Batpaw sat in the middle of the clearing,snow falling gently around him. His golden eyes were bored,and he curled his tail tightly around his paws to keep warm. He made no move towards the apprentice's den,however,to see if anyone wanted to go hunting. Because he preferred sitting alone watching the snow to hunting in the company of grieving sisters and a cat that was always depressed. He felt he should know them better,as they were somewhat like him. They'd lost someone early in life. But he didn't feel like having to keep up with them or hearing them chatter about life in camp. It. Was. Too. Boring. He twitched his whiskers,dislodging a small dusting of snow. Wonder when someone will come along....he thought boredly,blinking slowly and yawning.

Rainpaw walked into the clearing, yawning slightly with boredom. She saw Batpaw sitting there in the snow and charged up to him. "Are you mouse-brained? You're gonna catch greencough, silly." she pawed at his shoulder, trying to get him to say something. She wasn't tired at all and her training with Shadowclaw had been cut short the day before.

Batpaw turned his head towards the other apprentice,still bored. He motioned to his thick fur,with a look that said,"I'll be fine." He licked one paw to clean his face,melting the snow that had collected on his whiskers. He still refused to speak,not wanting to start a conversation with this hyper young cat.

Rainpaw looked at Batpaw, shocked. She had a semi-long coat too, but she still got cold. Allright, guess I'll start. "That's it." She brought both paws up to him and leaned against him, with all her weight, to push him over. He looked about the same age, which ment he would weigh more.

[Naruto]

Flicking his tail,Batpaw simply got up and walked about a tail-length away and sat down again. Rainpaw might think it rude,but oh well. The massive apprentice shrugged and blinked again,his eyes carefully blank and emotionless.

Rainpaw sighed. At least he didn't say anything. She went over to the fresh-kill pile and picked out two fish, a trout and a lazy looking catfish. She padded back to Batpaw and sat beside him. She took the trout and gave him the fat catfish. "If you won't play, at least eat with me." she gave him a sorrowful look. She never knew her parents, but now she felt as alone as ever. She had always occupied herself with chores and apprentice duties to keep her mind of things, but this cat was bringing everything back.

"Thanks."Batpaw's voice was rough from lack of use,and he crouched to eat the fish,sinking his sharp teeth into the soft flesh. He finished in a few swift bites,licking his lips to remove all traces of the prey. He looked over at the other apprentice,a question in his eyes. Why would she even bother....? Then he turned away again and closed his eyes,remembering his two sisters that had died before becoming apprentices,his mother who'd died from the strain of giving birth to them,and the father he never knew.

Spotpaw ambled into the clearing and over to the two apprentices. She looked down at them, her eyes half closed with a bored expression. She looked down at the two apprentices. Wow....

"How about you two get your big butts up so we can try some hunting before the water freezes over."

[Naruto]

The massive tom looked up,his eyes dull with boredom. He nodded silently,agreeing. They needed all the prey they could get,didn't they? He wasn't sure. He didn't keep up with those things. He cast a glance towards the fresh-kill pile. Yeah,they needed the prey. He got up and shrugged off some snow that had stuck to his jet black fur,meowing,"Where are we going?"

"To the river, Batpaw, where else?" Spotpaw titlted her head at the black apprentice. "You didn't hit your head on something, did you?" After all, fish from the river was RiverClan's main food source. They didn't actually look anywhere else until Leafbare ran in like it was now.

Rainpaw hissed at Spotpaw. "You've got a lot of nerve talking to me like that. You're either too dumb or you don't know me very well." she stood up, her neck fur bristling. "I will claw your ears clear off of that dopey looking face of yours." she glared at him with a fierce gaze.

[Naruto]

Batpaw didn't hesitate. "There's been so much rain lately,we're bound to have hundreds of rivers and streams in the territory."he growled,getting up and stalking out of camp.

[Goldenstorm]

Rainpaw charged out of camp after Batpaw, following his scent. She found him near the main river.
