Batfur slipped unnoticed through the undergrowth, his fur prickling. Ugh! The nerve of that Deathstrike... Accusing him of being disloyal! He was the one who spat lies all the time. At least he didn't have a large attention span.

He was able to slip away during the whole... Robinkit and Foxkit fiasco. He was going to meet Leafglaze. His eyes gleamed with excitement. "Leafglaze?" he called softly once he reached the border.

At first, there was no answer, no movement across the river. Just silence as the trees of ThunderClan stood tall many paces away, glowering down at Batfur with their clawed branches, as if trying to send him away with intimidation.

And then, after a long silence, a responding mew came, and soon, Leafglaze came out. She'd hadn't seen him in days. It'd been so long. She was trying to find the right time to meet him again, and this one was as good as ever. Luckily for her, Sweetfur died just yesterday. Or was that a bad thing to think of a clanmate?

She shrugged. She was happy when he died. But not devilishly happy. She hoped, prayed that StarClan wouldn't send her to the dark forest over this thoughtless muse.

"Batpaw!" Leafglaze called just as quickly as she advanced to the river. Oh joy! She was happy. Happy as a fly on a day of discarded food. She had yet to know he was made a warrior, but things come to those who wonder.

Batfur puffed his chest out, not with pride, but indignation. "It's Batfur now!" he said, his voice a playful growl. He quickly leaped into the river, swimming strongly towards Leafglaze. He shook his pelt, scattering droplets of moonlight from his pelt. "I'm so happy you're here," he mewed, his eyes softening.

"Well, Batfur," she purred, "how is everything going in RiverClan?" At the moment, she wanted to hear what was going on with him. She always wanted to know, and she liked it when he told her. It was like looking past the river. She never liked talking about herself and her clan. It seemed... overdone.

ThunderClan this, ThunderClan that, bah. What about the other clans? It was one of the reasons she was always excited for a Gathering.

[Naruto]

Batfur smirked. "There's too much going on for my liking... A couple of ex Clan-cats came and I was just able to slip out during that distraction." He growled irritably and swished his tail. Just talking about his idiotic Clan was making him mad...

Leafglaze's eyes widened. Ex-clan cats? "They can just walk in like that?" It made her think. Could a cat that used to be from her clan just waltz in. Her mind thought back to the day Leopardstrike came back. That confirmed a definite yes. How old was she then? Still a kit, about to be a 'paw, she believed. Sometimes, she still felt like a kit. She liked it. "That seems interesting." She thought about what could be going on there. But she had a feeling Batfur wouldn't tell her.

[Naruto]

"Apparently." he said, shrugging. "It's not very interesting when you count everything else happening... Like the journey."

Leafglaze's fur bristled. She forgot about the journey! All about it! Shouldn't she be hunting so she could make sure everyone had the strength to come along! Oh, what was wrong with her.

"Are you guys going? To the journey?" Hopefully they would, but she could understand if they wouldn't. They really didn't have much of a reason to go.

[Naruto]

"Yep." He didn't sound all enthusiastic about it. "I agree we need to move... But we have many kits and young apprentices right now. A few pregnant queens too. They'll have a rough time of it getting across the smallest hill we come across." He flicked his tail, slightly annoyed. "What about you?"
