Lionpaw padded into the apprentices den. "Hey could I try that move too?", he mewed to Mintpaw and Firenose.

Firenose narrowed his eyes at the apprentice. "I guess." He mewed, getting into a defensive stance. "Alright try it." He urged, lashing his tail.

Lionpaw pu all the strength he has in a huge jump, spinned midair and tried to land on Firenose. As he did he tried to bring the older cat off balance with a sheathed claw.

Firenose grunted as he lost his balance and landed on the ground with a thud. "Good." He grunted, springing up and shaking his pelt. "Come at me again." He mewed, ready to trick Lionpaw.

The young apprentice leaped in the air again adn it looked like the same move, but he spinned so that he landed behind Firenose. He pulled the hindlegs of the older cat with his paws and let himself fall on Firenose's belly with his body.

"You have some natural fighting skill, i see." Firenose mewed, kicking with his hindlegs and throwing the smaller apprentice off and planting a large paw on lionpaws chest.

Lionpaw fought for breath. "Wow!", he mewed. "I never expected this!"
After a while he added. "And thanks Firenose. Since this thing with my sister, I want to be so good for the two of us..." He let the sentence trail off.

Firenose let Lionpaw up, with a quick lick to his chest. "What happened with your sister?" He mewed curiously.

Lionpaw sat up, flicking his tail nervously. He looked down on his paws. "You forgot? Shortly after I was born my sister and I decided to go out hunting, since the clan needed to eat. We went out of the camp into the open as..." He let the sentence trail off and licked over his chest. Then he flexed his claws into the ground. "As ... as it happened." He bit into his tail to think clear again and don't begin to cry. "A hawk saw us and took my sister away as we played on the ground. I bit in her tail so that the hawk would let go, but all I got was a bit of fur...", he mewed.
"I saw the hawk carry her away. I sat there and heard her painful voice. Heard her caling for me. Until she was too far away and I even couldn't see her. I returned home without her. I will never stop giving myself the guilt for what happened. Now I have to be strong for her, too. I have to be twice as good as anyone else in anything. One day I want to become deputy and then clan leader. And then I'll make sure every hawk is killed and served as fresh-kill. I'll never let this happen again.", he finished.

Firenose placed the tip of his tail on Lionpaws shoulder, attempting to comfort him. "Im sure she's in starclan now." Firenose mewed, softening his hard amber gaze slightly.

Lionpaw looked Firenose in the eyes. "Well, sure. She is the best cat in whole StarClan! Anyway, I'm hungry. Can we go and hunt?", he mewed.

Firenose shook his head, "Yeah sure" Padding through the heather, he mewed, "Do you smell anything?" He had smelt mouse, but he wasn't going to give it away. He wanted to see this apprentices hunting abilities.

"Moor, grass, and..." He pressed himself to the ground, crouched forward and killed a mouse which as under a bush. "... mouse. Come one, Firenose, I not a new apprentice, I can hunt mice already.", he mewed. "Share?"

Firenose grunted as he crouched down next to the prey. When he finished the mouse with the smaller apprentice, he swiped his jaws, only to dash into the vast sea of heather. Moments later, he returned with a rabbit dangling limply in his jaws, his eyes gleaming. "This should feed the kits and queens." He mewed, licking his chest.

"Lets get back to camp, before dumb Silverfang starts thinking i killed you." With a flick of his tail, he picked up his rabbit and started towards the camp, looking back to see if Lionpaw was following.

Lionpaw swung himself at Firenose. "Silverfang's not dumb! He's a tactist!", he mewed. And knocked Firenose playfully off balance.
He let go of the older cat. "Wanna catch my tail? It's all fluffy!"

OOC: Really, Lionpaw loves his fluffy tail, cause at first it asnt fluffy. It got fluffy since he is now nearly adult.

Firenose blinked. "You love that tail, eh?" Then, without warning, he bit down on Lionpaws tail, with a sturdy but not painful grip.

"My tail!", he mewed. He pressed a paw in Firenose's face. "It is no prey!" As he got free he licked wildly over his tail to make it al fluffy again.

Mintpaw was watching the two toms from the cover of a large clump of heather. She had a rabbit she had chased and killed lying next to her as well. She tensed her back legs and pushed off, flying through the air. Her aim was to playfully land on Lionpaw's tail, but right after she lifted off she knew that her aim was a little off.

Lionpaw saw the flying she-cat and moved to the side. As she hit ground Lionpaw sniffed her. "Are you alright?", he mewed. "What were you doing?"
