Bringing Aqua Back

Griffinshade grunted with the weight of the she-cat on his back as he crossed into ThunderClan territory. He gritted his teeth and pushed onward, his thick fur cushioning his back bones from Aquapaw's body. He heaved himself over a thick branch that crashed on the ground floor. He decided to try and wake the furball he carried so he could move quicker.
He tipped his back to the side, the ThunderClan apprentice should slip off him so he could awaken her.

ooc: Aqua's Riber's kitteh. I coulda sworn she was a ThunderClan apprentice, Griffin saved her during the gathering thingey.

Aquapaw blinked awake to... pain. The she-cat apprentice was staring up at Griffinshade, in her own territory. What had happened? She searched her memory for clues and remembered. The shaking! Oh, the terrible shaking! And a tree. It had fell on her hind leg. She froze and she frantically checked her leg. That's when she noticed the bloody mess her back was in. The bone was sticking out at a terrible angle and she screeched. "Whaa-?" was all she could manage as she struggled to her paws, looking at Griffinshade through pain-glazed eyes. Her hind leg hung and she stumbled to the ground, jarring her shoulder against a rock.

Griffinshade felt his blood turn to ice as the young she-cat screeched in pain. He noticed his fur soaked with her blood on his back as he looked down and saw her injury. It was horrible, she was close to death, he knew that much. What do I do? I could bring the Medicine Cat to her, but she wouldn't know every thing about Aquapaw's leg. If I carry Aquapaw again, I could get her there faster, but she'd be in some serious pain.
He looked down at the apprentice's eyes, pain shone through. He had to look away, he didn't know what to do. He looked back, It's this or she'll die. He reached down to grab her by the scruff and swing her over his own blood soaked back again.

ooc: should I put Lostpaw in here? .___. She needed more herbs anyway, so that is her excuse to get out of camp. She could find you trying to carry the apprentice. :'D

A short distance from where Griffinshade was trying to get Aquapaw on his back, a small she-cat, still the age of an apprentice, was sniffing through the bushes. In her mouth was a small bundle of herbs and cobwebs she had found earlier. However, she wasn't looking for herbs right at this moment. What she was looking for was the sourse of blood. Not prey blood, but cat blood. Any cat with a nose like her's could smell it a mile away. Lostpaw stuck her head through a fern, and the scent hit her like a twoleg's monster. She strained her ears to see if she could make out anything that was being said, but she did know that, by the vibrations in the earth, there was a large tom and a smaller she-cat. Mixed with the blood scent was Shadowclan and Thunderclan. Lostpaw then knew who was hurt. It was Aquapaw. The small she-cat bounded through the ferns and towards the pair. "Drop her!" She hissed through the bundle in her mouth. She new that the Shadowclan cat meant no harm, but you can't move an injured cat like that. Lostpaw skidded to a halt near the apprentice and warrior. The Medicine cat dropped the bundle and started barking orders to the warrior. "Shadowclan warrior, get two large sticks that are about the same lenths!" The blind cat stuck her nose through the bundle she had dropped. She had all of the necessary herbs. Then, she sniffed the leg that was covered in blood. She made sure that her nose didn't touch it. Hmm... This'll be hard. She had never actually fixed a broken leg with the bone coming out. Oh well, either way, Aquapaw wouldn't be able to walk correctly.

Griffinshade smelt herbs as they reaked off Lostpaw's pelt. Immediately he knew that she was in fact a medicine cat, or apprentice of one. He stopped tugging on Aquapaw's scruff. He gently and quickly put her back on the ground and let go of her fur.
He heard the cat's urgent instructions and growled, determined to help the ThunderClan cat. He turned hard and pushed hard onto the ground with his paws and sprang off into the distance to find sticks. Not two badger-lengths away, he found two hard and straight sticks, just about as long as Aquapaw's legs. He grabbed it in his jaws roughly and whipped around to leap back at the ThunderClan Medicine Cat.

[Riber~]

Aquapaw whimpered in pain, gaze clouded as Lostpaw bounded forward, yowling at Griffinshade. Her own reek of blood was enough to make her vomit; which, mind you, she did. Her thoughs weren't coherent as she fell in and out of consciousness. Why her? And what had happened to the rest of ThunderClan? The world spun and she vaguely heard voices and the bounding back of the ShadowClan cat.

Griffinshade skidded to a halt beside the ThunderClan apprentice, covered in vomit and her own blood. He felt bad, as if it were his own fault. "You can help her, right?" he didn't even know her, wasn't even nice to her, but he still felt obligated to help to as much as his ability. Maybe it was the warrior code getting to his head.

Lostpaw nodded in Griffinshade's direction when he brought back two sticks. The blind she-cat took out a few poppy seeds and gave them to the tom. "Make sure she eats that. It'll help with the pain." Lostpaw moved closer to the apprentice's leg. She would have to push the bone back into place, but she won't be able to give her comfery to help it heal. The she-cat sighed and placed her paws gentally on the bone. "This'll hurt a bit, Aquapaw." She mewed softly as she began to push the bone back into place. It was still a bit crooked, but it'll have to do. After that, Lostpaw then took some marrigold from the bundle and started chewing it into a pulp. She placed the pulp on the wound, put the sticks into place (which is pretty hard for a blind cat) and started wrapping cobwebs around the leg. This made a make-shift split. She'll have to replace the cobwebs soon. "Now, Shadowclan cat, please help take her to camp." Lostpaw picked up the rest of the bundle and tried to nudge Aquapaw up so that Griffinshade could get her on his back.

Griffinshade nodded, forgetting his own question. "Here." he nearly whispered to Aquapaw, trying to get her conscious again so that she could take the poppy seeds. He crouched low, so that after she took them, she could get back on his back. She'd be easy to carry, and she'd feel a lot better.

Aquapaw fell back into consiciousness, her dreams fuzzy and without sense, and looked down at the poppy seeds, lapping them with her tongue. It was surprising, even to herself, that she didn't wail in pain when her fragile leg was pushed back into place. She just gritted her teeth and took it. Let me have it StarClan. She thought bitterly. She already knew she would never become a warrior. Usually she was optimistic. This time, there was no bright side. The apprentice struggled to her paws, wincing at the stinging throb, and practicaly fell onto Grififnshade's back.

Lostpaw twitched her right ear when Aquapaw tried to stand. "Don't push yourself..." The blind Medicine Cat shook her pelt and sniffed the air, trying to find the Thunderclan Camp scent through the blood and herbs. "Come." She signaled with her tail to the Shadowclan cat and started towards the camp.

Griffinshade obediently and without question. His bloody back carrying the injured apprentice to the ThunderClan camp. I told them we had to leave now...
