Rosestar snarled, whipped around and spit at the warrior, nimbly leaping aside from his attack. That was a close call! She thought, looking down at her scraped flank. "Stop!" The leader commanded. "I came here for negotiation, not to rip other cat's fur off!" Her tail lashed behind her as she waited for the warrior to see sense. "I am leader of Iceclan, Rosestar." The she-cat said more calmly, nodding toward her warrior. "And this is Littlestep. We must speak with Whitestar."

Whitestar had heard the commotion and walked out solemnly. His eyes gazed around the clearing before resting on the rogues. "What is your businuss in our clan?" he asked, no hint of challenge or disgust in his voice.

Rosestar's ears flicked at the voice. She turned around to see a white cat. "Ah, you must be Whitestar. A pleasure to meet you." She dipped her head. "We mean no harm, so it might be wise to tell your warrior to show a little respect." The leader continued. "I must talk to you alone, however you can take another cat if you feel as if I would attack you. Though I assure you that I will not attack." Rosestar explained.

Hawkfire reluctantly sheathed his claws. "What do you mean, Iceclan? There is no such thing." He knew it was none of his business, but he wanted to know what was going on.

Rosestar simply ignored the warrior, waiting patiently for Whitestar's reply. Will they ever accept that Fireclan and Iceclan have returned? Rosestar asked herself fearfully. However, none of her fear shone.

Rosestar glanced at Littlestep, signaling with her tail for him to stay. And then she turned and followed Whitestar into his den. How will he react to my request? The black-and-white she-cat thought worriedly. She clenched her teeth, ready to ask as soon as they arrived inside the den.

They went into his quiet den, where Whitestar sat near the back. He looked up at the new cat, who he assumed to be a rogue, with a curious yet solemn look. "Why have you come here?" he meowed, quietly so no one outside could hear what they spoke of.

Rosestar dipped her head politely. He was, of course, a leader of nine lives. "I'm very sorry to intrude. I have come to establish new borders, as my clan needs territory. It will only cut into your territory a bit." The she-cat fought to keep calm. For the sake of Iceclan, please, Starclan, have him accept! Rosestar sent the prayer to the roof of the den as she looked up, and then back at Whitestar, waiting for the reply.

Hawkfire padded around the clearing. He couldn't stand still. There was another clan. And it came on the night of a gathering. Did Starclan want this? He thought.

Whitestar glanced around. Would Starclan want this? Were these cats trustworthy? He had a feeling that they could be trusted, but he wasn't completely sure. Then again, they had so much territory...
"Very well..." he meowed, standing up. "I will allow you to take part of Thunderclan territory, but only a little bit." he then padded out, ready for the gathering.

Rosestar dipped her head in thanks. "Very well, we will set up scent markers as soon as we can, we will try not to take too much territory." She mewed, leaving the den and signaling for Littlestep to join her. I'm so glad he accepted. Rosestar couldn't help but give a sigh of relief. I just hope we don't miss the gathering!
