A Bored Old Warrior

The old senior warrior padded into Silverstar's den. The golden tabby let out a small call for Silverstar.
"Silverstar? Silverstar, it's me, Flashfire. I've been thinking, the stormclouds look like they're going to rain any moment, would you like me to gather any supplies, stock up the fresh kill pile? Anything? I've just been sleeping my fur off, and Raventail said a respectable warrior thinks of his clan first, and frankly, I think Raventail's right. Do you need help with anything? I'd be glad to do it, it'll keep away that little voice in my head that shrieks, 'You've been sleeping your fur off, go help the clan, or you won't be a proud warrior anymore.' " Flashfire cried. He lowered his head. He wanted a mate, he would be retiring to the elders den in a few moons, maybe in seven moons. He wanted to do all he could to help the clan in the time he had left as a warrior.
