Desperate Plea(Open)
A large white wolf lay in the nursery structure, stretched out in a nest of feathers and bracken. Her body was skeletal thin, all of her ribs showing and her legs as thin and fragile as if they were made of sand. Her once-beautiful white pelt was dull and matted. One moon ago she had lost the strength to even groom herself, instead just choosing to let her fur stay dirty.
She panted, exhausted and weak from lack of food. Though pregnant, she had become just as thin and emancipated as the other members of her Clan. Akuma closed her eyes, almost wishing for death. If there is a StarClan out there, please help us! We are dying... She'd been begging the ghost-warriors of StarClan for help for a quarter-moon now. Almost every waking moment was spent hoping and praying that they would hear her and make the rain stop, and let all the prey come back.
The sad irony was that she didn't even believe in StarClan. She'd once called them "only a dream made up by cats to explain the good and bad things that happened to them." She'd said that once you were dead you were dead. That there was no place you could go to watch over your beloved ones still living. But now she was begging these fictional dead cats and wolves to help her Clan in their time of need.
A weak smile formed on Akuma's lips. "The irony is almost funny..." she whispered, her voice thin and cracked. Of course, some of the wolves gave her prey from time to time, believing in the "Warrior Code" and the rule to let queens and kits eat before warriors. But, as the prey was getting scarcer, wolves were dying, some even opting to abandon their pack. Many started to fend for themselves, fighting their own Clanmates in order to keep what little food they had.
But what was the point of all the fighting? In fact, Akuma herself had witnessed a Pack-mate's death at the paws of his own comrade. And over what? A pathetic scrap of mouse-meat that the murderer had found by chance whilst digging deep into the ground of what had been the fresh-kill pile. It had gone rotten long before, but it was still food. The famine was taking it's toll on everyone. No one had seen the Alpha for days. Many presumed he was dead.
She lifted her head, angry at how she could barely do this simple task, and stared out the doorway of the den, her eyes reflecting back the rain. The dreaded rain. Even now, she could imagine the pristine clear droplets becoming the blood of the many wolves slain in the past two moons from hunger. Her lips lifted up in the beginnings of a snarl, revealing her teeth, yellowed and sharp. Why won't you help us? She felt movement in her belly, swollen with Kraze's pups, and looked up at the gray sky desperately. Please?

OOC: BLEH!
Kraze ran into the nursery as quickly as he possibly could. It was almost like a black spirit was speeding through the clan and it was utterly unstoppable. He jumped inside, standing where the opening ended to conceal himself from site.
His fur was matted, stuck to his thin skin that easily revealed his ribs. A yellow crust was around his nose, giving him a sickly look. His eyes were dull, holding more than their usual anger and hostility the days hadbrought to him, now they hold fear as well. Blood, fresh as rain, caked his muzzle as, in his mouth, he held a cat. This cat was not scrawny like the other ones, it had ample meat on it, good enough to sustain one for a good amount of time. The smell of RiverClan clung to it's fur, as well as Kraze's. The limp body of the dead apprentice was, clearly evident, killed swiftly.
The black wolf stared at Akuma, making quick checks to see if she was alive, and then, almost lifelessly and mechanically, he dropped the cat to the ground, a thud sounding off as she hit the ground, her leopard pelt stained with her own blood. Kraze looked worse than the cat, though. He looked traumatized almost, at what he'd done, but at the same time, he felt nothing.
A moment later, Dairo strolled slowly and happily to the entrance. He, on the other hand, had sucessfully caught a scrawny fox that had been passing through, probably leaving, or searching for scraps and prey. Lucky him, to find something rare. He glanced over and Kraze, then back at Akuma, happy as ever, his tail wagging. Somehow able to keep up high hopes.
"We got you some food!" He announced through the fox.

Re: Desperate Plea(Open)
Akuma smiled weakly at her mate. "Thank you," she rasped, dipping her head in gratitude. She wouldn't ever let him know, but she was more concerned for him than she was for herself or the unborn pups in her belly. He was sick, and the famine helped nothing.
"You need to keep up your strength. Eat a little."

Re: Desperate Plea(Open)
Kraze shook his head silently. He couldn't eat, she needed it more. He sat in the corner of the nursery, sick and depressed, making it look darker than it really was. He couldn't speak, he didn't feel he could, if he opened his mouth, what would come out? Nothing, he didn't think.
"Well, if you aren't going to eat that, eat the fox then!" He tossed the dead skelteton over to him. "It's alright, I'm not hungry, and I think Akuma can do good with what she has." No, he wasn't hungry, and he thought the cat was big enough to sustain her.

Re: Desperate Plea(Open)
Akuma looked over at Kraze, worry shining in her eyes. "Alright then." she said quietly, taking a bite out of the cat. It was revolting to think about it, but her hunger was so great that this was the best thing she'd ever eaten. "Thank you,"
Re: Desperate Plea(Open)
It wasn't until Akuma started to eat, did Kraze start to take a bit of the skinny fox that Dairo had brought. He seemed more sick than he had ever. It was revolting what he'd done, but he was glad that neither of them had seen a thing of disapproval. Well, Dairo did in his own little joking way, but Kraze couldn't tell if he cared or not. So he carried out with what he had.
"Shouldn't you be with Mori?" Dairo asked as he usually did, never keeping things to himself. Kraze had snuck out and left, after he took whatever medication she decided to give him. Kraze didn't answer him, though, he wasn't paying attention, not even to the food that he could barely stomach. He was thinking about everything else that had everything to do with Akuma and his future pups.

OOC: ZOMG I forgot this. XD
Akuma looked up, blue eyes suspicious. "Yes, shouldn't you be with Mori?" she asked, a smile creeping around the corners of her lips.

Re: Desperate Plea(Open)
OOC: XD I thought I didn't post because I was being lazy.
"I'm fine," Kraze grunted, taking small bites of the fox. He didn't need to go over there. He didn't feel that bad, even though he was a complete and utter mess, and anyways, he had to make sure Akuma was fine. He could just sit around all day like a lump.

Re: Desperate Plea(Open)
Akuma rested her head on her paws, her tail sweeping the ground. "Alright..." she said reluctantly, twitching one ear.
OOC: Muse died...
