Hunting with Mudpaw (open??)

Brightpaw raced ahead of her forgiven friend, on the trail of a rabbit that had passed here. She slowed as she felt the cold sand between her pads, spotting the reabbit across the beach. "Hm." she murmured.

[Mosspaw]

Mudpaw shot past Brightpaw at the speed of 4 rabbits and stumbled, falling flat on his face, and getting sand in his mouth. He spat the sand out the best he could, but it still tasted like mud. "Here, let me insult myself." He stated clearly. "I will now be named Mudmouth, for my terrible clumsiness." He joked. Mudpaw jumped up and charged at the rabbit that Brightpaw tracked so carefully, he ran at it, and as it bolted away, he skidded on his belly, trapping the rabbit in between his paws. He didn't notice the thing until he had stopped sliding, then bit its neck, finishing it off. He padded back to Brightpaw, kill in his mouth. He dropped it in front of her, then meowed, "I saw that vole that you left in the cave, you'd better eat, and since we're not on hunting patrol, you're allowed. PLUS, if you eat, maybe you could run faster!" he looked mockingly at Brightpaw. "If you share, I'll race you down the beach!" He smiled.

Brightpaw laughed and stuck her tongue out at him. "I can race even if I don't eat," she mewed teasingly, "I wasn't hungry, that's all."

[Mosspaw]

"Whatever you say," Mudpaw started,"I'll do the race backwards, and still win!" he said, racing backwards down the beach, stumbling and falling again. "i should be called Sandpelt or something." he shook the sand off, trying again to run backwards.

Brightpaw laughed and buried the rabbit before trotting after her friend. She raced ahead of him, the cold sand hard beneath her paws, nearly frozen.

[Mosspaw]

Mudpaw continued running backwards, and falling, seeing Brightpaw race ahead of him, he ran up and slid on his belly, going in circles, and knocked Brightpaw over. "This is crazy fun!" He yowled, getting up to slide on the wet sand again. He hit a hill, and dropped downward, whacking his head on the sand, and laying there for a second, before getting up and stumbling around. "Ow."

Brightpaw watched Mudpaw fall and laughed. She glanced up at the horizon, flicking her ears. The sun was low, making the clouds purple and orange. "We should head back," she called, "It'll be dark soon."

[Mosspaw]

"Okay" Mudpaw said, stumbling around in the sand, before getting in step next to Brightpaw, walking back towards the camp. "Today was fun." He said "We should do it again some time."

[DOCTA OCTAGONAPUS]

Brightpaw nodded, the rabbit in her mouth. They neared the camp and she sped up. "Ferretfligh wi be sho prou tuh shee that you caugh this," she meowed past the rabbit's fur.

"Well I didn't track it all the way to the beach!" Mudpaw tried to act nice. "So, what do you say about my offer, do you want to go down to the beach again some time? Maybe the sand will be completely frozen, then we could slide across the ice like fish."

"Sure!" she laughed.

[Mosspaw]

"then its a date!" Mudpaw laughed, snatching the rabbit and running into the Main Cave.
