Dawnblossom, Berrykit, and Pebblekit

Dawnblossom sat in the center of the nursury, grooming her ginger tabby fur while watching her kits, Berrykit and Pebblekit, play. Suddenly the entrance of the den quivered and Shadestone, Dawnblossom's mate, walked in, shaking his wet, gray pelt. "I hate this weather," He grumbled as he took a place next to Dawnblossom. "Our kits are beautiful," he whispered. "Even though he's not ours, I still love him to pieces," He said, pointing his nose at Pebblekit. "You did the right thing saving him from that rouge," Dawnblossom murmured. The kits continued to play as though they had heard nothing.
