Patroling...

[Wolvine]

Nightjaw sniffed the air, looking down at the river. "Riverclan scent.." He meowed to himself.

[Cheesles]

Shadowclaw sniffed. There was no point though, of course it was Riverclan...

As they patroled Shadowclaw was regaining the memories, before he was deputy, before he was a father and a mate. He wished things could've stayed the way they were. But he loved Flarestorm the same way as Spottedheart as well.

[Wolvine]

Nightjaw sighed and stopped, looking at Shadowclaw. "I've seen you with Flarestom..." He whispered. "I know you like her... And I'm sorry if I've been a bit snobby recently its just..." He turned away suddenly and gave a small wail. "You don't know what its like Shadowclaw, being alone. My mother was murdered and my father is dieing. It pains me that I cannot be with him during his death."

[Cheesles]

"I am sorry to, every since Spottedheart..." He trailed off.
"And yes I do like Flarestorm," Shadowclaws belly churned thinking wether to tell Nightjaw about the kits.
"We are also having kits." He mewed.

[Wolvine]

"I guessed. You two spend more time togeather than normal friends do." Nightjaw looked away. Shadowclaw was hardly listening. Or he just didn't care. His father was slowly and painfully loosing his life. His brother was doing his best, but what could a cat, hardly more than a kit do? He sat by the lake's edge and pawed half-heartedly at a small fish, too tiny to catch. He watched it dart away before his paw was even a mouse-length away.

[Cheesles]

"What's wrong?" Shadowclaw asked noticing his old friends sorrow. He sat down beside him and watched him paw at the surface and the fish as it darted away.

[Wolvine]

"You are too happy to share my sorrow Shadowclaw, or even listen." Nightjaw sighed.

[Cheesles]

Shadowclaw growled in his head,
"Why wouldn't I listen your my best friend!" He mewed to Nightjaw,
"And how could I be happy if your so unhappy?" He mewed. But he knew it was no use. Warriors never told him any secrets, becuase they were afraid he was gonna tell the leader.
"I wouldn't tell Shadowstar unless it would put the clan in danger."

[Wolvine]

"I have already told you SHadowclaw! You didn't listen to me!" Nightjaw cried. He sighed and repeated himself. "My father Shadowclaw. He is dieing." The words choked him but somehow he managed to spit them out. "Without him my younger brother will also die. Where I come from we rely on family. Once they are all gone, you have nobody to care for you. WIthout my father to stand up for him, Ember will not survive. Badger will work him till he dies." He closed his eyes. "He's hardly more than a kit Shadowclaw. He would be an apprentice here. They would make him work like a human monster."

[Cheesles]

Shadowclaw listened intently and shared Nightjaws grief.
"I am so sorry to hear that." He mewed sadly letting Nightjaw lean on him. "If your father dies why don't you bring your brother here?" Shadowclaw sugested.

[Wolvine]

"Because...(Wolvine doesn't want to make another bio. Thats why D<)" Nightjaw sighed.

[Cheesles]

"Well (i can make bio) if you want." Shadowclaw mewed.

[Wolvine]

"But (YOU DUN KNOW WHAT HE'S LIKE DX) Shadowclaw....." Nightjaw sighed. "Very well, but it still doesn't change the sorrow I am feeling. I can't even be with my father during his last monments."

"Nightjaw, I really want to be friends again." Shadowclaw confessed,
"And with your fathers death nearing I want to help you and in return I want your frendship and loyalty. I have never had such a loyal and great friend before you." He mewed.

"Is this some kind of deal?" Nightjaw hissed. "Thats what you making it sound like. Your using my father's death as a way to make me your friend again. I can choose if I am loyal to you or not."

Shadowclaw fell back. Tears were coming to his eyes. How could his friend think that? He looked at Nightjaws eyes and sadness filled his soul. Obviously he was never going to be friends with him again. He stood up slowly and drew in a breath. He looked once more at his friend.
"I am sorry," Shadowclaws voice shook as he spoke.
"I really thought we could be friends again." He nodded his head quickly and leap up onto a rock. Tears flooded his eyes as he glanced over his shoulder at his old friend. He turned and galloped away. He really thought they could be friends again.

