The New Kits (open)

[Cheesles]

A tiny mew woke Flower. She looked at her belly to see her three kits wroggling beside her. The biggest kit, Cedarkit had some how managed to wriggle out of the nest, but she hadn't gotten far. Flower stretched out her tail to guide Cedarkit, wether she choose to follow her, was a mystery.


(She should like leap on the tail!)

Cedarkit stop her moving when she smelled her mother's scent pass by it. Her tail had passed by her, but she didn't know it, she couldn't see it. Instead, taking it as an order, the naturally rebellious kit turned the other way and crawled a little farther, blindly making her way towards a wall. She was going to figure out where she was, no matter what.

Morningflower carefully pushed Autumnkit off her belly and closer to her other sister. Flower stood up and padded beside Cedarkit. "Come on little one," She mewed quietly so she wouldn't wake up the other kits and queens. She wrapped her tail around her stumbling kit. Then she heard a little mew as Autumnkit managed to scramble out of the nest. She began to wriggle on her belly towards her mother's scent and her other sister.

A small sound of distess came from Cedarkit as she felt her mother's tail curl around her. She couldn't leave now, she was almost there! She could feel it! Why was she being stopped. She squirmed, trying to get away from her mother. She didn't want to go back to the other kits.

[Cheesles]

Flowe, scencing her kits need to explore toke her tail away from the kit. She whispered, "Five minutes, but then back to sleep, its, too early little one, when its Sun High you can play all you want."


After a little while Flower curled her tail around her kit again. "Ok, we've got to go back to sleep now," she mewed, Picking the kit up by the scruff.

Berrykit woke up as she lost the warmth of her mother. Where did she go? Why wasn't she there? She smelled her mother's scent and the scents of her sisters. Blindly, she wrigled out of the nest and tried to follow the scents so that she could drink and huddle by her mother.

It was Dawn and Skimble just returned from the border patrol. He walked straigth to the nursery to see if Flower and the kits were awake. To his surprise Flower was very busy keeping their one day old kits altogether in her nest. Skimble smiled. "Little curious adventurers, huh?", he mewed to Flower as he stepped in. Carefully he took Cedarkit by the scruff and put her back into the nest and nudged her to Flowers belly. Berrkykit and Autumnkit didn't seem to got far so he just guided them back to the nest with his paw. "How was your first night together?", he asked and settled down beside Flowers nest to watch his kits drink.

[Wolvine]

Macavity gave a stretch and padded up to Skimbleshakns, smiling. "Just heared the news. Congratulations!"

[Cheesles]

"Oh Macavity!" Flower purred. "I was wondering where you were!" She carefully pushed her kits to her belly to feed. "It's still a bit painful," She mewed shifting in her nest. Then looking up at her mate she mewed, "They are all very adventurious, like you," She reached up and licked his check.

Autumnkit mewed as her mother stretched up. She felt something in her belly. Ouch! She thought. She squeaked at the sudden pain. It probably one of her sisters, but it still hurt!

[Lynx]

Skimble got a big smile. "Thank you, my old friend.", he mewed. To Flower he said: "I just got adventurious because of good ol' Mac here. Blame him for it!" He broke out in a mreow of laughter. Then he got all serious again and turned to Macavity. "When they're old enough for apprenticeship I want you to mentor one of them. You have the free choice. By the way, the orange one is Cedarkit, the tortoiseshell who's squeaking is Autumnkit and the other one is Berrykit. All three healthy she-kits."

[Cheesles]

Autumnkit squeaked and wriggled away from her mother and father, and over to the new comer. He had a similar scent to her father's. She wriggled over his paws and tried to leap up at him. But she couldn't walk, let alone jump and play fight with a warrior.

[Lynx]

Berrykit felt and scneted that Autumnkit had turned away, so she followed her. Once she found her scent nearest she bumped into something fluffly. She scented the air. It smells like daddy!, she thought. So she curled up in the fluffy thing she thought of being her father's tail. Instead, it was Macavity's tail. She smelled her sister nearby so she really believed this was her father.

Cedarkit payed no mind to the other cats that her mother was so happily talking about. Instead she started to cral away from her, back to the wall she was unkowingly approaching. She was going to see where this ended, mother or not!

[Cheesles]

Ivykit padded into the nest with a mouse. She tossed the mouse over to Flower and carefully grabbed the little kit. She helped it back over to its mother. "This is, Cedarkit?" She asked.

When, suddenly picked up, Cedarkit let out loud, distressed wails, kicking around blindly to let herself loose. Most attempts would be futile, but she was aiming with earnest to make her attempt perfectly sane. She had to get out, she wasn't hungry, she wasn't tired, there was no point in coming back. And whoever this was carrying her around like a lump of moss was going to get a one-two when she opened her eyes. In fact, she might as well do it right now! Right as soon as she cares to.

[Cheesles]

Flower looked gratefully at the older kit and carefully toke Cedarkit from her trying to avoid the flailing paws and tiny claws. She lay the kit at her belly to suckle. "No more adventures for you until you can see and walk properly!" She mewed.

Cedarkit could smell her mother's milk close to her. So... that's how it's going to be! She turned her head away from her mother. Fine then, she's going on strike! She won't drink a single drop until she got to go explore this place. If they were going to stifle her, she was going to call all kind of distress!

[Cheesles]

Flower looked up at Ivykit, "How would you like to do a little job for me?" When the older kit nodded she replied, "She obviously wants to explore, but because she's blind, can you help her around?" She asked.

Cedarkit laid defiantly where she was, not moving a muscle. She will not be moved! She could hear them, but she didn't understand their words. She wasn't paying attention. Strike! Strike! Strike! She wouldn't move she wouldn't eat. Not until she heard the words she was looking for. She wouldn't even open her eyes, even if she was ready, she'd prolong it. Strike forever! She won't eat, she won't move, she won't speak, she won't see! There's no reason to know a world you aren't allowed to visit.

As Flower lifted the kit, Ivykit stepped back. When Cedarkit was put down, Ivykit leant forward, helping the young kit to stand up. Then she stood back, to let the kit try and wriggle its way around.

Cedarkit let out an angry grunt-mew as she felt her mother pushed her up a little. No! Quickly she laid herself back down, firm in her place. They'd give up eventually. And then she'd have her way! Yes she would! They didn't think she understood! Well she did! She understood perfectly.

[Lynx]

Berrykit gave a squeal of frustration. Why must her sisters be so loud? She wants to sleep! She wriggled around and searched for her mother. And while she turned around to sniff the air it simply happened. She could see! Not well, but she saw a blinding white light, the rest was all very vague. She squealed out of fear of the new world she just met and turned around faster in need of her mother.
