Training- Shadowpaw and Stormcloud ONLY

[De Awesome Raven]

The dark stormclouds that covered the sky worried Shadowpaw, but she wasn't going to ruin her training session. She waited patiently for Stormcloud to come. The dark, hazy sky rumbled, on and off, on and off. The butterflies no longer frolicked, they were hiding in the hollows of the trees, terrified of the stormclouds. Shadowpaw's dark fur glistened as a moment of sun shone on her. She was growing impatient. She leaped off of the rock she had been standing on. With her ears pricked forward, she heard a moment where a leaf crackled under the weight of a rabbit, and she dropped into a crouch, silently, swiftly. She put her paw forward, then again, and again, until she had the rabbit in the corner of her eye. With a vicious growl, she leaped onto the rabbit, and let it squeal in pain momentarily, before quickly leaning down and giving a quick, swift bite to the neck. The rabbit froze, did a shudder, and died. She shook it to make sure it was dead, and started to eat it.

ooc- gosh. I always forget about your posts. xD Sorry 'bout that. I fail.

Stormcloud glared through the bushes at Shadowpaw, her apprentice. Although the she-cat was unbelieveably stubborn, she did have to admint, the cat showed promise. Grey fur ruffling in the somewhat windy air, Stormcloud padded into the clearing, watching the selfish cat eat the prey. "You should save that for kits, queens, or elders; but I really don't care." Her monotone voice echoed throughout the clearing. Her voice lowered to a growl. "Keep your voice down when hunting; that would have scared off any creature in the area." Stormcloud leaped into the middle, staring at her intently. She was new ... and this would probably be quite boring; she enjoyed playing roughly. "Battle training. Show me your best swipe. Try it on me."

ooc- that's fine. I can always 'accidentally' prod you on the eye.

Shadowpaw's head swung to her mentor. She looked embarrassed, but determined to make it up to her mentor.
"Sorry about that..." she said, and lifted her haunches up, her tail moving back and forth slowly. With a great cry, she chose a precise moment and leaped up, claws unsheathed, and gave a swipe with all her might.
She leaped back, out of breath, but proud. Her family was great at swipes. Shadowpaw pushed the rabbit toward Stormcloud.
"You want some? I can always catch more." she asked, her eyes bright.

[Riber~]

Stormcloud watched the young cat swipe, quite well she must admit. Although ...
"Your stamina needs work. Although a good swipe; your enemy would be back and giving attacks while you caught your breath." The she-cat looked upwards, clouds dark and ... unhappy looking maybe? Stormcloud didn't know what they would do. The storms are ruining DarkClan territory bit by bit. What would they do when it was entirely gone? Steal other clan's? They couldn't, the other clans were faring as bad as them. She sighed, staring at the rabbit. "No. Leave it there; we'll take it back to camp later. Now what would you rather?" she mewed, giving the apprentice a choice. "Work on endurance or let me teach you a new move?" Stormcloud's claws slid out on reflex, leaving gouge in the ground.

Shadowpaw pondered over this for a moment.
"I want to work on a new move." she replied, her eyes flaming in determination and excitement.

Stormcloud smirked, circling the cat and waving her fluffy tail pointedly. "We'll start with something easy." She lunged at the younger cat, overtaking her with bounding footsteps. Her paws slashed out once with, lucky for Shadowpaw, unsheathed claws.

Shadowpaw ducked at the brink of the moment, but felt slightly disoriented. The dark she-cat blinked once, then with a rather small attack, she lashed out one nimble, unsheathed paw and proceeded to hit her mentor's head. She missed, because of her dizziness, and tried again, this time not so disoriented.

[Riber~]

Stormcloud matched the younger cat's bats, chuckling rather darkly. She would have to do better then this. "Focus on me ... not on the ground!" She muttered, whipping back another swipe.

Shadowpaw grunted halfheartedly.
The dark cat charged towards her mentor rather aggressively, and with a battlecry, the young apprentice whipped out her paw and tried to bonk her mentor on the head again with an unsheathed paw.

Stormcloud ducked, feeling a claw brush her fur. She had much to learn. With a 3/4 turn, the she-cat swiped at her apprentice, claws sheathed. "Faster!"

ooc- Me neither.

Shadowpaw grunted, angry at herself for missing her mentor- lets see... twice.
She ducked her head quickly, than lashed out with a lightning-fast swipe.
