A Important Matter

Moontail saw that Goldenkit was sleeping peacefully and decided she should check in with Wolfstar and Spottedheart.
She moved from out of nursery and toward the leader's den. She approached the den and poked her old head inside the den and called "Wolfstar, Spottedheart, we have to talk."

"Hello!?" Moontail called

Spottedheart stared out the crack, her green eyes glinting at Moontail, "Come in." she whispered. She watched as Moontail slid in, "What did you need?" Spottedheart asked gently. Maybe for once Spottedheart didn't have her rough tone that she usually did, maybe it was because of her lack of running outside. Spottedheart waited patiently for Moontail to reply.

Moontail came in and sat down in front of Spottedheart."We need to speak about Goldenkit." she spoke.

Spottedheart narrowed her eyes, "Go on." she meowed.

"Goldenkit did something, that he does deserve to be punished for, but he should also be apprenticed. Have you seen the gash he got on his ear? That's his first scar, and not a whimper out of him! I'd like to be his mentor, I may be old, but I do not plan on being a elder. Not Yet."The old she-cat spoke.

[Spottedheart]

Spottedheart flicked her ears, she lowered her voice so nobody could hear, "Truthfully I wanted to apprentice Goldenkit the second I saw him fight that badger. But..." Spottedheart looked down at her paws, "He isn't old enough yet. I'll tell Wolfstar you want to be his mentor but you too just joined the clan....so I don't think he would agree." Spottedheart sat up straight again and her voice became louder again, "You need to re-learn your battle skills don't you? After being a loner for that long..." she meowed, "I wouldn't mind re-teaching you." she purred.

[Goldenstorm]

"My skills are fine, everyday, while I was a rogue, some cat, badger, or fox would attack me. I'm still here aren't I. If I can't be Goldenkit's mentor, you or my son should be. He should get apprenticed now, something tells me something bad is going to happen, and if we don't have all the fighting cats we need, what will happen then?"

[Spottedheart]

Spottedheart nodded. She closed her eyes for a moment and saw battling cats, rogues and loners all at once attacking the camp, her eyes flung open. "GOLDENKIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"she yowled. Soon she could hear small paws padding quickly outside the den.

[Goldenstorm]

Goldenkit replied "Sorry, I just. Moontail wasn't in the nursery when I woke up and I got worried. So I came here to report. About the mentor thing, I would really like you or Watertail. Moontail would be my top choice though."

[Spottedheart]

Spottedheart looked at the kit, 'Forget about it Spottedheart, you'll find another apprentice, this kit is suppose to be Moontails apprentice.' Spottedheart sighed, "Alright." she meowed, "I'll talk to Wolfstar when I can. But for now, Moontail come with me. I just want to test you and make sure you still can fight. Don't worry Im not about to teach you." Spottedheart purred, "Come on." And walked out.

"Well I don't know, Moontail, your kind of my mother now, I don't think you mentoring me would work. Spottedheart, I want you to be my mentor." he said. With that Moontail walked out with Spottedheart. Goldenkit followed to see the old she-cat's fighting skills.

Spottedheart followed Moontail and ran past her, "Follow me!" she meowed.
