Spiderfang looked taken aback. Is it fair to say that's the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me? she thought sarcastically. She blinked at him in gratitude. "Thanks,"she purred in a strained voice. "But you don't have to."

Skull actually put on the first real smile he'd ever worn. "Oh, but I will." He meowed. There was no more offering; he was going to help Spiderfang.

Spiderfang purred through clenched teeth. Oww, she thought,stepping gingerly onto her leg. Pain lanced through her as she hobbled to where she'd buried the rabbit,and she grasped it's soggy brown fur in her sharp teeth. She looked back at Skull and smiled,a real smile,not the imitations she'd worn since Gorgepaw's death.

Skull had seen Spiderfang smile before, but it had never been real. This time, he could tell. She was actually smiling, standing there in the rain, that rabbit hanging from her jaws. "Achrrr!" Skull exclaimed as he stepped on his bleeding paw to uncover his rabbit, and two mice. That was all he could carry.

Spiderfang purred slightly. "I think we should come back for the rest,"she mumbled through the big rabbit and the limp thrush. She padded towards Skull,somehow eager to stand by him again.

Skull nodded, and padded beside Spiderfang, keeping his hurt paw off the ground. He glanced back every so often to check and see if she was okay.

Spiderfang looked up at him every now and then,and once,when she met his gaze,she looked away quickly. She didn't want him to worry about her. Her fur still felt hot when she remembered his calm purple eyes staring at her.

OOC:Spiderfang and Skull were attacked by a fox. Thats about it.

Nightstar returned to the other two cats, three squirrels draping out of his mouth by their tails. "What I miss?" he mumbled through the squirrel fur, he could see something interesting from the scars on both cats. He wondered if the fox he had scented had attacked.

Skull scented his leader. "A fox attacked.. not just some ordinary fox. He.. could talk, said his name was Kanzou of Fire. And he wants to ally with us." Skull rasped through prey.

"Kanzou of Fire? Could we ever trust a fox?" he mumbled to himself, dropping the squirrels and burying them beneath the earth. "Did he say where he went?" he mewed scenting the air for his last piece of prey. He could scent a chaffinch eating hearty for the coming winter months, it would soon be in the air flying out of range of the storm. But Nightstar would get him before that. "Both of you might as well return to camp, have Ripplesong check those wounds."
