TREEHUNTER'S HUNTING TRIP

Treehunter trotted silently through the bushes, back and forth; back and forth. Life in camp had gotten too crowded ... he much rather be with a nice oak then a bunch of smelly cats who wouldn't get off their lazy butts to get him a squirrel. Seeing his latest prey, the crazy old tom hunched down in his best stalking position, hoping his target wouldn't scent him. TREE! The rain pattered around him, but he didn't care. Everything else was blurred other then the tree ... everything else weird rainbow colors, the great oak the only thing in focus.
A happy tune played int eh background, drawing him to it. Now, Treehunter came within a tail-length of the tree and began circling it, suspisciously, knowing that at any moment it could leap up and get him. FREEZE! The tree rustled fomr the wind and Treehunter's ears perked, thinking the tree would fall at any instant. He bounced, karate-chopping the tree with great force, a large branch in the middle being his target. Time seemed to slow, freeze even as his leg was outstrtched, lips pulled back in a snarl. He wasn't letting this tree get the best of him! Leg hitting the tree with all the epicness of the world, teh large branch snapped off and Treehunter mewed triumphantly.
MUAH HA HA HA he thought silently, picking up the hunk of wood in his weathered maw. Tail and head held high, he trotted again back to camp, smiling all the way.
When he reached camp the branch stretched out two fox-lengths beside him and he turned his body to fit through. Ignoring the looks from other cats he dropped the wood on the fresh-kill pile. Good hunting day. That would feed a good few cats at the least. "BRING MEH A SQUIRREL!"
