a clan that's keeping you prisoner."

Featherpaw grunted. "I'll know more soon enough," Featherpaw got up from her laying position, letting the rain clean hr pelt, "we all will." Well, it was late. Featherpaw was wide awake, but she had nothing to do, she might as well just sleep the night away. "Well, goodnight Maplepaw, Pyropaw. I'm going to see if I can get any sleep." She padded away from the area, heading for her nest in the medicine cat den to try and rest.

Badgerpaw let a out a loud and heavy yowl of fury. These cats were messing with the wrong apprentice. He would show that leader of theirs, right in front of his eyes. He could kill that medicine apprentice they had. If the apprentice is like that, how bad is the medicine cat? He pondered about it, then he layed down into a sloppy bundle of fur. He closed his eyes, but did not plan on falling asleep. He was too busy falling in love.
