The sun was begining to sink behind the trees. Shadowclaw lay in the middle of the clearing with a rabbit between his paws. He was hungry but he couldn't eat yet. He glanced once again at the mouth of Shadwstars den, nothing.

Shadow slipped out of her den and strode onto the highrock. Yowling to get her warriors' attention, she mentally prepared her announcements. She was going to announce Arcticpaw's apprenticeship, ShadowClaw's deputyhood, and the names of cats who would go to the gathering.

[LEN KAGAMINE]

SilentRiver slipped out of the Nursery, worry flooding off her pelt. She gazed up at the leader, who looked like she was about to call a meeting. She shook her head. Right now, she was keen on finding the Kits that Dissapeared.

Spotpaw raised her head when she heard her leader's yowl. Quickly, she ate the rest of her fish before rising to her feet and padding over to a good spot where she could hear Shadowstar's announcement.

Lonepaw stepped out from the apprentice den and turned his head towards Shadowstar. What could this be about? he thought in his mind. He scuttled over to a spot a few tail-lengths from the fresh-kill pile, and waited for him to continue.

Acrticpaw leaped up by his leader, Shadowstar, today he would get his mentor.

SHORTNESS

Shadowclaw leapt to his paws and strode towards highrock. He sat down beneath it and placed his tail neatly over his paws. He looked up obediently at his leader.

Shadow looked at the cats gazing up at her. "Today I have a fe special announcements. Firstly, the cats which will go with me to the gathering: ShadowClaw, Blackclaw, Arcticpaw, Spotpaw and Lonepaw...SilentRiver you stay here with the kits, Oakclaw can come too. Echopaw may also come, but Blossompaw and Mountainpaw should stay. Now, onto the next peice of Business."Shadow paused to let the cats register what had been said so far.

Spotpaw twitched her ear when she heard the announcement. She had been picked to be in the Gathering! She never thought this would happen today! Not at all! Excitement crept up the young cats pelt as she sat proudly.

The Gathering? Lonepaw thought. Realization spiked though him and his eyes widened. That was today! He had thought it be a few more sun-rises before it actually came. How could he have missed it? Well, it seemed as if he had been picked for it and now he was going.

[Cheesles]

Shadowclaw shivered with excitment, he knew what would happen next!

[Wolvine]

Nightjaw glanced up at his friend, feeling proud and scared at the same time. He knew it was what Shadowclaw had wanted, but he couldn't help feeling that it was wrong. He was the only cat to know about his father and his best friend. He worried that if he beacme deputy it would ruin their friendship. He shook himself
"No." He whispered to himself angrily. "Nothing can ruin it. He would never blab my secret!

[Cheesles]

Shadowclaw saw Nightjaw looking worried. He padded over to talk to him.
"You know what is happening right? Is it ok?" He asked.

[Edward]

Shadow cleared her throat. "After the death of our JadeClaw, we must choose another deputy." she said sadly, thinking of the poor cat who now rested with StarClan. "ShadowClaw shall be the new deputy." she meowed, smiling slightly at the cat sitting proudly below her.

[[after the Gathering and after her wounds have healed...]]

Sahdow took her place once again at the top. Her wounded leg burned like fire and ice, and she stood at an angle so the cats wouldn't see too much of the wound and would not be too worried. "Unfor--" Shadow's voice was still weak and husky. She coughed a rasping cough and continued, trying to be loud enough to be heard, "Unfortunately we were pressed for time at the gathering, and I did not get to finish the announcements. We also have two apprentice cats ready for a certain time in their lives...the time when they become warriors."

Irispaw looked up with bright eyes at her leader, nudging Arcticpaw in the side, smiling and excited to become warriors. She wonedred what her warrior name would be ...

Arcticpaw padded up beside Irispaw, today they would be warriors! He was so excited....

"Irispaw and Articpaw are both fine apprentices, and they are now ready to recieve their warrior names." Shadow caught the two cats' eyes and continued, "Irispaw, you shall gain the name Irisglade as you pass into warrior rank." she turned to the tomcat, "Articpaw, your new name shall be Articsplash." she rasied her head, "May you both become strong and loyal warriors, Irisglade and Articsplash." with an ending smile, Shadow limped slowly down from the rock to congratulate the two new warriors.

[Riber~]

Irisglade smiled, eyes alit with joy as he basked in the spotlight of becoming a warrior. Her dark paws padded to Shadowstar, touching noses with her respected leader.

Arcticsplash padded over to his leader, he had finally become what he wanted, a warrior. He went and touched noses with his leader
"Thank-you." He mummbled

Shadowclaw padded over to Articsplash.
"I am a deputy and you are a warrior. We are both happy. You learnt much before I toke you under my wing. That is why we weren't together for long. But I wish it could've been longer. It was only a moon or so. You can't really call me a mentor at all." He purred.

[Wolvine]

When the Meeting finished, Nightjaw walked over to Shadowclaw and said his congratulations. He grinned as a thought came into his mind.
"You know that is something happens to Shadowstar" (Not hopping that will happen)"And you become leader, that will be two Shadowstars in a row!"

[Cheesles]

"Your so silly!" Shadowclaw replied giving him a friendly cuff on the ear.

[Wolvine]

He grined again.
"Anyway, your going to be really busy right? I´m going to sit vigil for Jadeclaw tonight. I´m guessing you´ll come?"
