Petalclaw backed away,her head throbbing. Her vision was blurry,and fur hung off her in clumps of matted blood. "Grrrroff!"she snarled,racing to claw at Moontail's belly,but collapsing at the warrior's paws in exhaustion.

Moontail grabbed Petalclaw by the scruff and brought her over to the medicine cat den and waited for a medicine cat to come out of the den.

Thunder hissed at the fight. The last thing they needed was to scrimmage when they're clans were dying! Still watching he cocked her head, wondering if the clans could make it. They were strong ones ...
But they would need every warrior they could get ...

Petalclaw grumbled as darkness faded from her vision. She was dreaming of the day she died...

"I can't believe it!"Petalclaw mewed,her eyes shining. "You've nearly got it,Mistkit!" She could see that the tiny bundle of silver fur ahead of her had put a ton of effort into this. "Really?"Mistkit squeaked,her blue eyes wide. "Really. 'Couldn't have done better myself."she replied,smiling at her. She looked at the rising moon. "You should get some rest...It'll be moonhigh soon." And then she purred at her unmistakable expression of jealousy. "You get to stay up!" "Because I have guard duty. Now go to sleep." She trotted to the entrance of the camp and sat down,her senses on high alert. Next thing she knew,she had sounded the alarm as nine rouges burst into camp. She raced immeadiately to grab the nearest one to her,who clawed her viciously in response. She saw a huge tabby run into the nursery,and heard Mistkit scream. "Mistkit!"she yowled,plunging into the dark den. As her eyes adjusted she saw the huge tom advance on her little sister ans jumped him. Pain seared through her as he retaliated. Then she was staring into Mistkit's terrified eyes. Agony exploded in her throat when she whirled around,and the world dimmed. "Mistkit....I promise I'll never leave you."and she fell,spinning,into a pool of darkness.

Thunder looked up at Shadow, eyes frustrated and dark. "There's nothing we can do. We can just hope that they survive; which of course, they will. They are strong and tough ... they'll make it." The tom curved his tail over his tabby head, tail tip almost touching it. His eyes fixed back on the water, at the destruction.

Petalclaw jolted awake as she re-lived her death. She realized that every second was precious to the Clans now,and that fighting wouldn't help anyone. She got up slowly,and hobbled towards the group again. "What should we do? Send signs? Messages?"

Petalclaw nodded and sat,frustrated. Then she leaped to her paws. "What if we send a cat from ThunderClan,WindClan,ShadowClan,RiverClan,FireClan,and DarkClan to find a home? And a Wolf from WolfClan! Just like the first journey,they could scout ahead for a new home."
