Battle Training

Rainpaw followed Shadowclaw to where they were to practice battle moves.

"Here." Shadowclaw mewed when they reached the training hollow. Despite his fight with Nightjaw and the death of his mate, Shadowclaw had been training his apprentice when ever possible to take his mind off things.

[Goldenstorm]

"What?" Rainpaw mewed, confused. "What do we do now?" her fur bristled, just in case her mentor decided to do anything funny.


ooc: it ok

[Cheesles]

"Ok!" Shadowclaw meowed snapping back into the present. He stood up and toke a ready stance.
"Attack me!"

[Goldenstorm]

Well this is simple. Rainpaw launched herself at Shadowclaw, hoping to batter into his chest and send him scattered in the dust.

[Cheesles]

Shadowclaw simply stepped aside. He struk out a sheathed paw and wisked without hurting Rainpaw down the flank as he crashed into the bushes. "Remember, don't be so obvious and be really quick." Shadowclaw mewed.

[Goldenstorm]

Rainpaw growled "I wouldn't have if you warned me." she was furious, her pelt fluffed. She took a few deep breathes and got ready to attack again. She took off as fast as she could with her tail waving in the air. Rainpaw sped past her mentor, veering a sudden turn and slid under him, her back brustling his underbelly. She pulled down on him from one side and pinned him down, her jaws lightly around his neck. She tensed, waiting for a counter.

[Cheesles]

Shadowclaw flipped backward. He landed on his back lightly, not hurting his apprentice. He rolled over to loosed her grip. He let her get to her feet before he attacked again. He wanted her to defend now without him telling her. He wanted to know if she could think fast in the heat of battle. He slid underneath her and tangled his legs with hers hoping to trip her up.

[Goldenstorm]

Rainpaw gasped in suprise. She felt utterly defenseless. She simply fell limp upon him, not knowing what to do.

[Cheesles]

Shadowclaw shoved her off and stood up.

Snapping back into the heat of her battle training, Rainpaw stood up. She jumped over her mentor and landed on her hind legs, turning still on her hind legs, her paw extended, ready to swipe both her mentors back legs, hoping to make them topple over.

[Cheesles]

Rainpaws paw hit Shadowclaws hind legs. He buckled under the weight and power of the blow, colapsing on the ground. He leapt up a second later and leapt over Rainpaw. He landed behind her shot down between her legs. He heaved upwards sending his apprentice flying.

[Goldenstorm]

Rainpaw landed with a grunt, heaving herself up once more, she skirted the nearby bush and leaped herself into the nearest tree. Disguised by her pelt, she remained hidden, leaping from tree to tree steadily making her way towards Shadowclaw.

[Cheesles]

Shadowclaw looked around trying to find his apprentice. He sensed a movement in one of the trees he prepared for Rainpaw to leap.

[Goldenstorm]

Rainpaw stopped moving, seeing her mentor sense her. She crouched in the tree and waited for Shadowclaw to do something.
Seeing him do nothing but tense, Rainpaw was intertupted by a squacking thrush, suddenly she got an idea.
Rainpaw killed the thrush silenty, pouncing in the air, the squacking stopped without another sound. She threw the thrush down and aimed for it to land on Shadowclaw. Then, without knowing how he would react to the thrush she jumped out of the tree as she heard the thrush hit something.

[Cheesles]

Shadowclaw shot his paw out to sheild himself from the thrush.
"Don't waste perfect fresh kill like that!" He mewed sternly. "Now get down we must get back to camp."

[Goldenstorm]

Rainpaw jumped out of her hiding tree. "I planned to pick it up." she replied, hopeful Shadowclaw would belive her. "Why do we have to stop now?"

[Cheesles]

"I meant that I could have thought it was you and shreaded it and it anything else could have happened don't do it again!" He hissed.
"You listen to me, we are stopping now because of a good reason. I need to talk to Rainpaw."

[Goldenstorm]

ooc: your talkin to rainpaw now. silly goose xd.

"You know as well as I do, this was a claws sheathed fight. Plus, your already talking to me." she stood her ground.

[Cheesles]

"I don't care if it was claws sheathed! Don't do it again. And for argueing back at me you are to clean the elders den for a week, ON YOUR OWN! No hunting or battle training. I meant I need to talk to Shadowstar." He mewed curtly. "Hurry up!" He hissed stlking out of the clearing.

[Goldenstorm]

Rainpaw cursed under her breath. She stayed in the clearing then left. She decided she was going to hunt the forest.

OOC: Grumpeh mentor. Rainpaw should ditch him xD

yeah. He gotta bad attitude. lol

(No his friends has a bad attitude and it is rubbing off on him.)

"You will come back to camp at once and begin those chores, I said no hunting, that begins now." He grabbed the apprentice and tugged it along.
"I was going to talk to Shadowstar about you becoming a warrior. But you just showed that when you argue with a warrior that you don't stop so you aren't ready to be one yourself." He let go and walked behind Rainpaw making sure she went back to camp.

[Goldenstorm]

Rainpaw hissed. "By the way we train, I'll never be a warrior!" she darted forward, taking the route back to camp, but turned at the last moment to be next to the WindClan border.
