Reflections (Open)

[Naruto]

The ThunderClan camp was quiet and empty, most of it's inhabitants inside their dens to escape the dreary rain that fell from the gray sky. Rain again. The warmer temperatures of New Leaf had made the snow melt, turning it into an icy rain. There was not even the faint chirp of a cricket, much less any sounds of prey. Hopefully the territory would be well stocked with food again by Green Leaf. As it always was before.

Just inside the warm confines of the nursery sat Raindapple, her eyes reflecting the rain that fell in sheets. Always just one pattern. The rain only falls one way. The seasons always change into one another. The changes in the Clans seem insignificant. She curled her dappled tail around her paws, looking back once to check on her kits, snuggled in her nest.

Her eyes softened, watching them stretch their tiny legs and yawn as they slept soundly. It seemed only yesterday that she, Lillyflower, and Leopardstrike were apprentices, and they were getting in trouble for hunting without a warrior.

But Lillyflower, as well as herself, were both mothers now. Leopardstrike was a father. She sighed and looked back out the entrance. By now puddles were forming in the frozen mud, making the ground mushy and wet. Raindapple got up, careful not to make much noise so as to not wake the kits and queens, and slipped out, standing just beside the entrance.

Within a matter of moments her pelt was soaked, clinging to her body and making her look even scrawnier, her ribs faint lines in her coat. She sat down, her paws making deep imprints in the mud, and looked down at her paws, blue eyes lost with memories.

OOC:MY MUSE CAME BACK!

[Lillyflower]

Lillyflower, who had decided to remain a Queen and not go back to being a Warrior, for now anyway, was asleep in the Nursery. Her Kit, Honeypaw, was now an Apprentice, but she had not seen her go out Training yet, and Lillyflower was not sure who Honeypaw's Mentor was too.

Honeypaw had been asleep, but the rain was too loud for her to sleep any more. So they young Apprentice stepped out of the Apprentcies Den, and soon found Raindapple, and padded over to her.
"Hello" Honeypaw meowed.

[Wolvine]

OOC: I'm farily sure Queens can't stay queens without kits...

ooc: Daisy stayed a queen, as did Ferncloud. In the books.

OOC: That's because they were complete and total failures.

ooc: yeah they did. Ferncloud kept havin kits but Daisy only had two litters

Raindapple nodded to Honeypaw. "Hello."

"What are you guys doing?" Branchtwist asked as he looked down at the two. He'd come over when he spotted them rom the warriors den. Now his fur was all wet. "You're going to get greencough out here!" He looked between the two cats. Honeypaw couldn't get sick because it would effect her training. And Raindapple couldn't get sick because she has kits! Where were they anyways? Alone in the nursery?

Branchtwist pointed his ears towards the nursery and strained his ears. He could just barely hear over the rain the mewling of one of the kits. He let go of the noise and looked back at the two she-cats.

[Lillyflower]

Honeypaw glared at the Warrior "you are not the boss of me, I have not even seen my Mentor yet, and I have had no Training. So leave me alone", then Honeypaw shook her Fur, and went back into the Apprentices Den, where, within a few Minuets, she fell asleep.

[Naruto]

Raindapple sighed. "It's hard to have alone time now."she murmured fondly, looking back into the nursery. "Ashkit doesn't like it if I leave the nest for even a minute."

[DOCTA OCTAGONAPUS]

ooc: ...do you mind if I join?

Starkit and her brother sat outside the nursery, Moonkit with his ears against his head at the noise the new kits were making.
"It's like bats," he muttered. "They're all screechy when they cry."
Starkit ignored him, forgetting to point out he was a screechy bat-kit once. She was humming a little song, twitching her tail on the beat. She wanted to play with someone, and she knew her brother wouldn't want to.

[Lillyflower]

Honeypaw looked back out, she was still not tired, and wanted just to be a Kit, again. So she padded over to the Two Kits, and meowed "Hello", with a slight purr to her voice.

