When he was a apprentice after his parents died he didn't trust any one except his brother and mentor.He hated Rosepaw(Roseheart) the most because he when he was a kitten he screamed when he saw a spider in the nursery and she made fun of him.

He stopped hating her when she saved his life after he chased a mouse over the Shadowclan border.For a moon after that he didn't dare get close to the Shadowclan border.