Nightjaw stared after SHadowclaw. 'I want to help you and in return I want your friendship.' That was what he had said. He had never asked for his deputy's help. You couldn't wager a friendship. And when he had said what he thought Shadowclaw had ran off. Some deputy he was, running away after rrealizing that he had said something stupid.

[Cheesles]

(No Nightjaw is stupid! He is an idiot and I am really starting to loathe him. Shadowclaw is genuinely trying to be friends again he is acting like most snobby american teenagers! And cats do cry idiot. Now hurry up and pm what ember is like. And shadowclaw didn't realise what he said was stupid, he ran cause he realised trying to be friends with the ridiculous excuse for cat was pointless.)

Shadowclaws thoughts swirled, couldn't Nightjaw see how wrong he was being. Shadowclaw couldn't help feeling worried. Was more then his fathers death and his brothers doom scaring him. Shadowclaw stopped, wondering wether to go back and talk to him. It was his job to make sure his clan felt safe. He eventually made the decision to go back.

Shadowclaw walked up to Nightjaw and addressed him like he would any other cat, not as a friend.
"Is something other then the fate of your family worrying you?" He mewed solomly. But in his mind he was yowling, What in the name of Starclan is making you so grumpy? We have been friends since we were kits!

[Wolvine]

OOC: Cats DON'T cry. The only animals that cry are humans, elephants and crocodiles. Yes crocodiles cry. And your being silleh by making SHadowclaw say stupid things XD

Nightjaw raised his head and sighed as the cat came back. "The fact that you don't seem to care." He whispered, turning away.

Shadowclaw stopped, a sudden thought had struck his mind. He knew that more then his brothers doom and his fathers looming death was bothering Nightjaw, and Shadowclaw intended to find out one way or another.

Shadowclaw leapt back over the rocks between him and his clan-mate. He trotted solemnly over to Nightjaw. He knew he needed to help Nightjaw no, he wanted to. Not as a deputy of his clan, but as a friend.

"Nightjaw I think, no I know that more then your families doom and the fact that 'I don't seem to care' is bothering you. You are not the only cat in the clan with roots from outside." Shadowclaw toke a quick breath.
"Nightjaw, when you came to this clan all those years ago, I knew what it felt like to be different and alone. I wanted to help you so you wouldn't have the same outcome. I had never had any friends before you. But when you say I don't seem to care how do you think that makes me feel?" He paused despite it being rhetorical question.
"It makes me wonder why I even bothered." He mewed searching Nightjaws eyes.
"I was born outside the clan too." He mewed.

(Could they be long lost brothers? Shadowclaw could've been taken from the clan at a very early age, one he was to young to remeber anyone in the group of rogues. But he remembered his brother that could be Nightjaw. But not enough to remember him exactly, he just remembers he had one. The pack could've thought he was stolen but he wandered off and found his way to Riverclan who obviously toke him in.)

Nightjaw looked at Shadowclaw for a while, feeling a pain in his heart. 'I'm sorry I've been so bad to you latly. Its just knowing the certain doom looming over my family, topped with the fact that two Riverclan kits leaving the clan is too much stress for me."

[Cheesles]

"Well none could've prevented that but don't let that come between us. Please Nightjaw, I want to be friends and help you through such a difficult time. I know what it is like to lose someone dear. Please all I ask for is your friendship so we can settle this forever." Shadowclaw looked up and held his paw out in an odd gesture.

(No they could be to young to remember all the knew is that they had a brother, the pack could have thought that Shadowclaw was dead so they never bothered looking. NOW PM ME WHAT EMBER LOOKS LIKE AND BEHAVES LIKE YOU APPLEHOLE AND BISCUIT HEAD!!!!!! Yes I is now done.)
