Barkfur Takes A Rest

[Goldenstorm]

Barkfur led her kits into the camp, eagerly rushing her kits into the Nursery. She laid down in her own nest and showed her belly so that her kits could nurse. She smiled, happy that she was back in the Clan, though she still felt Thistlefur's absence like a badger's jaws on her tail.

Whitekit stumbled over and practically collapsed at her mother's side. She was so tired. And hungry. It was probably the rain. She greedily suckled at her mother's belly, filling her own belly. She purred happily until she was full, then she slipped off into a calming nap.

Bluekit looked over at Barkfur, one of the... newer queens. Maybe her kits will be more fun to talk to. Squirrelkit was always doing something. Dovekit... Dovekit. And Ashkit was afraid of everything. He looked over at the little kit as he pressed against his mother, looking over at the other kit, acting timid. He said he was just shy, or he mumbled it, and his mother sure backed him up, but StarClan.

Luckykit looked up. "Newcomers!", she yowled and woke up everyone else. "Newcomers! Newcomers!" She started to jump up and down like a ball. Then she ran around the new kits to inspect them. "Who are you?", she asked. "I'm Luckykit from Thunderclan and this are my mom and siblings." She turned and pointed with her paw to Sandfur, Darkkit and Mudkid.

Squirrelkit opened her eyes. "Man! I was having the best dream! There was a mouse and everything!" The tiny kit had barely tasted mouse beofre. But she already longed to hunt in the forest, like a real warrior. "What is it, Luckykit?" she asked, thoroughly annoyed. Then she noticed Barkfur and her kits and smiled. "Hiya!"

Barkfur smiled at the two younger kits. "Calm down you two, you'll make the warriors think there's a badger in here." she purred, looked down at her kits. "This is Vinekit, Whitekit, and Sealkit." she introduced, pointing her tail at each one in order.

"Welcome!", Luckykit mewed in her tiny voice. "Make yourself comfortable and tomorrow we'll have a lot of fun!"

Bluekit groaned. Man these cats were loud... Really, weren't those kits trying to sleep or something? Oh, but he was dealing with the fact that pretty much everyone was younger than him. Ah... the days that go by are harder to bare.

Ashkit's eyes darted over to each kit. Why did they have to be so loud? It hurt his ears! It really did. There was a pounding in the that just wouldn't stop. Stupid ears, he bet no one else's ears hurt like that. But then again, they weren't laying right next to Squirrelkit, who was always loud...

Whitekit looked up at Squirrelkit, awoken from her peaceful sleep by her loud mouth. She just made out Squirrelkit's and Luckykit's small bodies, yet they towered over her. She reached up her nose to meet one of theirs.

Sealkit gave a yawn and sat up, looking around. "Hey Whitekit! Am I hungry?" He stared at Bluekit, his jaws slightly parted, a long line of drool falling from the black hole that was called his mouth. "Mmmm..."

Pantherkit looked around the nursery, it once again was getting very over-crowded, she hoped that her litter and her could move out and finally have some space. But aside from that living in the nursery was actually quite fun. The younger kits sure were loud and annyoing, but fun play-mates. "Hello Barkfur!" she meowed, then padded over towards the exit. "Anyone wanna play a game or something?" she asked the other kits. "If, so come outside with me. And with that Pantherkit was off, prancing her way to the center of the clearing. She looked around, no one was really in site, so she guessed that they could maybe play a small game of ShadowClan vs. ThunderClan.

Well, Ashkit of course didn't want to play. A moment away from his mother ment death! Ergh. Bluekit decided to go, though, all of the kits were being loud and, in a small space like the nursery, that wasn't good, so he forced himself up, but as soon as he did he heard a loud ring behind him.

"I willl!" Oh StarClan. It was Foofkit, who he hadn't heard a word from until now. She was so incredibly loud. Before she walked outside, however, she went to look at the kits, giving them a quick and loud hi before leaving outside the nursery. Now Bluekit was reluctant to follow, but he did anyways. Hmmmerg.

Whitekit was amazed when she saw Sealkit piece together that actually made sense. She decided to give it a shot, "Y-yeah, real hungry." she smiled, or at least that's what she thought she said. What really came out was a bunch of squeaks put together, sounding almost like a little scream.

Barkfur craned her neck down to both her kits, she was proud of Sealkit, but she could tell Whitekit wouldn't be that fast with words. "I don't think Whitekit's that close to speaking, yet." she smiled at Sealkit. She briefly held her head close to Whitekit then licked Sealkit on his head.

Whitekit stood up, smiling and purring, all at once. She was a bit wobbly the first few steps, who could blame her, she was only a week old. Eventually she got her footing quite well and she purposely bundled into Pantherkit, giving a squeak. "I wanna play!" she tried to piece together, another failure. Hopefully she'd get it sooner or later.

OOC: Dovey is kinda like a Spazz Kitteh. Always moving and being happy and exuberant. Very sweet, though. XD

Squirrelkit totally blanled out on over half the conversation. "Hm? Oh I wanna play! C'mon Ashkit!" She pushed her nose up under her brother to push him away from their mother. "Don't be such a baby!"

"Fine," Ashkit said with a sullen voice, not wanting to leave, but listening to Squirelkit since she was older than him. Why did she want him to go out there!? He was fine in here! Fine in the saftey of the nursery, it was here for a reason!

[Naruto]

Squirrelkit purred. "Good! So what're we playing?" As per usual she was completely clueless as to what she was doing. Because she'd seen a butterfly float in and gotten distracted when the other kits were chit-chatting. But true warriors didn't need to talk! They only needed to fight and hunt and eat and sleep. Right?

OOC: Her idea of a distraction is my idea of not reading those pages before. XP

Whitekit looked over at Squirrelkit, "A fun game I hope!" she tried to squeak, again, just mumbled nonsense.

ic: Luckykit rolled her way out of the nursery and bumped into Squirrelkit. "OOMPH!", she mewed, laid on her back. "I want to play, too!" With that she came to her paws again. "Sorry Squirrelkit!", she mewed while bypassing her.

"Come on then!" Pantherkit shouted from outside the nursery with a pile of its at her feet. "Now, who wants to play ThunderClan vs ShadowClan? Or we could play toss with a moss ball. Your choice." she meowed looking into their big eyes. So cute.

Dovekit pranced around towards her sister and brother. Ashkit was being whimpy and ... weird. And Squirrlekit was being her normal self. A more hyper version of Dovekit. She shuffled her paws, looking back to see if the had Raindapple's permission. "Momma, can we goooooo and play with the other kits outside! The older ones will look out for us. Please!" ...

[Lynx]

"Toss! Toss! Toss!", Luckykit squealed, leaping around Pantherkit.

Whitekit looked at the other cats funny. She had no clue what a Clan was. "What's a ThunderClan?" she mumbled, of course no one could understand her squeaks of confusion.

[Lynx]

Luckykit turned around to the Newcomers. "Are you coming, too? If you're going to stay here, we could start playing right now! You can start exploring the camp and dens later!"

Foofkit rolled her eyes at Luckykit's over excitement. "Toss is boring. Let's do the other one." She didn't want to throw moss around like a little kit. She was a kit, but not a little one. She wasn't excited by such frivelous things.

Ashkit jumped when Luckykit bumped into his sister. Why did they have to be so rough? Even if it was by accident. "Maybe I should just stay here," he concluded at last.

Whitekit, still a little confused, took on a faintly angered face. "But I don't even know what a Clan is!" she squealed, mumbled nonsense. She tried to dig her small claws into the moist earth, but they couldn't break the surface.
