Main Clearing

Redstar padded out of his den and into the camp's clearing. He stretched raking his claws in the ground. Then he sat up and surveyed the camp.

Winterstrom step out of the warriors' den and Redstar. She walked up to him and said dipping her in repect, "Hello, Redstar. How are you?"

Redstar flicked his tail in greeting. "I've been better. I'm getting too old to be the leader of Shadowclan. I don't have many lives left, and there's a cat in Thunderclan that would do anything to kill me..." His voice trailed off. "Want to go on a border patrol?"

"Sure," Winterstrom said licking her paw. She didn't care about portals but it would get her mind off of things.

[Sagepaw]

Sagepaw padded slowly out of the medicine den. He walked over to the fresh kill pile and picked up a mouse. Every young cat tryed to stay far away. "Why are they staring?" He thought. Maybe it was the fact all his siblings died, his last sister under strange causes. "I think he killed her" whispred a apprentice. "I heard he tricked her into a fox den" hisses another. "I dident do that" he thought.

Treepaw padded put of the apprentice den, carrying a piece of moss in his mouth. His eyes were only half open and were full of sleep. He slowly chewed on his the piece of moss as he made his was over to the fresh-kill pile. When he reached it he sniffed at each piece as if to check and see if it was good. Of course it was good, it wouldn't be in camp if it wasn't good, maybe it was just a thing for him.

Setting his moss down he grabbed a piece. Before he padded over to a good spot he nodded towards Sagepaw. Maybe eating something will wake me up, he thought in his drowsy and clouded mind.
