Hunting

Daylark wandered out of camp and towards the lake. It was a pitiful day. The ground was squelchy-wet, and it was windy and cold. Nevertheless, she trode on. She felt like she had to catch something for the clan.

Boom!

A loud crack of thunder split through Daylark's ears. She hated, hated thunder and lightening. She fought the urge to run back to camp. It appeared that it would rain soon.

A flash of pale fur whispered through the undergrowth. Yellowstorm was angry. Several cats had blamed him for not bringing home any prey. Hello?! There is no prey out during a thunderstorm. So why the heck did they yell at him?!

He bounded towards the river, happening to spot Daylark hunting. He narrowed his eyes and stalked towards her, leaping and pouncing without thinking and trying to sink his teeth into her neck.

Daylark let out a terrible scream. "Who-who..." Her voice trailed off. She looked down and noticed a growing pool of blood below her throat. She looked back up and saw Yellowstorm. "Why..."

Yellowstorm didn't reply, instead smiling a twisted, evil smile and lowering his head to rip out the she-cat's throat. "Say hello to StarClan for me!" he snarled.