Branchtwist watched Honeypaw go, confusion in his eyes. He hadn't said anything of that sort! But he shrugged it off. She was a she-cat, of course she'd act like that. "Maybe he's just worried. He can't see yet, so maybe it's just creepy being alone without a familiar.... smell." He shrugged. He didn't know how kits worked. He couldn't remember himself before he could see, so he couldn't put anything into his theory.

[Naruto]

"Yeah..." Raindapple trailed off. "How are your warrior duties coming along?"she asked, changing the subject.

"Oh, they're going fine. Though, maybe not the hunting so much." Hunting, as it had been, was hard. He thought it would get better, but it didn't seem to. Every cat was showing the effect, except for Raindapple when she was pregnant, but now, she just seemed mediocre, she'd get thinner like the rest of them soon enough. He didn't know what to say for her kits. "Though, I'm having trouble. I can't seem to find Chimepaw anywhere." Where was his apprentice!

[Naruto]

Raindapple nodded. "Haven't seen her anywhere."

Squirrelkit wriggled inside the nursery, sleeping for a brief moment before waking. Her eyes flashed open, emerald green mixed with dark amber.

Starkit greeted Honeypaw with a bright smile. She rubbed against her shoulder. "Hi!" Honeypaw was pretty much like her sister, right? No wait, her.....her NIECE! HAH!

ooc: because Sun like fostered Lily as a kit and yeah....

Branchtwist sighed with hopelessly. He'd just gotten her, and now she was gone. Where was his apprnetice? He felt like he was the worst mentor in history! Why! Why oh why!?

Within the nursery, Bluekit glanced from his nest. There he saw the eyes of Squirrelkit, staring in his direction, but not at him. He looked away. Myeah. Wait... Suddenenly he looked back at her. Her eyes were open! Should he tell someone or let them just figure it out by themselves? He got up and padded towards her, poking her in the side to make sure she was fully awake, and wasn't just going to fall back asleep after she just opened her eyes.

He looked over at the other kits, they still lay eyes closed, with sound mind, except for Ashkit, who was mewling worriedly. Ah, why doesn't that kit just shut up?

[Naruto]

Sqiurrelkit squeaked in annoyance. Can't he see I'm awake? Then she looked around. Everything was so... Bright! And colorful! She mewled, extending her paws to bat at Bluekit's face weakly.

"Friggin' tiny little babies. I hate the little buggers so much." cursed Twilightkit to himself. He glared at Squirrelkit and her siblings, they were encroaching on his territory. Trying to take over. With their cute and cuddliness. Well he wouldn't have it. No way! Not in this life time. He'd rather eat off his own frozen toes, or go to the Cutter or even stuff his face into a pile of fox dung than have them take over.

[Naruto]

Squirrelkit looked over at Twilightkit, his image fuzzy because of her still-bad-eyesight. "Mew?"

[Lillyflower]

Honeypaw gave a gentle purr "how old are you Two now?", Honeypaw asked.

Bluekit blinked when Squirrelkit's paw hit him on the face. He grinned after that. Cool. He looked ack over at the other kits. How come they didn't open their eyes too? He poked Ashkit with his paw. In response, the little kit jumped up and rushed towards Twilightkit, hiding behind him, unaware of what had touched him. When he looked back his eyes were wide open, looking frightened over at Bluekit. Bluekit titled his head at the other cat and then turned his attention back to Squirrelkit.

Ashkit looked around the nursery frantically, blinded by the light, even though it was dimmed by the rain. His eyes hurt! He had been attacked, and where was his mother! His fur stood on end as he trembled in his nervous fright.

[Naruto]

Squirrelkit smiled and batted more at Bluekit's face, her paws tiny and soft.

Muse for Squirrely left...

Raindapple looked back into the nursery, her eyes fond. "It seems they're awake,"she purred, moving to go back into the den.
